Filming and Cinema have no borders and no limits.
Shall the UK leaves the EU and nothing seriously will happen to this industry ... it will continue in a way or another.
The only thing i expect is that the UK won't be the largest 5th economy on earth and 2nd largest in Europe after Germany.
Good luck for all British citizens with your decision.
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
"If Britain votes to leave the European Union in Thursday's referendum, it may be more difficult to film HBO's smash hit series.
That's because Northern Ireland provides the backdrop for many of the show's most dramatic scenes, including the Battle of the Bastards from last week's episode, and the EU helps subsidise the cost of production.
Should the UK leave the EU, those funds would potentially dry up.
According to Foreign Policy, the European Regional Development Fund contributes to the cost of filming the big budget series on location in Europe.
Those locations include Spain, Croatia and Malta in addition to Northern Ireland, where scenes from Winterfell and other parts of the North are shot.
In the event of Brexit, the fund, which is designed to boost the European economy, would be unlikely to continue to foot a portion of the bill for filming there."
tosh!!
but anyway no problem article 50 of the lisbon treaty states that it could take upto 2 years to create and finalise trade deals, plenty of timel it would of been finished by then
It will take more than 2 years for U.K to separate from the EU, they will have plenty of time to finish that, also, the could just change location for filming those scenes. I am pretty sure Scotland doesn't have such a unique terrain that simply can't be replaced.
And good luck U.K, I really hope Scotland and Ireland don't try again to break from the U.K.
I don’t really want this to turn into any political thread, but my views are, EVERY country should be managed, run, and controlled by their OWN government, make 100% their own laws and regulations, opens their own trade deals, everyone can get on and work together by themselves, makes a happy world
There endeth my speech on it all, let not try to get into an in-depth political debate
