Omicron Lost... somehow, I feel very comfortable in this system. Nobody around. Just us. Even knowing the unstable jump hole from Omicron Major leads to Lost, I feel much safer here than anywhere else. I can tell why that's the case. Maybe because of the sheer distance to the rest of Sirius.
Minutes ago, even here the open transmission of Auxesia reached us. They destroyed the Lightseeker, killing Tatsori and her crew... somehow, that bothers me more than it should. I really wonder if at least Reena will... respawn, as it seemed it was still part of the mindshare. Tatsori was so nice the last time I met her. So patient with me when I asked her all those questions about the Oracles and the K'hara. I feel bad for their deaths. And I'm afraid Raven is more and more into a monster, unable to differ between good and evil.
It was some days ago, when I was visiting Sombra on Curacao, as she did her first successful trade runs with the Catport, her new Zoner Whale. She transfered her first payment to me, asking me for a small celebration, so I went over to her, trying to avoid her coming close to me for good reasons, as she was drunk again, and she is very straight. Okay, Maren ment she liked her, but she didn't spend much time with her, so... anyway. People panicked on the surface, shouting as they saw something in the sky. It was the Ish'tar. Close to Curacao...
We had to interrupt the little party, I went over to my Montante, while Thallia and Maren already encountered the Ish'tar, as well as the Eidolon Wraith and the Lightseeker. Tatsori didn't speak to us that day, but Ish'tar did.
It wanted to move unchained, ignoring all the ridiculous territorial laws of the humans. The HMS Sovereign of Bretonia arrived, wanted to fine the Ish'tar, and of course it ignored the threat, as the nomads don't have Sirian Credits. I think the Admiral just wanted to stay with the etiquette. What an asshole. He ignored not only Maren, as she offered him to pay for the Ish'tar, but also me, the Lightseeker and the Ish'tar itself when we tried to convince him to not attack Ish'tar. To be honest, I'm unsure why I intervened. I fought the Ish'tar once in Omicron Delta, saw her power, her long range weaponry... I still wonder how we were able to defeat it that time, as well as the Inanna, but the Apahanta managed it somehow to stay alive.
A coward Libertonian Dreadnought, a Freelancer Storta and the Sovereign attacked the Ish'tar, after threatening it multiple times, and then even Auxesia joined, fighting it. It was cruel, and even Lightseeker's attempts to help Ish'tar didn't make a difference. After that, I insulted all of them, angry about how they could be that hostile to an entity that just existed in their space. Raven asked me why I'm pro-K'hara all of a sudden, and I just couldn't tell her. I wouldn't consider myself as pro-K'hara. I still hate them, and seeing Ish'tar so close to Cortez brought back some horrible memories about the day my parents died to them. It was just another sad day, and thinking about Ish'tar still bring mixed feelings.
Just a few days before the Ish'tar in Cortez, I had an interesting talk with Astarte, another K'hara that showed up in Cortez. I told it to leave the system, and it did, however, I had some questions about it appearing so close to my homeworld, as I still wonder why they do that. Why Curacao!? Why my home... so I followed Astarte.
It told me some things I won't forget. About the Maltese... about Ish'tar... about why the Morphs come to Sirius. It said they get send to us to learn hatred, and it said nothing will change unless we stop giving the first shot. It also said it had the same conversation with Joshua Hunt. I'll upload the dialogue here, however, I'll add what it said, as far as I remember.
[26.07.2016 22:36:14] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: No, not in Cortez. You better leave this place at once.
[26.07.2016 22:36:49] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Why? Are you here to hunt me as well?" It speaks in a perfectly lucid, androgynous voice.}
[26.07.2016 22:37:15] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I'm not hunting anyone.
[26.07.2016 22:37:29] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: But you're not welcome in this system.
[26.07.2016 22:37:35] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Leave it, please.
[26.07.2016 22:37:49] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: We already had enough trouble with K'hara in here.
[26.07.2016 22:37:52] K'Hara|Astarte: {"You own these voids?" it asks unsurely.}
[26.07.2016 22:38:14] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: This is my homeworld.
[26.07.2016 22:38:27] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: This is my home void, so to say.
[26.07.2016 22:38:42] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Yours is far away from here. You don't belong here but there.
[26.07.2016 22:38:52] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You don't want me in your home void as well.
[26.07.2016 22:38:57] K'Hara|Astarte: {It is silent for a while. "If I move, we just swap the hunting ground."}
[26.07.2016 22:39:23] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Your logic is sound, though. Very well."}
[26.07.2016 22:39:26] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Hunting ground? Who is the hunter? You or the humans?
[26.07.2016 22:40:07] K'Hara|Astarte: *It begins to head into the direction of the Coronado system. It's husk is surrounded by energized Azurite Gas*
[26.07.2016 22:41:02] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Is that not obvious?}
[26.07.2016 22:41:06] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Wrong direction. That's not the way to the Omicrons.
[26.07.2016 22:41:53] K'Hara|Astarte: {"It actually is. We seek Ishmael, human."}
[26.07.2016 22:42:13] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: What is Ishmael?
[26.07.2016 22:42:46] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Malta. The ones we safeguard."}
[26.07.2016 22:43:09] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Right, the guys with the orange blood.
[26.07.2016 22:43:50] K'Hara|Astarte: {A ghostly laugh is heard. "That's amusing. And who are you?"}
[26.07.2016 22:44:29] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Me? I'm just a human. A guard, so to say. A guard of balance.
[26.07.2016 22:44:51] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I don't hunt you, but if you hunt us, I'll make sure you regret it.
[26.07.2016 22:45:25] K'Hara|Astarte: {"A fancy title, I would say. Don't you know that 'Morphs' don't hunt?"}
[26.07.2016 22:45:46] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You don't need to hunt to cause trouble. I know that very well.
[26.07.2016 22:46:22] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Hmm, so you'd rather I were dead? I think Hunt was right."}
[26.07.2016 22:46:53] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: That's not what I said. I just prefer you outside this space. Sirius is big enough for both our races.
[26.07.2016 22:47:03] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: However, what Hunt?
[26.07.2016 22:47:23] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: And what are you doing here, if not that?
[26.07.2016 22:47:32] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Aside from seeking Ishmael.
[26.07.2016 22:47:46] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Wait, you seek the Maltese in this area, for what?
[26.07.2016 22:47:50] K'Hara|Astarte: {"A curious human. His companion called him Hunt, although he also is called Joshua. Confusing.}
[26.07.2016 22:47:51] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: To infect them?
[26.07.2016 22:48:35] K'Hara|Astarte: {"No, I'm here doing what Hunt thinks children like me exist for."}
[26.07.2016 22:49:12] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: And what is that?
[26.07.2016 22:49:32] K'Hara|Astarte: {In a somewhat belittling tone, it adds. "Infection, as you call it, isn't done by spaceborne voidlings."}
[26.07.2016 22:50:28] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Come on. Just tell me. What are you doing? Ishmael. Hunt. Morphs in human territory. What's the connection?
[26.07.2016 22:50:44] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Do you invite the Maltese to come to your space?
[26.07.2016 22:51:06] K'Hara|Astarte: {"We are thrown into existence blindly. We know nothing and must learn to live."}
[26.07.2016 22:51:37] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You seem to know much more than nothing. You speak like a human to me. Others don't do that.
[26.07.2016 22:52:13] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Oh, so you noticed?" Another ghostly laugh. "You didn't think all of us were incapable to do so, right?"}
[26.07.2016 22:52:45] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I have some experiences with your kind.
[26.07.2016 22:52:56] K'Hara|Astarte: {"At least /I/ can. Ishtar smiles upon me and grants me awareness."}
[26.07.2016 22:53:17] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: The Ish'tar?
[26.07.2016 22:53:26] K'Hara|Astarte: {"You know another?"}
[26.07.2016 22:53:48] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Sassy nomad.
[26.07.2016 22:53:57] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Thank you."}
[26.07.2016 22:54:49] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: So, you're taking the Tau-route.
[26.07.2016 22:55:03] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I won't hinder you. But don't come back to Cortez.
[26.07.2016 22:55:09] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Is that what you call it? Yes, it's the quickest way."}
[26.07.2016 22:55:34] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Otherwise, the two of us get a problem with each other.
[26.07.2016 22:55:35] K'Hara|Astarte: {"You wouldn't even notice if I were. What makes you so possessive of that place?"}
[26.07.2016 22:55:56] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: The same thing that makes you so possessive of your homeworld.
[26.07.2016 22:56:17] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Eh, I don't care what you do in the Omicrons."}
[26.07.2016 22:57:04] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You maybe not, but Ishtar does.
[26.07.2016 22:57:17] K'Hara|Astarte: {"No. Ishtar wants but one thing."}
[26.07.2016 22:57:30] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: And that is?
[26.07.2016 22:58:22] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Ishtar is too intelligent to fight. It bores her. Ishtar wants to see humanity rise over its shortcomings."}
[26.07.2016 22:59:00] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You mean, it wants to see how mankind destroys itself?
[26.07.2016 22:59:41] K'Hara|Astarte: {"No. That is what happens if humanity doesn't rise over its shortcomings. Ishtar implores you to relinquish your-
[26.07.2016 22:59:51] K'Hara|Astarte: pugnacious nature."}
[26.07.2016 23:00:23] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: So Ishtar wants us to become one with the K'hara?
[26.07.2016 23:01:04] K'Hara|Astarte: {"If that is the chosen outcome. There are many ways to be non self-destructive, you know."}
[26.07.2016 23:01:45] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: But back to the first question: What is it Hunt thinks you do?
[26.07.2016 23:02:31] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Learning to hate. My form forces me to roam, to observe, and those I must observe hunt me."}
[26.07.2016 23:03:03] "Sternenstunde": *For a moment, he remains silent.*
[26.07.2016 23:03:22] K'Hara|Astarte: {"It is the curse of all Nomads, I now realized. We are killed over and over and over again until we adapt."}
[26.07.2016 23:04:07] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: So, you enter the human territories to learn to hate.
[26.07.2016 23:04:09] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Ishtar told you all the way to stop the war of our species."}
[26.07.2016 23:04:39] K'Hara|Astarte: {"I can't help it. My form forces me to."}
[26.07.2016 23:05:12] K'Hara|Astarte: {"To hate, we learn from you, though."}
[26.07.2016 23:05:13] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: What if I come to the Omicrons, to the nomad homeworlds, and mirror that?
[26.07.2016 23:05:34] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Your kind isn't any better.
[26.07.2016 23:05:37] K'Hara|Astarte: {"I wouldn't care, but I don't hate."}
[26.07.2016 23:05:51] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: That will change, I guess?
[26.07.2016 23:06:25] K'Hara|Astarte: {"It depends entirely on you. I shall remember you, though."}
[26.07.2016 23:06:57] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Then I'll see about that.
[26.07.2016 23:07:35] K'Hara|Astarte: {"In the end, it is all a choice, and regardless of how obvious it is presented..."}
[26.07.2016 23:08:13] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: And you didn't lie about what you said?
[26.07.2016 23:08:53] K'Hara|Astarte: {"You have ways to ask a second opinion, don't you?"}
[26.07.2016 23:09:07] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: What are you implying?
[26.07.2016 23:09:39] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Speak to Hunt. Speak to another lucid Nomad and ask what the purpose of Morphs is."}
[26.07.2016 23:12:20] K'Hara|Astarte: {"How do you feel?"}
[26.07.2016 23:12:44] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: There is much going on in my head right now. I have to rethink some things.
[26.07.2016 23:13:21] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Understandable. I would ask you to come with me to Malta's orbit so you can see one more thing."}
[26.07.2016 23:13:45] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I'm not welcome there. Not in this ship.
[26.07.2016 23:14:24] K'Hara|Astarte: {"I'm seeing it. Well, I guess this little hideout might have sufficed as demonstration. What did you notice?"}
[26.07.2016 23:14:44] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: The Maltese didn't attack you.
[26.07.2016 23:15:11] K'Hara|Astarte: {"A first step towards Ishtar's advice."}
[26.07.2016 23:17:45] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: So, the Outcasts are deeply connected to the nomads. I guess without really knowing it, huh?
[26.07.2016 23:18:00] K'Hara|Astarte: {"You'd be surprised how aware they are."}
[26.07.2016 23:18:20] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: So the stories about them worshipping you are true.
[26.07.2016 23:18:49] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Some do, but most don't care either way, and that's what counts. True apathy."}
[26.07.2016 23:19:52] K'Hara|Astarte: {"It is flattering to know that some think us divine, but if they understood what I just told you, things would be different."}
[26.07.2016 23:20:14] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Is that so?
[26.07.2016 23:21:18] K'Hara|Astarte: {"It's what I assume. I could tell many and they don't listen, just like they didn't listen to Ishtar."}
[26.07.2016 23:22:05] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Why Cortez? Why did you come to Cortez to learn hatred.
[26.07.2016 23:22:29] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: There are so many better places for something like you want.
[26.07.2016 23:22:46] K'Hara|Astarte: {"I hadn't been there before. And who says that I /want/ to learn?"}
[26.07.2016 23:23:11] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: What do you want?
[26.07.2016 23:23:56] K'Hara|Astarte: {"It was quiet there before you came and I feared you'd be the first to strike me down, so I'd appear again, to die again."}
[26.07.2016 23:24:34] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: To be honest, you gave me reason to hate you first.
[26.07.2016 23:24:44] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I really had a triggerfinger.
[26.07.2016 23:24:49] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Did I? Am I had ugly?"}
[26.07.2016 23:24:58] K'Hara|Astarte: //*that
[26.07.2016 23:25:21] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You were to the wrong time at the wrong place.
[26.07.2016 23:26:01] K'Hara|Astarte: {"What happened to your triggerfinger?"}
[26.07.2016 23:26:19] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: That doesn't really matter.
[26.07.2016 23:26:35] K'Hara|Astarte: {"It does, but only for you. It is well this way."}
[26.07.2016 23:27:39] K'Hara|Astarte: {"What will you do now?"}
[26.07.2016 23:28:14] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I don't know, to be honest.
[26.07.2016 23:28:25] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I'd like to speak to Ishtar myself.
[26.07.2016 23:29:07] K'Hara|Astarte: {If it had a mouth, it would smirk. "I'm sure I can fill that role at some point for you."}
[26.07.2016 23:29:32] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: What are you talking about?
[26.07.2016 23:29:56] K'Hara|Astarte: {"There will be more like Ishtar, of course."}
[26.07.2016 23:30:09] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You will become one like Ish'tar?
[26.07.2016 23:30:22] K'Hara|Astarte: {"I hope."}
[26.07.2016 23:30:34] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: You hope.
[26.07.2016 23:30:50] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Maybe people listen to me, then. Probably not, though."}
[26.07.2016 23:31:31] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: But I listen to you.
[26.07.2016 23:31:44] K'Hara|Astarte: {"You are the first. That honors you, I guess."}
[26.07.2016 23:31:56] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: There are more like me out there. You don't need to become a giant monster. They wouldn't listen to that.
[26.07.2016 23:32:51] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Is it not up to me what I become, don't you realize? We would all stay this size and talk if people listened to Ishtar!"}
[26.07.2016 23:34:08] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: What is it you want to show me?
[26.07.2016 23:34:16] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Why do I need to come to Malta?
[26.07.2016 23:34:24] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: It's a terrible place of slavery.
[26.07.2016 23:34:42] K'Hara|Astarte: {"I basically just wanted to show you how I could sit next to their ships and stations without being shot."}
[26.07.2016 23:35:01] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Thereby demonstrating that just living close is possible."}
[26.07.2016 23:37:05] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: I must be insane.
[26.07.2016 23:37:46] K'Hara|Astarte: {"That's what many would call you right now, if they saw you. Does it make it less valuable?"}
[26.07.2016 23:38:13] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: The adrenalin in my body makes it worth it.
[26.07.2016 23:38:25] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Look."}
[26.07.2016 23:39:10] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Just like any normal person. Better get some ways away from here lest you come to harm."}
[26.07.2016 23:39:36] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Right. I'm out of here.
[26.07.2016 23:39:50] "Sternenstunde": Vertiga: Good bye, nomad.
[26.07.2016 23:39:58] K'Hara|Astarte: {"Good bye, human."}
I'm confused, to be honest. I don't know whom to believe. I really want to believe that there is a possibility to live with the nomads in co-existance, like I do with Sans Valeur. I was so close to do a comm to Joshua Hunt, to tell him my story and about Sans Valeur, just to see if I can convince him to make Auxesia ignore us... I just want Maren and Nancy to live in peace, without Raven and Noah leering at us. God damnit, why is this so hard...
I had an argument with Raven after she killed Ish'tar and destroyed a Liberty Dreadnought lead by a dumb Navy Captain. For some hours, she actually had convinced me of the pure evil the nomads are, and all the doubts I had about Sans Valeur and Maren were back. We landed on Curacao and Maren entered the cockpit of the Sternenstunde, and I couldn't look at her, as I was afraid what Raven said was true... that bipolar monster. I actually begin to hate her, but there is just nothing I can do against her...
Maren looked at me, dropped herself at the wall, leaning to it, and I was just waiting for something to happen... but nothing happened, and I tried to calm down, but even that didn't happen. I walked over to her, gave her a hug, a very strong one, and in that moment I realized she was expecting me to kill her, while I expected her to infect me. It was terrible, as she was so full of fear, and yet she was okay for it to happen. She said I should make it quick, and I lost it totally. I told her to never become Unschuld again. Never. I cried right in front of her. This life is going to make me insane... I told her I couldn't even kiss her, as I was afraid an incubus could slip into my body doing so. Both of us were so afraid of each other during that hug. We love each other. It is the most evil pain I ever felt...
Thankfully, over night I got my clarity back, and I felt so sorry for what I said, even when it was the truth. In the morning, I had to punch some bags in the gym to get rid of the anger I felt about my own behavior, but mostly about Raven. Later I had another talk with Maren, telling her everything was okay and that I don't doubt her anymore. And later we talked about the exchange. So, well, it happened. Sans Valeur left Maren's body, and I got to see the incubus as it left her mouth, entering Nancy's body to cure it. Very disgusting, I was actually about to throw up. It purred like a cat, it was slimey and muscular and blue... well, I saw the shape already on the IRG equipment, when Thallia made the fake scans of Maren for Auxesia. Never sent them the documents, though... I doubt it would make a difference, as I believe Raven thinks I'm already infected. Or at least manipulated. I hate this position. I really hate it. It once thought it was a good thing to support Raven, but now, she seems to become my adversary.
To take a break from this, I wanted to take the Apahanta and take a look after the nomad installation in Omicron Delta Thallia told me about. It's giant, and I wonder why nobody found it earlier. We managed to get some samples of the precious Azurite Gas, maybe Thallia can take a look at it, as she lost her sample during that civil war in Liberty.
The Apahanta is now stationed in Omicron Lost, as I need time to think, without Maren, Nancy, Thallia or someone else being around. Well, Leon is here, and we need to take some time to think and talk about Nancy now being infected by Sans Valeur and Maren free of it. It's weird, and I should stay with Maren, now that she is weakened that much, but I can't. I just cant. I'm so sorry. I ordered the Kishiro Service Robots to do everything Maren wants and needs, and Nancy is with her, and Thallia maybe as well. I need time, and some rest... and maybe I'll take a bottle of wine now...

We returned to the girls, to Omega-49. I already imagined Maren being disappointed about me, leaving her when she needed me, but everything went well. She was a little sick for two days, but Nancy and the KSRs and Thallia took care of her, however, she really wanted me to not go out there and do risky things. To make her feel a bit better, I brought the little cat we found on Gran Canaria in the forest. Yes, we now have a cat. Mittens. Sombra was right, a cat is always a mood brightener. Mittens seems to be okay with living on the Hoffnungsschimmer and likes the crew, and I ordered a KSR to follow Mittens around, making sure it's not shitting around everywhere but on the cat toilet. Maren is in love with that cat. It was a good idea to surprise her with it.
Nancy is way better now. She can move like before the... incident. According to her, she feels okay with the situation and it seems like there are no problems with Valery. That incubus did a great job. I almost felt bad for thinking she could be bad. Almost.
Since I contacted the Bretonian Government and law enforcers, asking for shelter in Bretonia, I decided to collect as many data as possible as fresh as possible. So I took Leon and the Apahanta and we did another exploration tour to the nomad-controlled Omicrons. The day before, Maren showed me the old damaged gate in Kansas. It only supports small scrafts to use it, so we decided to come back later with another ship.
In the morning after, I took the Apahanta and we left Omega-49, heading to Omicron Minor. I wanted to see the nomad gates in Minor, both the destroyed gate to Major and the new found gate to Omicron Iota. It was interesting, as a Wilde appeared. A Rheinland Wraith called Leuchtfeuer, piloted by a guy called Frank. I'm very happy with talking to an Infected instead of a nomad, so at least I was able to record his words as well.
The Apahanta decloaks, five kilometers away from the Iota gate, where the Wilde was waiting.
[14.08.2016 13:49:08] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: ?: Oh really.
[14.08.2016 13:49:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Really.
[14.08.2016 13:49:35] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: ?: Something you need, fam?
[14.08.2016 13:50:09] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So, are we doing this the usual way or would you just admit you came from Iota? Don't worry.
[14.08.2016 13:50:19] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I'm not here to hunt your kind.
[14.08.2016 13:50:30] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: ?: I think this game is really superfluous given where we are.
[14.08.2016 13:50:37] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Right.
[14.08.2016 13:50:53] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Any preferation how I should call you?
[14.08.2016 13:51:21] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: My name is Frank. Yeah, I know, quite generic.
[14.08.2016 13:51:44] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I see. I'm Vertiga. A more unusual name, I guess.
[14.08.2016 13:52:10] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You're quite the hot topic, so no need on your end to introduce.
[14.08.2016 13:52:22] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Is that so?
[14.08.2016 13:52:31] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Uh-huh.
[14.08.2016 13:52:52] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Hm. If you don't mind, I have a question, concerning one of your gates.
[14.08.2016 13:53:10] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Only one of them? Usually people are more greedy.
[14.08.2016 13:53:23] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I won't push my luck.
[14.08.2016 13:53:35] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Promised someone to stay alive, if you know what I mean.
[14.08.2016 13:54:04] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: How nice of you. Don't see that everyday. It's almost like everyone has a deathwish these days, know what I mean?
[14.08.2016 13:54:38] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I have pretty much the idea about that. However, my question. The damaged gate in Kansas. You sure know what I mean?
[14.08.2016 13:54:46] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: *The sensors scan the Apahanta's structure*
[14.08.2016 13:55:07] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Hmm, what about it?
[14.08.2016 13:55:49] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: A friend told me it leads to a far away system and assured me it would be safe there. Even for, like, a Golanski.
[14.08.2016 13:56:00] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Could you tell me more about that system?
[14.08.2016 13:56:26] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, ain't never been there. It's where the babies come from, though.
[14.08.2016 13:56:45] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: The babies?
[14.08.2016 13:57:14] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Uh, Morphlings leave that system at times without having entered it. So, I guess they sorta pop up there.
[14.08.2016 13:57:40] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I see. As Astarte said, to learn to hate.
[14.08.2016 13:58:01] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: *He shrugs* I prefer not to think about it too much.
[14.08.2016 13:58:23] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Curious, though, that you know of that. It's actually a quite well-kept secret.
[14.08.2016 13:59:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, a friend told me about it. We explored the Auxesia-infected system. I wouldn't have found it without help.
[14.08.2016 13:59:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: There a reason why you keep approaching me, fam? Am I that gorgeous?
[14.08.2016 13:59:48] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Don't worry. I just let the ship keep moving. No reason to worry.
[14.08.2016 13:59:59] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Oh, so you're a seeker if you were led there?
[14.08.2016 14:00:35] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I'm curious, yes. It's quite difficult to me to pick a side, so to say.
[14.08.2016 14:01:20] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, I'm a simple man, you see. Not my place to talk people into stuff.
[14.08.2016 14:01:36] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I see. May I ask another question concerning you?
[14.08.2016 14:01:45] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: No, no dates.
[14.08.2016 14:01:58] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Are you a host?
[14.08.2016 14:02:21] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Straight to the big ones, right? Yeah, I am.
[14.08.2016 14:02:45] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, it's better for both of us to not to linger around here for too long.
[14.08.2016 14:03:13] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: All jump holes are monitored, Vertiga.
[14.08.2016 14:03:38] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: And did you join them willingly or did your incubus enter your body with force?
[14.08.2016 14:04:26] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: The latter. I was stationed in Omega 7, I think. Protecting some science team from Hessians.
[14.08.2016 14:05:06] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So, to this point, is the incubus controlling you or have you learned to live together?
[14.08.2016 14:05:50] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's sort of a love-hate relationship. I mean, you gotta learn to stick up to each other's shenanignans.
[14.08.2016 14:06:13] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Does Frank still have contact to his family?
[14.08.2016 14:06:42] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Frank's family is quasi-enslaved in the diamond mines of Daumann.
[14.08.2016 14:07:04] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Sad.
[14.08.2016 14:07:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, it's the world we live in, I guess. Not just the Maltese keep slaves, it seems.
[14.08.2016 14:07:51] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Right. Ishmael, as you call them, right?
[14.08.2016 14:08:04] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I believe Astarte called the Maltese that way.
[14.08.2016 14:08:14] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: That's how the more religious Maltese call Malta.
[14.08.2016 14:08:22] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Ah, I see.
[14.08.2016 14:08:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Or the patriotic ones.
[14.08.2016 14:09:15] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Hm. Well, thank you for the little chat. So the morphlings are born in that one system, good to know.
[14.08.2016 14:09:15] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You don't like them, do you?
[14.08.2016 14:09:32] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I don't like slavery.
[14.08.2016 14:09:52] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I can differ between Maltese and enslaving Maltese.
[14.08.2016 14:10:13] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Everything has a reason. They're being starved out. If they don't bring people, they'll die within a few generations.
[14.08.2016 14:10:57] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: May I ask another question? Do you, as the incubus you are, have a name?
[14.08.2016 14:11:25] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Nobody ever asked for it, so it was sort of superfluous.
[14.08.2016 14:11:48] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I see.
[14.08.2016 14:11:56] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: How about Steve?
[14.08.2016 14:12:07] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Just as generic as Frank.
[14.08.2016 14:12:10] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: *He shrugs* If you think it fits.
[14.08.2016 14:12:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: And Bob?
[14.08.2016 14:12:35] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: All those single syllables.
[14.08.2016 14:12:51] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So Bill won't do it either?
[14.08.2016 14:13:21] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Is that an attempt at humor, I wonder.
[14.08.2016 14:13:53] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Just a little bit. I'm well aware your kind has trouble with understanding humor so far. At least our humor.
[14.08.2016 14:14:29] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: *He sounds perplexed* 'Your' humor? How does our humor look like, then?
[14.08.2016 14:15:07] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, I saw Sovereign once poking the Eidolon Wraith from behind. That was quite funny.
[14.08.2016 14:15:44] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I'm afraid I don't know either.
[14.08.2016 14:16:05] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Anyway. There is one more question I'd like to ask you.
[14.08.2016 14:16:19] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, if I poked you, Frank would say that that's really fu**ing gay.
[14.08.2016 14:16:42] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I wouldn't mind it. I'm a good looking guy.
[14.08.2016 14:16:58] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Nomad touchies.
[14.08.2016 14:17:15] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: The Dyson Sphere, Frank, it has changed. The humans know that. I'd like to know what happened. You can't explain that-
[14.08.2016 14:17:20] The.Apahanta: to me, can you?
[14.08.2016 14:17:49] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It hasn't changed. It's the same sphere, just a different part of it.
[14.08.2016 14:18:12] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: But the planet is still there. Does that mean the dyson sphere has rotated?
[14.08.2016 14:18:18] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Look, I can show you something. Follow me, if you would.
[14.08.2016 14:19:08] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: You're heading to the destroyed gate that lead to Major some months ago, right?
[14.08.2016 14:19:14] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: The sphere is so massive that it attracts smaller stellar bodies. I don't know if it's another planet.
[14.08.2016 14:19:19] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Oh, so you know it?
[14.08.2016 14:19:29] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: According to the database, the Order destroyed it.
[14.08.2016 14:19:44] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Yes, was a real boom, too. We reached the bubble where the radiation leaks from the gate.
[14.08.2016 14:21:52] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Somewhere here.
[14.08.2016 14:21:55] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: For how long are you a host, Frank?
[14.08.2016 14:22:06] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Couple years.
[14.08.2016 14:22:36] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So you learned how to go on with it.
[14.08.2016 14:23:19] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I'd say it's sort of like surgery. You're antsy before it but afterwards, it wasn't so bad.
[14.08.2016 14:23:31] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I still hate needles, though.
[14.08.2016 14:23:39] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Funny.
[14.08.2016 14:24:03] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Sensor range decreased to zero.
[14.08.2016 14:24:44] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Still around, Franky?
[14.08.2016 14:25:44] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: The radiation is that intense, one can't even communicate in there.
[14.08.2016 14:26:04] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, the power source kinda leaks.
[14.08.2016 14:26:59] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Hey, say, you wouldn't allow the Apahanta to enter Omicron Major, eh? Now that it is very heavily fortified.
[14.08.2016 14:27:16] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Not up to me to decide, Vertiga.
[14.08.2016 14:27:40] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I see. I believe I'd have to ask the so called Saturnia or Ish'tar then?
[14.08.2016 14:28:07] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Saturnia on Dur Shurrikun, I'd say. Ishtar is... weird.
[14.08.2016 14:28:19] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Definitely.
[14.08.2016 14:28:30] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You're really well informed, aren't you?
[14.08.2016 14:28:40] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: However, at some time, I'd like to speak to them. One at a time, however.
[14.08.2016 14:28:56] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Then why not ask for an audience?
[14.08.2016 14:29:01] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I am, yes. I try to see both sides perspectives.
[14.08.2016 14:29:35] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, how would I do that? Just send them a video comm and say "Hey Saturnia, old fecker, have some time for me?"
[14.08.2016 14:30:04] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Maybe not that... bluntly, but sure.
[14.08.2016 14:30:25] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: You mean, they can receive neural net messages?
[14.08.2016 14:30:37] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You should, however, not waste Saturnia's time. That has never worked out well for anyone.
[14.08.2016 14:30:51] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, I guess with the help of the infected people. And I pretty much know about Altair as well.
[14.08.2016 14:31:15] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I guess Saturnia is a really busy entity, right.
[14.08.2016 14:31:20] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Vertiga... Saturnia is the closest thing to a literal god there is. If she wants to be human, she is.
[14.08.2016 14:32:02] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So is Saturnia like the Ish'tar or what do I have to image to that name?
[14.08.2016 14:32:34] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Saturnia has many forms. Ishtar, however, is unique. At the moment.
[14.08.2016 14:33:18] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: And petulant, as a friend called it.
[14.08.2016 14:33:32] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Don't we all like feisty women?
[14.08.2016 14:33:46] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Would you consider it a female entity?
[14.08.2016 14:34:32] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: No. The connotation with the female gender has been made by humans.
[14.08.2016 14:35:00] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: And here I thought the nomads would have adapt that kind of humor.
[14.08.2016 14:35:25] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It already looks like a giant phallus. Isn't that enough of a joke?
[14.08.2016 14:36:18] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Uhm, the last time I looked at mine, I didn't notice any tentacles or a spike pointing to the 'target'.
[14.08.2016 14:36:35] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Anyway. I thank you for your time, Frank, and Bob.
[14.08.2016 14:36:37] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: That would be really awkward to explain.
[14.08.2016 14:37:03] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, sure. Playing tourguide is better than being a mean alien.
[14.08.2016 14:37:25] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Your answers were very pleasant. I'll remember that.
[14.08.2016 14:37:33] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: So, do us a favour and don't bring that machine to our homes, please.
[14.08.2016 14:38:01] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I sadly can't promise that, as long as your kind infiltrates our space as well.
[14.08.2016 14:38:33] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I'd really loathe to need to fight you at some point.
[14.08.2016 14:38:39] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Just hope we don't encounter each other in the wrong situation. I really much hope we can coexist.
[14.08.2016 14:39:01] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Not as long as we're seen as source of money and technological wonders.
[14.08.2016 14:39:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: At least, not as a whole. There are pleasant surprises at times.
[14.08.2016 14:39:49] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I see... *He reminds himself of all the APM-technology around him.*
[14.08.2016 14:40:23] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: May I ask a question... one last thing before you go?
[14.08.2016 14:40:38] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Sure. I'll try to answer it as honest as possible.
[14.08.2016 14:41:45] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: How does it feel using technology obtained through exploitation. I'm honestly curious.
[14.08.2016 14:42:36] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I try to not think about it. It's not like I could just swap to another battleship, and I really need this one for
[14.08.2016 14:42:40] The.Apahanta: obvious reasons.
[14.08.2016 14:42:53] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Are they really that obvious, though?
[14.08.2016 14:43:21] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: One can't travel safely in this space without being protected by something like a battleship, if you ask me.
[14.08.2016 14:43:35] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Contrary to the nomads, I don't just regrow.
[14.08.2016 14:44:02] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: And contrary to you, I'm a very unskilled snubcraft pilot.
[14.08.2016 14:44:11] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I don't regrow either. And I guess you're right. It'll take some time until your cloaking tech matches ours.
[14.08.2016 14:44:56] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well... sooner or later.
[14.08.2016 14:45:08] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: If that was all, we would leave now.
[14.08.2016 14:45:18] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Sure, toodles.
[14.08.2016 14:45:49] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Safe skies, Frank and Bob. And, as I said, try to not encounter us in the wrong situation.
[14.08.2016 14:46:00] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Navigation, set course for Freeport 11.
[14.08.2016 14:46:13] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: If it were that simple. We'll try.
[14.08.2016 14:46:21] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Same here. The Apahanta cloaks, heading back to Freeport 11.
Those logs are speaking for themselves. 'Frank' did tell me a lot of things, and I feel bad for thinking about sharing this all with Bretonia, however, it's for good intentions, as we want to avoid nomad fights in Bretonia. I just doubt I will have success with this, but it won't stop me from trying. However, this was only the first part of the encounter. We had another encounter later that day, more or less. The Apahanta got back to Omega-49, as Maren and I wanted to visit the system beyond Kansas. I had to take Leon's Osprey MKII therefore. Terrible feeling, that vulnerability. I'll never get used to snubcraft, I guess. Am pretty happy with the Montante, now even with a Cloaking Device from Nichols in Omega-49.
Anyway, Maren took me to Kansas, and then to the unknown system. I realized we were at the edge of the galaxy, according to Maren and the navigation, and was a bit about to panic when she said the gate works only one-way.
However, she showed me the artificial jump holes, the Shrine, those weird energy pillars... I have a nice arrway of footage on all this. Maren made me promise to not show anything about this to outsiders. I'm afraid, there is a chance of me having to break the promise, however not to let the place overrun by hostile forces. The Shrine, as she said, is a place of pacifism, run by the Oracles, where even Maltese and Cretians are sitting together in peace. To bad we can't hide the Apahanta there...
I honestly don't know what to think. Maren is so happy and enthusiastic about the nomads, oracles and all this. To be honest, I'm concerned about her, as it seems her lost connection to Valery bums her out. She is humming, absently. She isn't in the present any longer. Well, sometimes. I hope she will overcome this. Also, it feels weirdly like she is trying to not be puppet, but still waiting for input. The last nights with her were great that way, but I can't let her fly around that way. She doesn't concentrate on the flights. I noticed that when she lured me to the dead nomad city in Newcastle. We were there to map the system for all those jump holes. Then she led me over there. There was a nomad that knew Thallia for some reason, but on the other hand, Maren told me it was a baby nomad, only a few hours old. I guess that's the magic of the mindshare, as it was able to show us pictures of laughing babies and little kittens and stuff, absolutely harmless. It was called Sarah.
However, Maren and me returned from the unknown system, using the jump hole that lead to Bretonia, to New London. Those jump holes were instantly teleporting us, and they were very close to each other, leading to the capital worlds of the other houses as well. That can only be artificial! It's not the first time I heard about the nomad's ability to create rifts, and when I asked Maren about Saturnia, she said she was able to make dreams become real. Maybe that was Saturnia.
I'll continue this log in a few, as there is more in my mind.

We went home, and it was still afternoon. I thought Maren and Nancy would do their trip to Gran Canaria, so I grabbed Leon again and took him to the Apahanta, as I really wanted to know more. Time is running, and I want to be prepared for the meeting with Bretonia. So, ignoring all the warnings and Frank's attempt to have me play along their rules, the Apahanta entered Omicron Iota. And it was creepy. No nomad patrols. Nothing. Not even the little ones. Last time the Apahanta was in Iota, we encountered even Irras and Nammus. But nothing. So we went further into their territory, using the central gate that leads to the ravine and there, using the gate to reach Omicron Major. Again, nothing. No Guardians. Last time they decloaked right in front of us. This time, nothing. But, we found something I will never ever forget...
A giant nomad ship, being held by two giant nomad installations that weren't there a month ago. I have no idea what exactly this is and what this has to mean. A ship of that size is probably not out there to be peaceful and say hello. No. I believe, after I saw what Ish'tar was capable of, that monster must be something with the capability to bombard planets. Knowing they potentially have a planet killer, the Apahanta took some footage on it, and then we headed for the jump hole to Omicron Lost, just to be... well, spotted. Frank was stalking us the entire time, calling the Apahanta with the following words:
[14.08.2016 18:57:13] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You know, Vertiga, the thing about human engines is that they leave trails.
[14.08.2016 18:57:42] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I had hoped you wouldn't be here, Frank.
[14.08.2016 18:57:45] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Seriously, though: Do you think that's cool? Do you think you're being cutting edge here?
[14.08.2016 18:57:54] Cloaking device off
[14.08.2016 18:58:21] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Truth is better than rumors.
[14.08.2016 18:58:38] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Why are you so arrogant, Vertiga?
[14.08.2016 18:58:52] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Am I? At least I know the truth now.
[14.08.2016 18:59:02] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: What truth?
[14.08.2016 18:59:25] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: You know it very well. I think that thing over there isn't just to look cute.
[14.08.2016 18:59:52] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's just a bigger Marduk, really. And the colonies are well aware of it. You are gaining nothing here.
[14.08.2016 19:00:23] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I wasn't aware of it. Now I am. I knew it was a good idea to come here more often.
[14.08.2016 19:00:34] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Despite that: I am not here to hunt you.
[14.08.2016 19:00:51] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: But excuse me for now, I have to talk to someone.
[14.08.2016 19:01:14] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I do sincerely hope you're happy. Not even sarcastic here.
[14.08.2016 19:01:51] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I don't know if there's a reason to be happy. When human build ships of that size, it's never a good thing.
[14.08.2016 19:02:31] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's just like Ishtar. Responses. Regardless of what we do, your kin will always be better at waging war.
[14.08.2016 19:03:19] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Who are you even talking about? Talk to whom?
[14.08.2016 19:03:28] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Do we have something similar to this? I wonder what it is capable of. Destroying planets?
[14.08.2016 19:03:41] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Now that's just wild conjecture.
[14.08.2016 19:04:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Come on, don't try to fool me. The bigger, the better. I once fought Ish'tar and Inanna in Omicron Delta. I pretty
[14.08.2016 19:04:23] The.Apahanta: much know what Ish'tar was capable of.
[14.08.2016 19:04:38] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So what is a giant thing like that capable of?
[14.08.2016 19:04:53] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Yeah, but destroying planets? Are you even aware how physically impossible that is?
[14.08.2016 19:05:21] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: As impossible as dreaming of things and making them being.
[14.08.2016 19:05:45] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Surprised?
[14.08.2016 19:06:05] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: A bit. Still, this ship is hardly strong enough.
[14.08.2016 19:06:23] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Would be pretty cool, though. We'd win within days.
[14.08.2016 19:06:41] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So what is it's purpose then, if not the annihilation of mankind?
[14.08.2016 19:07:04] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Do you know about the Cold War on ancient earth?
[14.08.2016 19:07:39] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Bigger and bigger till it collapses, I know that very well. I thought you'd follow the attitude of Ish'tar.
[14.08.2016 19:07:51] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: They say it's to intelligent to fight.
[14.08.2016 19:08:03] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: However, seeing that makes me question it.
[14.08.2016 19:08:16] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: We are on the brink of annihilation. We fortify, with no means to break the cycle.
[14.08.2016 19:08:49] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: This will be a deterrent.
[14.08.2016 19:08:51] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I hope very much you're right.
[14.08.2016 19:09:48] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You should go. Go and delight at the genocide of us. We'll hardly get to finish this thing.
[14.08.2016 19:10:18] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: It is not finished?
[14.08.2016 19:10:30] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Go in your flying ship made of our flesh. And no, do you see it moving?
[14.08.2016 19:10:57] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Just because it doesn't move right now doesn't mean it can't.
[14.08.2016 19:11:12] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: My ship isn't firing now. Doesn't mean it can't.
[14.08.2016 19:11:14] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's like the husks near Dur Shurrikun. Lifeless. It needs time. Time we don't have anymore.
[14.08.2016 19:11:33] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: You think so?
[14.08.2016 19:11:43] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: What makes you think you're running out of time?
[14.08.2016 19:12:09] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You've made your choice. You'll be one of those sneering once we're all dead, and your kind finally hold our heritage.
[14.08.2016 19:12:25] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: That's not true.
[14.08.2016 19:12:44] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Pff. Don't lie to me. You loathe us.
[14.08.2016 19:12:50] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I am looking for coexistance, but yet there is so much reason to not trust each other.
[14.08.2016 19:13:19] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Such like this thing there. Two months ago, it wasn't here. I am the one that feels fooled by your kind right now!
[14.08.2016 19:13:25] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: On a whole, there will likely never be peace. We are a source of money and technology for your kind.
[14.08.2016 19:13:47] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: That can change!
[14.08.2016 19:14:06] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Mankind can find alternatives to nomad technology.
[14.08.2016 19:14:07] Don't use F1 or disconnect when interacting with other players.
[14.08.2016 19:14:10] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Ooooh, can it? Do tell me your brilliant plan.
[14.08.2016 19:14:12] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I'm certain of it.
[14.08.2016 19:14:37] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You are just one man! We are being systematically annihilated now!
[14.08.2016 19:14:47] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Look, I'm not the one with the plan. I'm the one that has to decide between waging war against nomads or taking the
[14.08.2016 19:14:51] The.Apahanta: path of the Oracles.
[14.08.2016 19:15:03] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: To do so, I need to know the truth of both sides.
[14.08.2016 19:15:27] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Then why this clandestine bull*hit!?
[14.08.2016 19:15:53] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: All you need to do is approach people and ask! But instead you only do that when it's not us.
[14.08.2016 19:16:17] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: What do you mean? I can't expect you to just invite me here. In fact, in past that didn't work that way.
[14.08.2016 19:16:42] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: And I suspect you politely asked an Oracle or someone else to accompany you, huh?
[14.08.2016 19:17:24] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, the last Oracle I saw is dead now. You sure heard about Tatsori?
[14.08.2016 19:17:45] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Auxesia killed the her and I guess Reena will regrow?
[14.08.2016 19:17:50] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Yes, their path is a dangerous one as well. She did, however, decide to die on her own.
[14.08.2016 19:18:07] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I don't know. The Nomad can just decide not to.
[14.08.2016 19:18:07] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: A stupid, unneccessary death.
[14.08.2016 19:18:34] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: You mean, it's possible for Reena to be permanent dead?
[14.08.2016 19:18:54] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Still, all it would've taken is to contact the Oracles for something like what you wanted. That's all it would have took
[14.08.2016 19:19:24] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Sadly I didn't know that earlier. Now I'm here, spotted.
[14.08.2016 19:19:30] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, it can decide not to assume a spaceborne shape anymore and just exist within the Mindshare.
[14.08.2016 19:20:07] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: As I said, I am not here to hunt you. I am just really fuc*ing disappointed that you pull this spy act here.
[14.08.2016 19:20:24] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: However, you should know I don't have hostile intentions as long as you let me and the people I care for live.
[14.08.2016 19:21:36] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You seem to not understand how we work. Are any of you actively participating in our exploitation?
[14.08.2016 19:22:25] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: None of the people I care for. In fact, one of them convinced me to do the right thing and stop it.
[14.08.2016 19:22:58] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Then we really don't care. These spy acts are what gets us going, however. It has never yielded anything-
[14.08.2016 19:23:02] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: but suffering.
[14.08.2016 19:23:26] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Not my spy acts! A cloaked ship can't harm anyone.
[14.08.2016 19:23:54] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Oh, would that apply to Order scouts as well?
[14.08.2016 19:24:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I'm not related to the Order.
[14.08.2016 19:24:25] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I'm not even related to the Core any longer.
[14.08.2016 19:24:34] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: See what I mean, though? Knowledge can be dangerous outside the right hands.
[14.08.2016 19:24:54] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: What are you going to do with what you've learned? Wanted to sell the info?
[14.08.2016 19:25:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: To whom? You said mankind already knows about _that_.
[14.08.2016 19:25:31] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: As I said, I wanted to know the truth about both sides.
[14.08.2016 19:25:41] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You didn't know that before I told you, though.
[14.08.2016 19:25:59] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Who was that person who convinced you to do the right thing?
[14.08.2016 19:26:24] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I'm not going to tell you that.
[14.08.2016 19:26:58] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: You have to trust my word that this person is very ambitious to find a balance for both sides, as I do.
[14.08.2016 19:27:07] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: At least, now that I know that is possible.
[14.08.2016 19:27:21] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I am going to assume that this one is in some way affiliated with us. If so, why didn't you take -
[14.08.2016 19:27:37] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: that person by the hand and ask him to show you around?
[14.08.2016 19:27:48] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Two reasons.
[14.08.2016 19:28:12] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: First, I'm a hunted person and would never allow that person to be possibly harmed by being with me.
[14.08.2016 19:28:34] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Second, that person asked me to not go here, as it would be my unavoidable death.
[14.08.2016 19:28:55] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's a she, isn't it? Your she.
[14.08.2016 19:29:07] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Do you think so?
[14.08.2016 19:29:39] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Your two reasons imply at least a deep friendship.
[14.08.2016 19:29:58] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I owe that person one. That's all.
[14.08.2016 19:30:18] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: *He rolls his eyes* Sure, of course.
[14.08.2016 19:30:33] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Why would you even care?
[14.08.2016 19:30:43] CONSOLE: Possible cheating detected: poor
[14.08.2016 19:31:08] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I'm surely not the only person that ever dared to try the diplomatic way.
[14.08.2016 19:31:11] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: More or less.
[14.08.2016 19:31:18] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You'd be surprised.
[14.08.2016 19:31:51] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Now that you know everything, how do you feel?
[14.08.2016 19:32:19] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Misplaced. I still don't know what to think of all this. I need time for it.
[14.08.2016 19:32:36] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: However, I appreciate that you're not calling the Guardians.
[14.08.2016 19:33:00] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Reacting and counter reaction. Parry and riposte. That's how it's always been.
[14.08.2016 19:33:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You want to extend the olive branch, and it is appreciated. Yet this here didn't go a long way to gain trust.
[14.08.2016 19:34:31] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, in this situation, I wasn't here to extend the olive branch but to learn the truth. As I said, I couldn't
[14.08.2016 19:34:38] The.Apahanta: promise to not come here.
[14.08.2016 19:34:49] Discovery Freelancer is a role-playing server. All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. Shouting "Engaging" or "Halt" is not sufficient.
[14.08.2016 19:34:50] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: And I didn't expect you, especially you, to find me.
[14.08.2016 19:35:03] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I might have never left you out of my sight.
[14.08.2016 19:35:05] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: However, you said our cloaking systems aren't perfect.
[14.08.2016 19:35:29] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Is that so? So much about gaining trust.
[14.08.2016 19:35:33] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Cloaking is also ineffective against telepathic creatures. We don't have eyes or use sensors.
[14.08.2016 19:35:35] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Stalker.
[14.08.2016 19:36:00] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Right...
[14.08.2016 19:36:03] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It was for your own protection. If it weren't for me, /then/ there would be guardians.
[14.08.2016 19:36:25] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So I have to be thankful.
[14.08.2016 19:37:09] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Don't make me a traitor by letting you go just for you to turn on us again.
[14.08.2016 19:37:48] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: You know my conditions. As long as you don't make me regret things, we should be alright here.
[14.08.2016 19:38:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: To remain neutral in this conflict, all that must be done is let things happen. They don't concern you, as long-
[14.08.2016 19:38:34] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: as you're not part of the exploiters.
[14.08.2016 19:39:12] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: It's not that easy. Just because of my hope about coexistance, the Battlegroup Auxesia suspects me already to be
[14.08.2016 19:39:18] The.Apahanta: infected. As well as another person.
[14.08.2016 19:39:44] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Or, in fact, the entire crew. Just twenty loyal people, but still...
[14.08.2016 19:39:51] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Then seek help.
[14.08.2016 19:40:04] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: My god, that's what I do, damnit.
[14.08.2016 19:40:17] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Auxesia is fanatic about killing your kind.
[14.08.2016 19:40:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I'm well aware.
[14.08.2016 19:40:41] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I need some proof, something that convince them to stop.
[14.08.2016 19:41:00] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: They know the Shrine, most likely. If that can't convince them, what else can?
[14.08.2016 19:41:05] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: But with a thing like that, that's very unlikely. Auxesia surely knows about it, am I right?
[14.08.2016 19:41:19] Za'Ghul: Human *prescence* ~detected~
[14.08.2016 19:41:27] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: I have no idea whether they know. The houses do.
[14.08.2016 19:41:43] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: But how?
[14.08.2016 19:41:59] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Hello, little nomad.
[14.08.2016 19:42:12] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: They came here. Don't ask how, I don't know.
[14.08.2016 19:42:23] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: All of them!?
[14.08.2016 19:42:33] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: All of them. All four houses.
[14.08.2016 19:42:59] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Even Bretonia?
[14.08.2016 19:43:12] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Even Bretonia. Their flagship was here.
[14.08.2016 19:43:21] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: The Dauntless, I guess.
[14.08.2016 19:43:31] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Correct.
[14.08.2016 19:43:44] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: So they know about that giant monster over there?
[14.08.2016 19:44:02] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's not a monster, Vertiga. And yes, they are well aware.
[14.08.2016 19:44:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Well, you still didn't tell me what it is then.
[14.08.2016 19:44:35] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's it's a ship. Like a Marduk, just bigger.
[14.08.2016 19:44:52] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Just a ship? You're not trying to fool me?
[14.08.2016 19:45:24] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: It's just a ship. One that can disable entire battleships with one shot, yes.
[14.08.2016 19:45:40] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: Disable or destroy?
[14.08.2016 19:45:58] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Depends on how gentle it is being right now.
[14.08.2016 19:46:39] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: That Void Archon. I guess you asked it to not attack me, right? So that must be true.
[14.08.2016 19:47:04] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: You are drawing attention of the greater lights, however. You should leave.
[14.08.2016 19:47:16] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I agree.
[14.08.2016 19:47:29] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: It was a pleasure, Frank.
[14.08.2016 19:47:36] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Have you at least learned everything you wanted?
[14.08.2016 19:47:46] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: More than I expected.
[14.08.2016 19:47:46] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Can't have all this be for nothing, right?
[14.08.2016 19:47:58] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: I understand.
[14.08.2016 19:48:12] The.Apahanta: Vertiga: We're leaving, don't worry. Apahanta, out.
[14.08.2016 19:48:14] Wilde.Leuchtfeuer: Frank: Well, I'm going to take a shower. What happens now is out of my hands.
So, the nomad knew it when I was there, no matter if I was cloaked or not. They were playing games with me, and probably Valery knows about all this as well. However, I can't say I'm not pleased with the results of all this, as I know much more now. Not only about the potential planet killer, but also about Saturnia, Ish'tar and the possibility to reach all of them via neural net. I, however, don't know if I really want to contact them, yet. I don't want to waste their time, and I think it's too dangerous in general. No, that's not how we do it...
I didn't see Nancy yet. Maren and me had the opportunity to make some love in our bed, which isn't that easy, now that Nancy is sleeping in our bed aswell. For the time being. We had some... interesting nights so far, however, I'd like to have different circumstances. It's nothing more than tempting to have her that close to me. I don't know what's going on right now. Maren, Nancy, Sombra, Thallia, all of them are giving me signals. It's like torture, to be honest. I had a date with Thallia on Curacao a week ago. Just a formal one, since Thallia missed all the fun we had on Curacao with Leon, Maren and Nancy, and Sombra. So I asked her out for a dinner, and we went clubbing a bit, and she took the opportunity to get drunk horribly, as usual. She said she would give me a shot if I wasn't with Maren, being very touchy all the night. Poor girl, she really has not luck with men. She still isn't over that Locklear guy, and she really could need someone to make her more stable. Someone with backbone. Someone that isn't just using her for her skills and traits. Too bad I can't pull off a thing like with Nancy, as Leon is the only good boy I know.
Anyway. I heard Auxesia is being hunted by the Bounty Hunters now. Maren told me about it, and then Raven too. I can't say that's not good, as it will slow down their efforts on the nomad hunting, I guess. Last night, Maren and me met Raven at Barrier Gate, talking to her for a bit. Little chit chat, nothing more. Tried to find out if she and Hunt are a couple, but she didn't tell. I still think so. She had trouble with her stomach, according to her it was about curry. She had to poop two times during our conversation. Funny girl. She even remembered our first encounters in Delta. Looks like I'm not a noname to her after all. I just don't know if that's good or bad. However, this time, she didn't say anything wrong to Maren, no suspissions and such. It was... okay?
I don't know. I need more time to think about all this. With that potential planet killer, everything changed to me. And the houses know about it. They know...

And here I am again. So many things have happened. Maren and I actually had a problem, a big one. It all began with her asking me to visit Munich, as Maren wanted to see Nuremberg. Her parents might be there, as there is a mass panic on that planet. Everyone wants to leave it, as Munich is slowly eaten by dark matter. Maren wants to know if her parents are there, but it's too dangerous to go there. People will kill her to get her ship and leave the planet... so I forbid her to go there, and I saw the conflict in her eyes, heard it in her voice. She was mad at me for not letting her go there.
Later, we talked about it again, and I offered her we can go there together. Somehow, I don't remember how it turned that way, the topic switched over to sex with multiple girls. We were so close to break up, I think. God, why isn't this easier? She knew what kind of man I am. It's torturing me to know I can't kiss Nancy, Thallia or Sombra. I don't want to hurt Maren. I'm an idiot...
Now I remember. I said to her, she would gain my loyalty if she finally stops to be Agent Unschuld of Das Wilde. So, we both think it's not too much to demand from each other, but I have the feeling Maren is still Unschuld. She is still breaking the promising. Still keeping up a lie. It drives me insane. My worst nightmare. We're working against each other. I just want her to stop it, at all cost. She has to stop it. She has to...
Please, Maren, stop it.
But she won't stop. She said we need a compensation. A new Unschuld. Bullshit! I'll find a way to free her. There must be something I can do. There must be. I can't get them a compensation. The only option would be offering me, but that won't happen. I'll never work for them! God, this is making me sick...
So a few things were happening after that. We went on a tour through Sirius. The Sternenstunde, Maren with her Hellfire fighter and Nancy with a remote controlled drone. Leon was with her on the Hoffnungsschimmer in Omega-49, so they wouldn't need to worry. It was nice. We were in Bretonia, the Taus, Kusari, Sigma, Rheinland, Liberty, Cortez... Maren doesn't like Curacao. I think she's projecting her hate about my vices on the planet. I told her I wanted to buy us a house on Curacao, but she would like to have it on Canaria. I offered her a compromise: House on Curacao and a cottage on Canaria. She accepted it, obviously not happy. I hate it...
Back in Omega-49, we talked about... well, the 'videos' Leon made for Nancy, and that sweet couple wanted to watch those videos. So I thought we give them some privacy. I invited Maren to Canaria for a dinner, and theatre and a decent night in a hotel. We randomly met Thallia on the planet, so she joined our dinner in a weird Gaian-ish restaurant. Thallia accidentally complimented the waitress' breast when she got her duck breast, and in the end, Thallia ended up flirting with her, leaving us again. So Maren and I went to the cinema.
I don't know what's it with Maren. I think she's trying really hard to be as hedonistic as I am. What happened in the cinema surprised me really, positively though, as we sat in the last row and... well, we didn't see much from that movie. What happened in the movie hall, continued later in the hotel. Maren wanted to compose a transmission to Enma Loyola, and I told her to do an audio transmission while I go south on her. It was funny, but absolutely weird. Maren has changed her behavior, really. I just hope she does it freely, on her own will. Not just to please me. It's weird. It's just so weird.
Maren showed me the Drake system. I was expecting a bit... more? I mean, we found that malfunctioning gate there, tons of weapon platforms, a Liberty Assault Battlecruiser, a small installation. A young nomad was there as well, lonely. No other nomads, no broodhome, no nomad city. Why do they protect that system then? Is it the malfunctioning gate?
Whatever. I don't think I'll get answer about that soon, as Maren doesn't tell me too much. I shouldn't push my luck too much. I'm still waiting for Bretonia to respond to me. Didn't hear anything from Canaan and Prime either. Maybe I need to find some other reliable people that can help me. Maybe Enma Loyola can come in handy. She wants a Zoner Whale from us, and I can get her one. Already asked the ship vendor in Sigma-15. The thing is, I'm pretty sure we have a problem if Loyola wants to transport slaves to Malta using this Whale. I need to tell her there are some restrictions to that ship, as I don't want to lose my good reputation with the Zoners.
In a few moments, Maren and I will move to Tau... 37? Well, to Freeport 10. We meet Enma there, she will come to the Hoffnungsschimmer for a dinner. Can't wait to see her. Face to face. I remember multiple occasions where I had to fight her during my time in the Core. Really, I can't wait to see her. She surely had good reasons to fight the Core.

The dinner with Enma Loyola was... short. She tried to stay polite. She lied. She didn't even eat with us. She was just there, drinking wine and watching Maren and me eat while we talked. I even called her Emmeleia, like Maren told me that's her 'petname'. Funny thing, Emmeleia is also the IFF signature of a ship that was present in Omicron Delta multiple times, attacking us with the help of the nomads. Yes, we gave her the damn Zoner Whale. I really hope we profit from it somewhen, although, right now, I don't know it was a good idea. She knows I know she is a nomad supporter. It was obvious. But I still don't know whether she is infected or not. According to Raven, she is.
Maren and I met Raven randomly. Once in Inverness, where we watched her having trouble with the Bretonian Police. It was hilarious. Apparently, Auxesia is not allowed to bring capital ships into any other Bretonian or bretonia-bordering system than Omega-3. That's funny, to see how a single bretonian police snub forced two Auxesian capital ships and one auxesian snub out of the system. The argument was very funny. I'll post the video capture I made with the remote drone here:
I got some scans, partially, of the Eidolon Wraith and the Cincinnati. I doubt it's useful for us, but Maren told me she scans everything in radar range, always, so I thought I should adapt that behavior. With that drone, we can risk a bit more, getting closer to giant ships like the Cincinnati. I still feel a bit unrelaxed knowing Maren prefers to fly around in her snubs instead of using a drone.
We also had a meeting with Laguna from the Oracles. It was a very successful meeting, so far, yet I wait for an answer from the higher ranks of the Oracles to tell me Valery and Maren no longer have to be Unschuld. Laguna and Reena assured me Unschuld did way enough to gain her freedom. I like that. On the other hand, I wonder what exactly Unschuld did.
On the Hoffnungsschimmer, things got a bit out of control, to euphemism it. Valery uses a human projection now, walking around as a mixed version of Nancy and Maren, just even smaller. We had some strange situations with her in that form, but right now, I don't mind it anymore. It's actually fine to have more interaction with her. I never thought a nomad could be that... human-ish.
Nancy was on Canaria with her, and they picked up dudes together, doubleteaming them. Sounds totally strange, and I still don't know how Valery gives her projection that real-ish shape and such. I mean, it's not simple telekinesis or whatever, but her body feels fleshy real, warm, she eats, drinks, she even uses the toilet. She blushes when she looks at me. Or, well, past tense for now. Yesterday, Nancy went completely insane. She knows there is a memorial in Bretonia for the horrible things she did. She talked about it all the time, saying she doesn't deserve to live happy for all she did. Valery tried to calm her down without manipulating her body, but she failed. Nancy began to punch her own stomach with force, trying to get rid of Valery. So Valery left Nancy's body, Maren put her in a bathtub and tried her own luck with calming Nancy down, but also failed in it. We gave her some time, hoping it would calm her down. Didn't work. Valery was very exhausted from leaving Nancy's body that suddenly.
Then I tried to talk to Nancy. I locked me and her up in her room, saying I wouldn't leave unless she gain back her sanity. So we talked about the current issues. I knew she had feelings for me, but I didn't know she was jealous like that. And then she said over and over she would just destroy everything around her. Her relationship with Leon, then her friendship with Valery. She even insulted Maren badly. I didn't let go of her that easily, and that's when she went insane. She said she wanted to leave us so badly, but in her weakened state, I couldn't allow it. Valery just left her body, so she didn't even had the power to move me with her weak arms. She shouted at me, yelled her soul out of her body. Hell, she managed to make me angry with what she said. I can't even remember everything. I said if she wanted to leave, she had to kill me, knowing she loves me. I don't know what I had in my mind, but I gave her a knife, helped her pointing right at my chest. I felt the edge. I knew she wasn't strong enough to even get through my overall. But then, she said "I did this before". She collapsed, lost her consciousness for the rest of the day. I brought her over into Maren's and my room. Maren was shocked when I came in with Nancy in my hands. I told her what happened.
Short time later, I went over to our bathtub, where the little blue creature was purring in the water. She wanted to talk to me, Maren said, so I talked with Valery. Her idea was, since Nancy wanted to leave the Hoffnungsschimmer, head for Bretonia to get imprisoned, Valery would imprison her in her own mind, getting back into Nancy's body to fix her brain issues and all while she would simulate Nancy a life in her mind. Her body would be a lifeless puppet for a while. I wasn't very fond of that idea, but what was the option? Letting her leave? Locking her up? Imprison her in a cell on the Apahanta? No... Valery assured me she could handle this.
I'm not sure if I really should record this, but during the time Valery was a human projection, we joked about the next time I would see her as a nomad incubus. She was afraid I could find her ugly, like when I saw her the first time, when Maren vomited her into Nancy's mouth. I told her how curious I was about how she actually looked, although Thallia showed me her shapes on the x-ray pictures of Maren. Anyway, we joked about having Valery crawling on my chest while I stroke her like a cat, since the incubus makes a purring sound when absorbing the water of the air. So... well, I was in the bathtub with her. Retrospectively, that must sound insane. Having an alien crawling on the own chest. Actually, it was okay. We enjoyed a bath together. It was strange, totally, with her talking to my mind all the time while I talk to her like a human does. I stroked her musculous body. No bones, little fins on her back, a nozzle-like appendage with, uhm, like four lips as a mouth. Well, no real lips. The belly-part of her body was meaty, with an uncountable amount of tendrils. She told me she used that to manipulate my body to feel things, like a ghost touch on my cheek. So I let her do.
I bathed with an alien. So weird.
Valery needed her time to gain enough power to be able to enter Nancy again. It was good Nancy was still unconscious. With Nancy lying in our bed, Maren and I called it a day.
So we got up today, Maren taking care for Nancy, feeding her, cleaning her like during the time when Nancy was paralyzed by... what she did with Leon. I took the opportunity to get ourselves some money again. The Apahanta was heading to Omicron Lost, mining some Iridium Ore for the Junkers in New London. Not that money was a problem, but the more the better. We entered Omicron Delta cloaked, did our job in Omicron Lost and on our way back, we stumbled across the Core Rheinland Cruiser Hershel. It was hunting a nomad gunboat. Cloaked, we followed the Hershel, which lead us to Minor, to the fragment field of Toledo. Little did I know, it was captained by Cordelia Lyell, Guildkeeper and owner of the Core.
We decloaked on top of Toledo. There we were, a Core Rheinland Cruiser and an independent Mako. I'll add the logs of this encounter here as well.
Now that the Core knows about the Apahanta still being out there, things are a bit more serious. The worst case would be a bounty on my head. However, she made it obvious how not interested she is in this. She played with me, that old monster. I offered her a payment to solve this situation. She declined, saying she had enough money to buy Curacao... I wonder if she said that on purpose, but I guess she knows. She heard about the sex stories of me on Durban and Alabama and Yaren, before I was with Maren. Welp, good times, but I didn't think this was public knowledge.
Of course, she suspected me to be infected because of my unique position between the lines. I sent her my blood, so she could be sure I'm not. Fuck, I just don't know. There was nothing I was able to offer her, nothing than information about the nomads. The Apahanta has enough data about what's lying beyond the Omicron Iota gate. We have scans of Dur Shurrikun, the planets in Iota, the Altair Complex, even about the Hidden Giant in Major. We know many gates of the nomads in house space. Chester, Newcastle, Drake, even the gate in Kansas Maren showed me. However, the latter I can't show her. I promised.
Lyell was right. I don't have the best blood results. Much stress, and I actually feel exhausted. No rest on the Apahanta, no rest on the Hoffnungsschimmer. Maren is really doing a good job to help me, to please me. Yes, she does a really good job. Oh yes...
I contacted the IRG. We need to upgrade the cloak of the Apahanta. I can't dig deeper without it. House space is too dangerous for an independent capital ship, no matter how good my intentions are. Right now, the Apahanta is at Livadia, and the Zoners have full access to it. Leon is managing all this while I took his Osprey to get back to Maren in Omega-49. Can't wait to see her.

So much has happened. So very, very much. I don't think I can recall all of it. Basically, the troubles of the last two months were all caused by Auxesia, the Lane Hackers and Cordelia Lyell from the Core. Where to begin with...
Okay, the current situation. The Apahanta is moored with Livadia for a few weeks now. Why? I asked the Ingenuus Research Group to do their best to upgrade the Apahanta's cloaking device. 15 minutes of consecutive cloaking aren't enough to ensure the safety of the ship and it's crew. We need more. I paid IRG 500.000.000 Credits, which raises the money I invested into the Apahanta to fully 3.000.000.000 Credits. That's more than the half of what I got by selling my parent's company. With only a bit less than two billion credits left on my accounts, I think it's time to get new perspectives to get money. The Iridium runs from Lost to New London are getting more and more risky. Although, I had this pleasant data exchange with this Freelancer Escorts and Repair guy, Jimmy O'Brian, who not only paid good money for my dossiers about the Omicron systems, but also paid for visual material on nomads.
Also, Sombra is still working for me, using her Whale to make money with three runs per day. She's doing that very ambitious, making 50-50 with us, what helps with the upkeep of the Apahanta, the repair bills of our smaller assets and still allows us a luxuary life on the Hoffnungsschimmer and on planets like Canaria or Curacao. However, I don't want Sombra to take all the risk. The Omegas and Omicrons are dangerous. So far, nothing bad happened to her. She's okay with the Corsairs and all the other guys she meets on her working route.
While Leon is on the Apahanta and coordinating the work on the cloaking device together with the IRG, Maren, Sombra, Nancy, Valery and I are currently on the Hoffnungsschimmer, which is hiding in the Flare Nebula in Cayman. For quite a while now. Like, basically since Maren and me were on the Eidolon Wraith.
So, we were there. I requested this meeting with Hunt and Raven as I got awareness about them ruining my reputation with other factions, like the Lane Hackers. Probably also with the Bretonian Government... Bretonia denied me the requested asylum, talking about suspicion. A word Joshua Hunt, or Curator Endurance, as he is called in his power ranger outfit, very often used when I was on the Bullhead.
But let's begin with the beginning. Maren and I went there, to Inverness, where the Eidolon Wraith was awaiting us. Very brave of Maren, with her special condition. We wanted to set things right, and partially, we were able to. We talked to them, Hunt and Raven, and it basically was just them trying to get me into their fight with the nomads. Basically. It was a bit weird, as they were behind a bureau table, like super villains. Weirdly fitting. Raven sitting there, in her armor, eating waffles and drinking fruit juice, and Hunt, dressed as Curator Endurance, just stood there, playing his role. To be honest, it feeled like they were doing the "Good Cop - Bad Cop"-tour on me, with Raven being the good one. To me, however, it seemed like Raven was the weaker link. Like, Joshua Hunt seems to be the brain behind Auxesia. At first I thought he was the more trustworthy one, but I was wrong. Raven is just sick. He, however, seems to be able to split his personality from one moment to the next.
They brought us to a guest room, telling us they would do their tests on us the next day. So, while knowing it was very possible that they were spying on us, putting us in a bugged room, Maren and I took the opportunity to have some physical fun. After all, under circumstances, it could have been our last time, if they would have found traces of Valery inside Maren's body. But, nope, before I could finish, Hunt interrupted us by knocking at the door, wanting to do the tests now. Just a few more minutes... anyway, they brought us to what they call the Zeta Section, a very, very heavily fortified part of the Eidolon Wraith. Like, seriously. Turrets, drones, interior shields. I was wondering if they just didn't want someone to come in, or if they wanted to prevent things from getting out there...
So Hunt scanned us, still pretending to be Curator Endurance. First Maren, then me. Surprise, none of us was a nomad, and they didn't found any traces of Maren having had a little incubus inside her in the past. It was somewhat resolving to me. However, that didn't solve the situation after all. No, instead he asked me what Auxesia would get for sharing the information of Maren and me not being infected. Extortion. I was instantly in a bad mood, disappointed.
Curator Endurance insisted on a search of the Apahanta. At that moment, I didn't get the connection. Why the Apahanta? What did they think they could be hiding on a big ship like a Mako. A ship that was basically shouting for attention where it appeared. Maybe I was paranoid, and still am about it, but the way the Curator insisted on it, made me believe they wanted to take the ship. The pressure was on, and although I have literally nothing to hide on the Apahanta - as it was moored with Livadia at that time, inspected by IRG with full access to everything but the database - I didn't want those heavy armed combat Auxesians on my ship. My crew mostly is pacifistic. Zoners, Freelancers, some defectors from the Core. Twenty people and Leon.
Yet the Curator insisted, expressing even more suspicions as I didn't want to allow them to search my ship, placing their people on it. Five of their guys could easily overwhelm my crew. And they have shown how not trustworthy they were. And then, for the first time in my life, I passed out, right infront of them. Embarassing... Maren told me they had a talk in the meantime, her and the now revealed Joshua Hunt. According to her, he suddenly was more human than before, asking her a few things and in the end asking why I don't want to get rid of the Apahanta. When I woke up again, seeing Joshua Hunt was Curator Endurance, and a very bold male power ranger nurse next to me, obviously libertonian according to his rude behavior, they talked about me selling the ship, so I told him the price: 2.500.000 Credits - the money I had invested in the Apahanta that time. He said he would think abut it, while I wasn't serious about it. That was just another indicator of Auxesia showing it's interest on the Apahanta. Another reason to be very, very careful. Angry and stressed, I asked Maren to help me up, as I wanted to leave. However, they were still extorting me, and Hunt reminded me, if I was leaving now, they would take it as evidence of us being controlled by nomads. A few minutes of discussion later, they at least allowed us to return to our guest room, just to have us leave in the next morning.
Still stressed and not even slightly in a better shape, both physically and mentally, we returned to Omega-49, taking the Hoffnungsschimmer and instantly left the system to hide the Hoffnungsschimmer where it is now: in the Flare Nebula of Cayman.

That was it about Auxesia. Now, what all else has happened? We had a certain reaction onboard after our return from the Eidolon Wraith. Nancy, who seems to... really hate me now, was offended by the way we didn't tell her about us leaving the ship for this examination. I just left her a little notice.
However, I already got used to her behavior to me. It's really a shame. I doubt there is a way to fix what is broken between us. Maybe it's better this way.
Anyway. While Nancy is mad at me, Valery however offered to do what she had offered a while ago already. Having the knowledge of the mindshare, she said she could try to upgrade the cloaking device of the Corvo, with the help of the Nomad Power Cell Maren once brought to us. It was a time-consuming process. I mean, I helped her with the construction. We basically only build some sort of adapter for our normal cloaking device. Like, she told me what exactly to do and I did it, not knowing what I did. We ended up with a... metallic thing, that, to my eyes, didn't make much sense. Like, I know very few about engineering, but that thing was just a bunch of metal pieces welded together. The thing is, it basically was literally this. It was just a foundation for the real deal. For the next step, Valery brought Nancy down to the engineering, to have her spit on the thing. Yes, spitting. Since Valery is still inside Nancy, she made her spit some weird nomadic material onto the thing and told her to smear it all over it. It was a weird thing to see, actually.
Days later, the substance eat into the metal, and it looked more and more like something the Core would cut into slices in the laboratories of Durban Station. Assuring me it could work, Valery told me to try it out later, after inserting the Nomad Power Cell into the device and connecting it with the engine and the cloaking device. That, basically, is how one incubus and one human created a hybrid cloaking device. A working one. I tested it when Maren, Nancy, Valery and Sombra were on Canaria, leaving me and Mittens alone on the ship. It works. I tried it for an hour, flying around in Cayman, passing some Reaper ships that didn't see the Corvo. However, I didn't want to push it too far, so I returned the ship to our hiding spot in the Flare Nebula and waited for my crew to return.
I took the time to write a communique to the Oracles, as they could be able to help me with another problem: The Core.
I think I already did a log about my first encounter with the old devil Cordelia Lyell of the Core. Well, I had a second meeting with her, and it was a catastrophe, as it seemed they wanted to trap the Apahanta. I didn't think of the new Jump Hole to Omicron Rho in the Minor nebula, close to Toledo. So they forced the Apahanta to return to Alabama. There was a small window of opportunity for me to escape from them, building up just enough distance to prevent them from stopping the cloaking device of the Apahanta. It was really, really close, but we were able to slip away.
Then, something surprising happened. I contacted Lyell again, and this time, we worked something out. Like, we had a final meeting, this time somewhere remote. The Junker Station in Omega-55, in a bar. Only a few people there, and a nice girl behind the counter. This time, I was thinking I was in a better position than her. She came with two guards, one staying outside, the other staying close to her. Mortimer. So she took a seat, guessing I wanted to record this conversation, and had a stun blaster with me. Tricking me once again, she bluffed when she took out a little device, saying it would generate an EMP field, just to make sure this wouldn't get recorded by anyone in the bar. Fucking Bitch.
So we talked, once again. No weapons, no recordings. Of course she played her cards in a way that would just aim for embarassing me, like she always did. In the end, we finally found the foundation of a deal. To solve this solution now, she put my name on the list of the costumers of APM, which will make sure it will look to the Core like I legally purchased the Apahanta. In return, she wants me to provide her in-depth dossiers about the Church of Malta and the Faith of Tarxien. Never heard about the latter. So, I had no other choice but to contact the Oracles, one again. And now, we have a special guest here. A woman I already know from a little trip to Manhattan - Oracle Marie Mercier.
Her appearance here is a bit troublesome, as she not only managed to find us here, deep inside the Flare Nebula, where not even the Reapers found us, or the Auxesians. No, she also managed to dock with the Hoffnungsschimmer without anyone of us noticing. That happened one hour ago. I woke up, hearing Sombra screaming and shouting, so I grabbed the stun blaster and ran to the hallway, seeing the door to Sombra's room was open, and there she was. Marie Mercier. She actually only wanted to wake up Sombra, so she could ask her where everyone was. Marie was surprised herself nobody allowed her to dock. I just looked up the docking logs, and this time, it was Nancy's fault, it seems, as she didn't send the lock signal to the docking bay when she left the ship with Valery...
Anyway. Everything is alright, more or less. Marie is here now, and she wants to take a look at the 'spirit' and how we treat her. If it's okay, she will provide me the data on the Church and the Faith of Tarxien. That's a step into the right direction. Maybe we once will be able to return to a normal life.
Sombra calmed down again, and Marie and her were talking for a short while, while I took the opportunity to slip into some pants, as I was completely nude when I encountered Marie. We then went to the canteen, talking a bit about how things are going here. She wasn't aware of Valery having left Maren's body to fix Nancy, and I told her about Valery projecting a real human image as an avatar, so to say. I think it impressed her to see how real this projection was.

Still not all of it. I think I need to talk about one more thing, something that really... I don't know, bugs me.
The more time I spend with Maren, be it just being with her on the Hoffnungsschimmer or having her at my side at our adventures, I feel like I should give in. Like, she really loves me, and I really love her, but we're really different. I know she doesn't like Curacao, and she knows I hate Canaria for it's giant insects. Like, there are no giant insects on Curacao. The weather control systems wouldn't allow that. It's just a few imported animal races, some maritime wildlife in the filtered ocean areas. But no fucking giant moths like on Canaria. We have Chiwis and some ocelote-like felines. Birds and all that. That's enough. Why would she want to live on a planet with insects!?
Anyway, that's not the point I wanted to make. It's more like she's really, really trying to open herself to the Curacaoan lifestyle, with everything that that may includes. There was that one evening where I wanted to talk with Maren. I really was ready to tell her to stop. I didn't want her to do the threesome thing we talked about. But, boom. She came back from a little tour through the Omegas and guess who she picked up. Sombra. Sombra had asked her if she could bring her to the Hoffnungsschimmer, as she knew I wanted to have her here for something, and she knew exactly for what, and was willing to do it. I really felt like an idiot when I saw them. Sombra really makes things a bit more complicated, as she is very easy to offend or to jar.
So Sombra stayed. I wasn't able anymore to tell Maren what I initially wanted to tell her. Stupid me...
What happened next? Sombra and Maren tried some things out, being intimate with each other, and Maren liked it. She even became friends with Sombs. They had a day on Canaria together, while I was on the ship, testing the new cloak. They came back in the evening, and then the three of us did it. They really put thought into the scenario, dressing up nicely, putting on some make-up. Sombra knew from the past all too well what I like. It was weird, but okay at first. Then, when Sombra wanted me to do her, Maren pushed her away, making a clear statement, and it ruined the mood. In the morning of the same day, we already had a weird situation, where I catched the two of them in flagranti, and uhm. Maren had a neuropathic seizure. Urgh. Really, the recent days were weird. I never really should have allowed that to happen in first place.
Sombra surely will leave in a few hours or tomorrow. Poor girl. I bet she had better imaginations of what would happen here.
I really don't know where this all will lead to. I just hope Maren is happy or will become happy again. It's really about time to settle down with her and start a family instead of me trying to keep up the curacaoan lifestyle. She really has earned it, with her fanatic loyalty to me.
Then again, there is still the Apahanta out there. I can't just give it up. Not after investing three billion credits into it...

I think I didn't add a new post to my journal for two months or something like that, so I guess it's about time to reflect everything, get my thoughts sorted and collected. Much has happened again, and thinking I have finally managed to solve one problem, two more problems are popping up and forcing me to be extra careful once more.
Where do I start though... the current situation in the Omicrons is heated again, as the Core and a few Zoner groups are, well, at war, again. There was a ceasefire for some months, but two idiotic captains have managed to break the ceasefire and start a war again, resulting in a massive NEMP bomb going off on Freeport 11, rendering it disfunctional and everyone who didn't get evacuated is by now probably already dead. I heard they were able to bring most people to Gran Canaria. Good enough we left the planet after the christmas holidays to celebrate New Year on Curacao. However, as the Core was not only fighting the Zoners in Omicron Delta but also entered Omicron Kappa, I was forced to relocate the Apahanta temporarily, hiding it deep in the Peloponnese nebula while we somehow had to ensure the cloaking device can be brought online again, as the IRG teams are still tinkering with it. They better get things done soon, though. It's three months already, and I have invested much money.
That however wasn't the only relocation of the Apahanta in the recent months, as the IRG teams weren't constantly working on the Apahanta, which allowed me to take the ship for a few flights. And what intersting things have happened in that time. Outcast pirates have placed a NEMP bomb in New York, temporarily disabling the jump gate to California. A jump hole forming in Omicron Kappa and New London, connecting those two systems for a bit more than a day. As a result, ships got massacred in Kappa and mass graves were brought from the Omicrons to the houses. That wasn't the only new jump hole connection, though. I brought the Apahanta to the Kepler system, where right above Ames a jump hole had formed, leading into Rheinland space, however not into populated one.
An abandoned depot was there, guarded by very angry nomads. Marduks. Maren somehow managed to enter that station and showed me the data she was able to extract, although everything is very cryptical. Looks like they were working on different things, and Leon said there were data about a new engine type included. He and a few other people on the Apahanta are currently taking a closer look at it. Maybe we will be able to upgrade the Apahanta's engine to something more efficient.
Nice and fine, but that birdch Raven was of course around when the Apahanta left the rheinlandian system to get back to Kepler, and during one moment of carelessness, she managed to have the Eidolon Wraith scan the Apahanta, so she was we got stuff from the depot, including the remains of a nomad vessel that was shot by the other guys that were spooking around in that system. To be fair, I think it's better to return those remains to where they belong instead of having Raven get her hands on them.
She is becoming more and more of a problem. A static antagonist. I was hoping she'd stop it with those hostilities once Maren and I were scanned and declared non-infected on her ship, but it seems like nothing has changed. I was playing daredevil for one day, moving the Apahanta from Omega-49 through Bretonia to get to Kepler again, so we did that, making sure nobody would find the Apahanta in space where it isn't welcomed. I have no idea how they found out, or even if they did, but Bretonia's security patrols were surprisingly active that day, following a ghost from New London over to Cortez and even Magellan, where I made I leap of faith and moved to Vespucci, simply because Bretonia doesn't dare to go there, and I can at least say I'm a citizen of the Commonwealth... who just happens to have a battleship. In Vespucci, we were alone, and so we moved on through the southern regions of Liberty, staying unseen. We eventually reached the Freeport in Bering, as moving up to Kepler again was too dangerous for the moment. Later, we brought the Apahanta back to Kappa using the shortcut through Rheinland. Nobody saw us there either.
However, that virago of Auxesia again tried to destroy my reputation. There was another AFC jump race in Omega-3, and the Eidolon Wraith and the ship of Admiral Hall, the Sovereign, where there as well. She somehow knew that the Apahanta was in Bretonia that day, but she had no clue for it. She was spreading rumors, as she had heard a bretonian admiral got something but nothing real. So, with Hall being present, she confronted me on a public channel, asking me why the Apahanta was in Bretonia and all that, and in the end dared to warn me, as if she was the bretonian law in person. Her megalovania is getting bigger and bigger, and that's a real problem. While Maren just wants me to settle down with her finally, I can't do it yet. And thus I have to prepare myself and teh Apahanta in case of Auxesia actually trying something against us. Gathering information, learning about their weaknesses. I noticed Raven got defensive when I mentioned her raids on Liberty in front of Hall, so maybe I should try and find out more about their diplomatic relations with everyone and their mother. Maybe Nesrin can help me here once more. Which reminds me...
Since Auxesia was demanding it so badly, I allowed them to send a team on the Apahanta while it was moored at Livadia. They sent a ship called Adraste, Osiris-class. Venator Dryad led the investigation, and apart from her being a rather rough and professional Auxesian, she seemed to be more of a scientist than actually being a warship captain. But, well, doesn't mean much, given that I am a biology teacher and not a trained warship admiral. But looking at the statusof the Apahanta, I seem to do not that bad. No losses since our defection. Auxesia seems to need to repair their capitals more frequently, given I witnessed them getting heavily damaged in New York and Manchester. Doesn't prevent them from sneaking around everywhere the Apahanta is dispatched, though.
Ergh, I really shouldn't think about it, not right now. Bretonia didn't contact me for a fine or something else so far, so I guess they don't have any proof of the Apahanta having been there. That's good, yet I don't want to risk too much with them. After all, I'm still looking for a chance to have them granting us shelter. I'd even join the fight against Gallia, if necessary. I mean, I'd do everything to prevent the frenchmen to start an assault against Curacao. In that case, I might actually would throw the Apahanta against them, if really necessary. Let's just hope that won't ever happen, with Bretonia, Liberty, the Commonwealth and the weird Crayterians protecting Curacao.
Uh... I'll make a short break here and check whether Maren is still sleeping. She usually wakes up pretty fast when I'm not providing her my chest as her pillow. Funny, actually, as I noticed how she coughs wildly once she salivated into her mouth and then wakes up for a moment, drinks a bit of water, then puts her head against onto my chest in a way that allows the saliva to leave her mouth. Like, I can't remember when I woke up without a wet chest in the morning. Sometimes even the belly.
Anyway, back in a few. Don't continue without me, log.

What else did happen. I remember a nice reunion with Eliza Valdez, so to say. I mean, it's somehow nice to see her still roaming around alive. Valdez was around the one night more than seven months ago, shortly before Maren and I came together. That was the crazy night when Maren was a bit drunk and was flirting with a Corsair girl, I think Marisa was her name. Good old times at the Freeport. Valdez was there and enjoying the company, although more idling around. There was also this James, I just can't remember the last name. Morrigan? That funny guy from Liberty, talking as politely as a BAF pilot and challenged Valdez to a duel. If she loses, she would have to become his wife. Sadly, she refused just as politely.
Boy, I invited her to come over to the Corvo back then. Everything could have taken a completely different turn if she had accepted...
Anyway, Maren and I met her in Baffin at the Skyhook, where we had a nice talk. Looks like she got her hands on a nomad power cell and gave it to the guy of that Maltese Destroyer that every now and then pops up. The ship named the Shovel, and the guy was... I think it was Kadego Sudrosa or something like that. I'd need to look up the audio logs of that day, they are already archived. Anyway, that guy seems to be a Curacaoan as well and is said to collect those things. However, the few times I've encountered him, without exchanging words with him myself, I noticed Auxesia was always around as well. Cortez, Manchester... I don't know, but I don't like the idea of a nomad power cell in possession of someone who might be in touch with Auxesia. That's pretty much the thing I like just a little more than Auxesia having that power cell.
So yeah, time to gather more intel about this guy, and maybe have a talk with him.
Hoffnungsschimmer, make a cut here, I'll quickly fetch something to eat and continue then.
And back I am. We have those Sunbucks donuts here on the ship from our latest trip to Liberty and I just wanted to try one. They aren't that bad, actually, but I guess I shouldn't touch them. Like, Maren is eating those more frequently and I feel like it's the reason why she simply doesn't get fitter yet. I mean, she is a bit lazy when it comes to the gym, even when I'm inviting her to go there with me, but in that case it just ends up with us having intimacy on the mats instead of doing an efficient workout. I mean, I'm the one who does the most...
Speaking of her. Maren is changing pretty much recently, and I still can't say if it's good or bad? It's weird. We had this one AFC jump race in Baffin weeks ago, where I won 250.000.000 Credits from the jackpot. Maren and I made a bet for the first race. The loser will be the slave of the winner for the rest of the day. I lost and challenged her to a double or nothing. The evening plus the entire next day, and I somehow won that race. So she kept her word and pretty much became one with her new role. Like, she called me master and talked about herself in third person and, well, it turned from a rather romantic dinner into a wild date of me teasing her physically and mental to a point where she completely lost it. It was... unique? She loved it. I mean, that's okay, but she is rather submissive towards me in general lately. I guess that was pretty much a result of her having given away Valery in order to have her cure Nancy. The day after that AFC race, Maren got Valery back, finally. She still owes me one day of her playing slave, by the way. I won't forget that.
In general, Maren seems to be okay-ish right now. We had a bit of hassle about stuff in the recent two months, mostly because she brought Sombra to the Corvo and, uh... well, the sins and fortunes of a curacaoan, I'd say, not that I did anything wrong, nor did anyone else. In the end, everything is well now. Maren is dandy. Maybe a bit too submissive, but I guess with Valery back in her body, that will change again.
I don't know why, but I had a weird nightmare about her dying a few nights ago, which kept me concerned. She is such a gentle soul, and when she's not hiding in a snub, she is so vulnerable, just as Nancy. However, at least now the has Valery back, so both her and I can protect Maren effectively, if necessary. Not that that was really necessary. Like, I think she needs probably more protection for herself. Her stubborn way of flying around in her little ships makes me shiver. She always acts like I'm more vulnerable on the Apahanta, but two well placed shots on her little ship are enough to kill her. I just hope and pray that will never happen, and I hope she does me the favor and stops sneaking around all the time.
Nancy is currently rejuvenating. We had quite a lot of hassle in the recent months, as I just couldn't allow her in her weak condition to leave the Hoffnungsschimmer. Passing out to the wrong time and she'd be captured by Corsairs, Bretonians or Core, imprisoned, raped, tortured or killed. It was a bold move to keep her on the Hoffnungsschimmer against her own will, but it was better this way, and I think she has realised that. Right now, she seems to be okay with me again. When she had to give back Valery, I was staying with her, as the transfer weakened her pretty much, causing her to become fever-ish again for quite a few days. So Maren and I took care of her, and later Leon as well. In the end, she even changed her mind and stayed on the Corvo with Leon, while we were on Canaria in a cottage during Christmas, and later we were together on Curacao for New Year, which was good. Otherwise, she would have been alone. With her family either dead or somewhere missing on Leeds, and that one Steve guy that she still claims to love being out there without any clue. Kalliste Silver didn't respond to my comm, so I guess I won't find out about his last name or anything else useful. Damn it...
Nancy somehow got closer with Leon again, after him having frucked up with her when she had Valery in her body. Now it seems like they are getting along well again, as he sleeps in her bed with her, but according to him, they didn't get more intimate yet, with her still in a questionable condition.
Leon. Great guy. He was staying on the Apahanta for a while, leading the IRG teams working on the Apahanta's cloaking device and all that. I heard he was very welcomed by the Apahanta's crew and they are happy with him in the team, and that's good. I think even he does enjoy the thrills and fortunes of travelling through space, but I know him well enough to know that he isn't comfortable with some aspects. He'll probably return to Curacao as soon as I get rid of the Apahanta, if that ever happens.
Leon was busy working on some projects, as he is trying to learn more about the current form of the Apahanta, it's systems and modules. As I already mentioned, he said there might be a chance to improve the engine to become more efficient, but that's nothing but theory yet.
Sombra was quite a while on the Hoffnungsschimmer, becoming friends with Maren, Nancy and Valery, after some... fauxpases and hassle. Nancy and Valery did some weird moves around her, and Sombra isn't the most mentally stable person out there. But everything is alright now, and they get along with each other now. However, I noticed something and had to send Sombra away, as otherwise something maybe would have caused trouble. I don't want to get specific about it. It had to be.
She is still working for me, though, and helped me with helping Eliza Valdez a week ago, and I heard she hepled the Zoners in Kappa and Omega-49 with some deliveries, which is good, I guess. I hope she doesn't risk too much, though.
Now that New Year is behind us, we noticed we want to spend more time planetside, so we made plans for Curacao. I think especially Maren welcomes that, as she obviously dislikes my work on the Apahanta, and I believe she still doesn't trust me fully about it. She wouldn't sneak after me the way she does if it was different. Sometimes I wonder if she thinks I still want to fight the nomads. I mean, Valery probably knows I gave up that old ideal in order to seek peace between our races. She probably trusts me more than Maren on that...
At least that is what I hope. After all we've went through. And after all I have done to save her and allow her to live amongst mankind. I really hope all this was worth it.
