That thing about interaction is interesting as well. I mean, it could be intriguing to think other players are online with but so very very far away, doing their own thing. Perhaps all will meet to a point, but truthfully, No Man's Sky has still many things that were not fully shared by Murray. I bet on that. The thing also with the lack of people being around, will be compensated with the other things you will be exposed.
But imagine the first time if you will encounter a planet that was visited by someone and he left a message or a mark on it. Imagine that would be even more amazing instead of seeing people doing crap around planets. Makes other players almost alien.
I've heard and seen Sirius Online on steam, it was interesting but.. the popularity of it might be low I guess

What did you expect, honestly. They kept toting the ''QUAZILION PLANETS LOL'' pipe for years. That was literally the only thing they kept going on about. So now you got your quazillion planets.

I was on board the hype train until I learned that the developer only made 2 games previously, and both of those had a heavy "xbox live indie arcade" feel to them. That's when I backed away slowly.
