So, we all know how quiet the universe went, when IDs began to restrict ships to certain ZoIs like the Omicrons or Omegas. Well I'd like to propose for discussion adding a specific line allowing the Resheph Recon Cruiser free reign like all other Order snubs/gunships.
So I'd like to sort of propose/discuss letting it free. It's more roleplay oriented then most other caps, and it's not exactly this godly beast of destruction for most people who aren't the Capgods. They are excellent roleplay platforms, and should be given the chance to be used as that.
Furthermore...looking at the ID, it also lacks the allowance to enter Tau 23, 29, and 31. It badly limits our reach in the Taus, not to mention indies cannot even reach the place with the current layout.
NOTE: This is solely my idea and not in any way endorsed by Omicron and Order Overwatch at the time of this posting. This is me wanting to incite discussion of the pros and cons of allowing any Resheph SPECIFICALLY to be given free reign on the indie Order ID, pending any action decided after the fact.
Res has 3 CMs, light cruiser shape, light cruiser turnrate and a med core. It's far from being not pvp-capable (I really want to get one myself ). Order ID itself is already really good outside of the Omicrons, I don't think they need to have cruisers roaming about too.
And surely the same sort of RP you desire can be done in something like a bustard/transport/corvo/gunboat?
Also would not be logical for Order to start deploying capital assets en-masse outside of the Omicrons?

Not everyone is going to use it right...but I know it's size and the tactics given makes it good, but even then. It's not faster than any battlecruiser, so I doubt it can stand long. Plus when the Order IF restriction was announced a lot of people voiced their opposition of restricting the Resheph, and a lot of Resh fliers kind of stopped. Instead it's all about the Geb :/ but anywas.
Is it good? Sure, especially in competent hands. But do we have to ruin RP because some people might misuse it?

Whilst that is a good point, Order ID is an excellent PvP ID. It's a Sirius wide both terrorist and counter-terrorist ID. You can pretty much shoot anything. I think an allowance like this would just be too obvious and too rewarding of a PvP tool.
Isn't the current order indie ID working like the intelligence factions, allowing cruisers and whatnot but restricting them to self defence outside of their zoi? If so, a Reseph can still be flown in the Taus and whatever, but it can only do... recon, and defence of forwards teams.

As I said above yes it's good, but so is a lot of ships with free reign. Plus...the entire point of the damn ship is its RECONNAISSANCE. Why should we waste materials on a Bustard when we have something MADE for what we are wanting?
Bustard? Too much materials. Transport? Can't survive in many areas. Corvo? Sure, that's now an option by why are we forced to go outside our capline when it literally says RECON CRUISER.
Gunboat? Sure we use that. But it says RECON. CRUISER.
If you want it solely for PVP, you should just leave it in the Omicrons and let the real roleplayers free.

So we have to ruin a ships predetermined role because people can't be roleplay? Someone call Dudsty's grandma.
HERE. Add a line "can only engage in self defense in systems that posess a jumpgate" ensuring only Order| ID ships can engage on whim.

The question should be then... "Why do the Order have a cruiser themed for recon?"
Since it can't recon.
And you guys say it's not geared towards a specialized recon/RP purpose, but can be quite a deadly one alone too. The Order lacks a normal cruiser/destroyer class as a replacement in the case of the recon cruiser getting re-purposed.
The way I see it, the Order would need either another cap to fill a normal role, or the recon cruiser stays the way it is. Maybe they need to change the lore behind it too.
