This.. isn't really going to make the situation any better, but make the community more disinterested in a stagnant, conflicted mod... Way too extreme?
You could've just continued developing, but held back on actually implementing the changes until the admins sort their stuff through. I mean, they already told they're discussing what to do and realize the backlash.
I can't imagine developers going "fuck this, I'm done until you revert this" for any game having a positive effect on the situation... :|
Saying: "Active players cannot be banned because they create activity" is also totally wrong.
Just saying "The banned need to be unbanned because the damage was too large" is a total no go.
It would just say: If you are banned, make a huge mess and walk free.
What is needed:
> Careful and professional re-evaluation to see at which point the "target definitions" went wrong.
> Correction of those punishments that were undeserved.
> Personal consequences to keep this from happening in the future
"Too much damage! Unban!" is not the way to go.
What the community wants imo is action, but not random harsh secretive action, but well-defined, well-targetted, understandable action that at least a majority of players can get behind.

So ban people, because "it's a hard decision that we made" is right?
So just watching half of the served being pissed off, some other people because quit and not doing anything about it is right?
So just watching server falling under DDoS, 30-50 people online at Friday evening and again not doing anything about is right?
I understand your point, but I see priorities a little bit different it's seems.

Taking one weak point and ignoring everything else is a very nice way to make a discussion.
edit: I actually log disco yesterday and today. I make the faction to log as well. When we coming to NY(!) in a front of hattan as unlawfuls and have to wait about 15 minutes for a fight (at the evening, yeah)... You know. Concerning? Concerning.
Actually, it means I'm willing to discuss the first two points. The admin team is discussing them as we speak. However, no one is willing to be bullied into changing anything because of a DDoS. That does not even deserve consideration.

I agree that DDoS is the thing that not suppose to influence the decision, I've pointed the things that harm the server at the moment. I do not taking sides and actually NOT even blaming admins, I just want server and the community and be healthy and alive. This is some desire that we share and I hope that we will do everything to make it so.
Shut down the ooRP, OOC sections of this forum. It's quite obvious that it does only harm the mod currently. I would be interested to see counter of ooRP posts compared to RP posts.

Fair point. I'm all for rational discussion. I will oppose anything that leads away from rational discussion on these issues.

As easy as that would make our lives right now, I still think people deserve to have their opinions heard. I realize that some of those opinions are not constructive, but silencing them will only make this worse.
