I was thinking about what to say about it.
This is as close as it gets to what I wanted to say.
Furthermore, I would like to add that "closed rp worlds" are a sign of quality. But of course they restrict some, and we will likely lose a few players, also good roleplayers, who are just a lot into the furry-stuff.
However, I will note something here, that people shouldnt kill their characters because of this decision, it simply means change a single jpeg image to a human picture. As much as I hate to say it, even if it "is a game" Its a game we need to respect the rules of, and the rules of said game say that anthropomorphic animals donte exist, dont talk, and dont fly ships...
Seriously I don't want people to feel hurt, its not like there arent already a million other outlets of roleplay for furries outside of Disco.
I will probably take many nice labels and many nice words will be said towards me in OFL chat again, but I don´t really care...
So, just...wow. From all problems Discovery has...admins are discussing and handling this. Just...wow.
There is pile of weeks old unhandled requests from huge number of factions according to FSRs. Not to mention lot of other stuff. But no, admins are spending their time on this. It proved once again that the most important on forums is not to be reasonable or being able to point out real problems, but to be loud enough and pretend your issue is real trouble no matter what.
But hey, I´m happy that we finally solved this really huge problem which Discovery had (which was related to two or three people) and now we can play happily ever after...
By the way, it´s funny to see that hamsters piloting spaceships and "RPing" ingame, not to mention cats, what both we had in the past (actually I´m not sure if some of those don´t still exist), are still allowed and fine. Because those have place and fit Freelancer universe, right?

My understanding is that Primus monkeys were some sort of Easter egg included in vanilla Freelancer. I may be mistaken about that. But yes, they are not part of the Disco universe.
Ok but keep in mind that the Robots were also an easter egg on the other planet - Gammu, in the same system but you people decided to keep the robots. Now known as Artificial Intelligence.
People playing anthropomorphic animals destroys my suspension of disbelief, and ruins my fun. The same goes for half a dozen other people I've spoken to in the past 30 minutes.

They have no place in the RP environment of Disco. They will be removed if they are found in Transmission Bars or other areas of Role Play threads.
Please note: This is not a time to pile on those that are known to play Furries. They get persecuted enough and we will not tolerate any abuse that comes their way.
This is -WRONG-
On so many levels this is wrong.
I respectfully request the full meaning behind this decision onto this act. Because where I am standing. There are so many other things the admin team can act against and ban. Not this. Not. This.
For 7 years I have been a member of Discovery. For 7 years I have worked hard to earn the trust and respect of the community with my characters and I have even gone as far as to basically 180 on several of them, for the community.

Are you guys on the Admin team telling me, that all the years from starting to this point, my hard work, the people who have trolled me so very much and I have withstanded, to the point of utter hatred against me just, and only just, cause of my characters, that the team has decided to basically say "You should've just left if you didn't want to deal with it"
This is an act of discrimination regardless. Some may laugh at that. To me, it means something.
Quote:Discrimination: The practice of unfairly treating a person or group of people differently from other people or groups of people.
There are more important things the entire Admin team could've been doing instead of this. So. Many. Things.

I feel that I am honestly getting the highest amount of persecution with this action Garret. I am virtually the last of, only 2 players in the -entire- community here that RP as this. Get this right. Two. Dos. Deux. Duo. Toris. And myself. With this action Toris is gone which leaves me. And I am going to fight this action Garret.
If I am going to be banned just for the action of role playing as an Anthromorphic, we honestly need to look more into depths of the Admin team then.

May I point out the approving reactions of the individuals doing so are known to be trolls in game and on the forums, act heavily biased in several aspects of their factions. And do whatever they can to just have it 'their way or no way'.
I do pray this is overturned. Because in truth. I refuse to follow this after building so much to help the community. To help better it even against all odds. To earn the trust and respect of those in the community. You might as well just ban -all- creativity if you do this.
This, I'm all for it, but what of the people with well developed characters and quite a history to them. Will they Inevitably need to be replaced without question?
