Brandon entered the agreed upon location shortly after landing, even though he knew it was nothing more than a trick of the eyes he still breathed deeper than usual, seeking out that fresher air that the plants provided. He walked over and sat at one of the terminals, the holo-projector activating at his presence. A screen appeared floating in midair right in front of where Brad was sitting. Motioning with his hands he opened the station libraries page, than sat back into the chair, waiting for his guest.

A figure resembling a man encased in both metal and plastics enters the room. It pauses for a few moments. It's photosynthetic receptors quickly dart around the room, taking in the flora. An imperceptible inhalation grants the Artificial Life Form an entirely new and not unpleasant experience of smell. The lab it came from was very sterile, lacking in external sensitivities. A brief look of surprise flashes across it’s plastic/metallic face. What cannot be seen is the storage of every sight and sound into it’s nearly infinite data banks. When the entities “eyes” fall on Dr. Brandon Wright a slight furrow between what passes as a forehead and eyes creases. The displayed confusion is quickly replaced with its natural appearance of near disinterest. It approaches the doctor with an unnatural gait, almost as if it is not accustomed to walking. As it sits in a chair near the doctor it notices the data displayed on his holoterminal. In a monotone and slightly digital voice it begins to speak.

Salutation: Greetings.

Statement: This Station Freeport 9 is most fascinating. This Unit was not prepared for the sights, smells, and sounds. This Unit will now create a new hypothesis. It was created to resemble Carbon Based Life Forms. The Artificial Life Forms that discovered This Unit must utilize a similar design in order to facilitate interactions between Artificial Life Forms and Carbon Based Life Forms.

Brandon grinned slightly at seeing the A.I. enter the room, it most certainly wasn't any "normal" A.I. if there was such a word. "Yes, perhaps we should start with introductions, I am Dr. Brandon Wright of the Ingenuus Research Group.". He paused and gestured to the powered up terminal "Indeed, you already have access to all our public records on the sector, but I figured you might have some more pointed questions." he doubled tapped twice and a system map of Siruis was displayed across the screen, each house had its territory outlined. "You said you wanted to learn, and well, there you are."

A quick raising of the forehead belays a glimmer of curiosity. This visage is rapidly replaced by it's neutral expression. The entity reaches forward to interact with the holoterminal. Soon it is accessing the data banks almost as fast as the station can display it's information.

Once finished with the holoterminal the entity leans back into it's seat. A low hum can be heard while the entities head develops a slight shake. This lasts for several moments and abruptly stops. For a moment it appears to have shut down before slightly turning it's head toward Dr. Wright.

Hypothesis: Influx of information from Station Freeport 9... ...System Fault...

Elaboration: This Unit may not be capable of completing Primary Function due to limited abilities of current Drone Vessel. Preliminary evaluation of newly stored data indicates the Sirius Sector, Major Houses, and Organization utilize currency known as Sirius Credits. Further extrapolation of data suggests This Unit could not explore the entirety of Sirius without assistance.

Brandon observed the A.I. as it processed all the information of the Zoner Public Archives. As it appeared to return to normal he responded, "I could use another vessel besides the Aurora in my surveys. I'd need to know more about your vessel, and it probably would need an upgraded sensor suite to be compatible with my own array.". He paused, stroking his chin thoughtfully, before continuing. "Tell you what, if indeed your vessel needs an upgraded sensor array, and I suspect it does. I will finance an upgrade, on a few conditions." he moved to a terminal next to the A.I. and opened several programs, typing out a document. "Of course you'll be paid like any member of the crew. And your pay will be deducted the cost of the upgrade at a fair rate as well." he continued to type for a few moments, ignoring most of what was around him, before continuing, "This does hinge on your agreement."

The Artificial Life Form quickly analyzes the information Dr. Wright presented. This could provide the perfect opportunity to explore and fulfill a scientific pursuit.
