The event for this Sunday is almost set up properly on my end of things. However. There is the matter of how much HP the objects should be assigned that everyone needs to destroy.
Code:
10 human caps
42 human snubs
0 nomad caps (???? Fine. Defense platforms it is)
29 nomad snubs
(Preliminary numbers, was counted a few days ago. Probably has changed a tad bit)
I asked Haste a while ago what average DPS he would consider most fighters and bombers.
"Let's just say 10k for a fighter, 17k for a bomber."
I literally know very little about PvP, I have no idea how accurate the numbers would be.
The questions I have remaining are "How many defense platforms should there be?" and "How much HP should these objects have"
Asking the critics seems to be my safe bet.
What do you guys think would be proper to keep things fair?
(Sorry about the formatting of this thread, it's a copy/paste from the Skype Help Channel)
I suggest to give the Capital targets 2.5 times the hull point of the tankiest cap ingame times 10 (because it's ten caps).
Capital target: Capital ships x hitpoints of the Marduk/Ish'tar x 2.5
Defense Plattforms: Capital ships x hitpoints of the Marduk/Ish'tar
So the battle lasts a bit longer. Aside from the hitpoints, NPCs and bombers will distract the caps hopefully enough. If not, maybe one or two respawns?
I think the Snub targets should have the hitpoints like the Nomad Generator. Since the things aren't that ridiculously defended like the generator, they should be downed fairly fast with all those bombers around.
The cap targets seem a bit weak to me. 9 million hitpoints is only about as much as a CAU 8 turtle with nanobots. A turtle might seem heavily armoured, but it falls fast to 10 caps.
