An eventful first outing as the new Chief of Police.
First, I linked up with elements of the Navy's 5th Fleet, namely Max Fox, James Raynor, and Jack O'Neill. From there, we conducted a patrol of the New York System, and we came upon a Pirate Broadsword by the name of Tiki. I pursued him into the debris field behind Manhattan, where I finally managed to disrupt him and get a comprehensive scan of his craft. Elements from the 5th Fleet linked up with me shortly afterwards, although not before he gave me some lip. I hit him with a fine and escorted him outside of Liberty, while he said some prettyquestionable things.
I then linked up with Deputy Chief Patricia Lyons, and we proceeded to maintain a picket at Rio Grande in case Tiki decided to come back. A Cryer transport hauling synthetic marijuana came screaming through, with some battle damage, and shouted about raiders in the Kepler system. Once we got there, we didn't find anything, so we'll shelve this one for now.
We got back to Manhattan and picked up Warner Breyman, and found a Miner carrying some illegal commodities named Frank.Morris. He looked new around these parts, so I told him to drop what little contraband he was carrying and let him off with a warning. The units were dropped off at the evidence locker on Planet Manhattan.
Lyons docked on Manhattan, and I proceeded to take Breyman to West Point, where a quick cloak disruption revealed the presence of a suspiciously Nomadic Roc bomber named Witch Hunter, as well as a Rheinland Gunboat named RNC Nestor. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt as to their intentions, but the bomber opened fire on Mephistoles and we were forced to defend. Additionally, two Nomad lifeforms were present, a small one named Nu'Gal and a bigger one named Takkar. With the help of Mephistoles and an LSF gunship with the designation Menwith Hill, we were able to dispatch the gunboat and it's supporting forces. Unfortunately, some civilians were caught in the crossfire.
My patrol ended here. Just another exciting day in Liberty, I suppose.

Another day, another patrol.
I linked up with Officer Lyons and conducted a basic patrol of Liberty and it's surrounding systems. Lyons reported that a Hellfire Legionnaire named Kappa Hopkins had been harassing her for most of the day, and their interaction escalated into a fight that left one dead Legionnaire and another bounty claim for the Police.
Later, we encountered two injured Nomad lifeforms at Fort Bush, who proceeded to fire at us when we got in range. Normally, we'd leave it to the Navy, but our lives were in immediate or present danger and we engaged. Lyons went for NikNomand, while I went for the other one, which was broadcasting the name NEXUSFILIN for some reason. It went down after a brief chase and we went home.
I then responded to a Priority One call from Beaumont Base, and found several Unioners sitting near the base, including a Pirate Cruiser designated FV Walpurgisnacht. I was then joined by a Navy Dread, LNS California, and a Police bomber who said some pretty questionable things named Upholder. The battle then erupted, with the three of us against Sarah Keiser, Gabriel Vikers, Emily Heuser, and a Legionnaire who hopped in on the side of the Unioners named Iron Hammer. Later on, the LSF Battlecruiser Willow Grove arrived to help dispatch the Hel, and eventually the cruiser went down.
We dispatched all of the snubcraft with no losses to our side. Vikers and Heuser were dispatched with well-aimed SNACs from Upholder, while Keiser was disabled by a series of main battery hits from Willow Grove. Iron Hammer was able to escape due to the arrival of a jumpdrive-equipped Outcast Sarissa named Soul's Reign. In the fight against it, we lost the California but were still able to dispatch the battleship.
I undocked from Trenton and met up with Chief Wright and two other officers (of which I deeply apologize as I cannot remember their names). We proceeded to the Pennsylvania system, where we were told of a ship, callsign 'Frank.Morris', who was hauling some unusual cargo.
Chief Wright and I proceeded towards the Junker depot at Allentown, where we caught the ship, as well as his friends. Since they hadn't committed anything other than the contraband haul, at least as much as we had to go on, Chief Wright confiscated the cargo and issued a million dollar fine. After that, we proceeded to Erie to dump the contraband off.

Another day, another dollar.
Today, I undocked from Fort Bush and almost immediately found a Rogue Gunboat named Mono. With elements of the LSF, Upholder, and two Bounty Hunters at my side, we were able to convince him to surrender, although judging by his attitude, he wasn't intent on engaging us anyways. Unsurprisingly, I managed to talk him into ejecting so that we could take him into custody, and he seemed pretty compliant and comfortable with his situation. His ship was then summarily dismantled by the Menwith Hill, so I have called for a team to come clean up the remaining scrap for his eventual reimbursement.
We landed without issue, and the Captain is currently detained on Manhattan and awaiting processing.
My first solo flight ended up a bit more eventful than I imagined. After getting all of my equipment ready and doing the necessary pre-flight checks, I flew my way over to New York to begin my patrol. This was also the best time to test out the TLAGSNET uplink on my ship, but it seemed that most residents were enjoying their sleep cycle at the time.
Or so I thought, until I got to Manhattan high orbit. There in broad starlight, a few clicks off the main patrol areas sat a large nomad form, picking off local defenders like they were plushie toys.
The morning routine was very slow, so I was already online on the T-S-3 protocol comms, and luckily an LSF agent was present in order to scramble a team to take the creature down.
After making sure that there were no civilians in the system, I approached the creature and remained in cruise in order to be ready to prevent it from fleeing, and I also got a few readings regarding contents of its stomach, or whatever they have.
The nomadic entity only got as far as the other side of Manhattan by the time the LSF assistance arrived and they made very short work of the thing.
My ship suffered no damage in this encounter and the items recovered from the area were confiscated by the LSF.
-Append-
I continued my patrol by going to the Pennsylvania System in order to make sure everything was alright there. Nothing was really out of place - only a few small miners and a secondary wing Universal Shipping liner ferrying the goods. I was about to clock in until I encountered a Freelancer by the name of Starwazer.
Seeing as though the ship was in direct violation of 3.3 regarding the use of transport vessels, the freelancer was quickly asked to leave - I directed him towards Bretonia. Sadly, instead the individual decided to deviate from the course assigned to them and fled to Texas, where - upon a small argument broke out and their ship fell apart.
The pod was delivered to Sugarland, hopefully that will allow the fellow to cool off a bit.
That concludes my report.

This report sums up the more notable moments for the last two days. It started out very nicely with the moment I undocked my ship and connected to the TLAGSNET network. A ship by the name of...heh, get this - "Slave Express" had reached planet Pittsburgh. Needless to say, I met him at Fort Bush.
Oddly enough, the captain of the vessel did not even try to run and instantly ejected the personnel pods in space as well as paid the fine of 5 000 000$ credits for participating in Slavery as well as flying an illegal ship in Liberty. My demands thus sated, they took their course into the scrap field behind Manhattan, because of course they did.
The people found on board were then picked up by the H|-LNS-Philadelphia, after which I escorted the ship to the nearest planet to accept them.
My later visit to the Pennsylvania system was accompanied by Mrs Lyons. New York was quiet at that time, so we figured out that babysitting the rookie miners was a good choice.
A few more encounters like that and we finally caught something a lot more tasty on the TLAGSNET - a ship by the name of "Helltrain" coming from Kusari with a shipment of Artifacts. We split up and caught the ship in the field behind Planet Manhattan and it was dealt with - sadly I lack the guncam shots for that one.
He was not the only one, as a Cardamine transport by the name of "Mr.LeoPs" was inbound to Liberty from Bretonia. I contacted our SWAT team to intercept it, which we did in the Colorado System after they took a detour through Ontario. Unsurprisingly the perp tried to seek shelter on the Pueblo Station, but within moments they found their docking rights revoked.
The captain of the transport tried to perform an unsuccessful cloaking, upon which they were swiftly disabled and their cargo retrieved for laboratory analysis.
That concludes my report.

Guten Tag,
I am hereby submiting my first patrol report for the LPI. Once I got my official ship, I set out to patrol the New York system. The patrol was uneventfull at first. At the Norfolk Shipyard I ran into officer Moe Knox and a couple of Liberty Navy officers.
After some time we were notified of an Oracle vessel heading to New York. The ship was intercepted at the New York-Colorado jump gate. It was ordered to turn back and I was ordered to escort it out of Liberty space. However, as I jumped into the system, the Oracle had already engaged it's cloacking device and disappeared from the scanners. I did a quick run around the lanes but he was nowhere to be found.
I went back to New York to resume my patrol. Sometime later, the ship was once again spotted heading into the badlands from West Point. It was then intercepted by officer Knox and an LN officer. I arrived to assist but they were already on top of him. The ship was destroyed by officer Knox after a short fight.
Firstly, I want to thank the board for sponsoring this exchange programme. I'm sure I'll have an invaluable set of experiences to bring back to the Territorial Police when I go home. Until then, I'm looking forwards to seeing more of how things work down here in Liberty.
Speaking of which, I have some concerns about a particular conversation I heard a couple of nights ago while on duty. One Dave Moose of some Naval affiliation or another has some interesting ideas about one of the local terrorist groups. It wasn't RO Woods' or my job to chase the Legionnaire floating around the naval academy off, but it is his. He seemed more concerned with sympathising with him, though, rather than simply doing his job.
On one hand, it's not really my place to pry with something like that. On the other, I feel obliged to at least notify someone about this. If a Naval Forces officer was talking about the Dragons like that back home, they'd probably wind up discharged or far worse. It's my professional opinion that someone in his command structure should at least have a strongly-worded chat with him, if nothing else.
Other than that, I don't have much to report other than a healthy dose of struggling to acclimatise. There's an awful lot of room in the Liberator compared to the Wyrm. I suppose that's Sunbucks' fault, right? Either way, it's nice that my knees aren't meant to act as crumple zones any more if I crash into something.
Well, when I'm not busy being drafted in as support against pirates, terrorists, and other such types who are super super dangerous to a lone Liberator, I'm more than happy to get engaged with some actual policing. I've always wondered if the local civilians find us more approachable than our Naval counterparts. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, since I know for a fact that things are like that up north in Kusari.
One way or another, I got an anonymous (or, well, anonymous other than the comm signature) tipoff about an incoming Cardamine convoy from the direction of the Barrier pass. Naturally, I treated the information with the healthy skepticism it deserved - you can never be sure exactly who or what is filling your cockpit with those urgent 'incoming message' beeps - but no sooner had the guy told me about the incoming two-man convoy than the TLAGSNET system got tripped by the first of the two jumping into our space. Normally, I don't have the time to overload my Libby's battery pack by requesting a detailed scan-packet of every ship that passes through, but in the interests of confirming the tipoff, I thought I'd give it a go.
Long story short, I intercepted both transports as they were making the transit into New York, and they managed to get a slight head start down the lane to West Point as my Liberator struggled to reengage the jump vortex. Luckily, though, I was able to catch up to the pair as they exited back into normal space at the West Point junction, and managed to disable their docking computers shortly before they split up. I myself dealt with the arrest (and eventual destruction) of the uncooperative Silver.Rush, and Officer Turrets on the LPI-FCI-Butner.Low scrambled to intercept the other. After a long and arduous chase, the other smuggler (by the name of Asteroid.Blues) was corralled into Colorado while trying to scramble towards Rochester, and was eventually destroyed as well.
ID: Patricia Lyons [DC] Encryption: Standard Date of Receiving: 5/9/823 A.S. I was just going to leave the office when I was getting a call in. Apparently the LSA needed a transport to pick up something but they kept quiet what it was. So I send the Kansas over to check and they revealed it to be a cargo hold full of Sorted Artifacts. They have been taken to Manhattan for safe storage and treatment.
Got the bonus for handing over Artifacts to the government too althought they said some vanished. But that is none of my fault. If they call for that stuff only they can call whenever they want and I am not in the office.

[09.05.2016 20:06:32] Vervain|LSA: He tried to escape and dock on Planet Manhattan.
[09.05.2016 20:06:47] LPI-ADX-Kansas: We will put that stuff for safe processing down at Manhattan if thats okay for you?
[09.05.2016 20:06:58] Vervain|LSA: That's why I called you.
[09.05.2016 20:07:05] LPI-ADX-Kansas: Right right.
[09.05.2016 20:07:06] Vervain|LSA: Thank you for your swift response.
