The dark and expansive room awoke from its slumber and started to light up with lights as the large, heavy sealed door hissed and slid open. Hovering through the transitioning 'vestibule' air + fire-lock with a built in decontamination chamber, Sunny entered his private hangar, one fully for himself and his tinkering. The lights turned on, one after the other quickly in the dark room, directing spotlights into the lined up ships that stood clamped to the floor in rows. The background noise of the additional generators powering the lighting and electronic system rose to be more audible with a low frequency hum, and as the spot lights turned on the additional large encompassing lights activated. Mechanical arms eased out from their compartments inset into the walls and ceiling, releasing some hissing pressure from their hydraulic tubes and automated garage doors rolled open to reveal a large array of tools.

Activating his shoes again, his feet connected back into the floor's surface, keeping him there from floating off in the zero gravity hangar. He took his time to walk forward towards the secured ships as his steps echoed through the large expanse space and resonated against the walls of the hangar.

A small sphere rolled on the floor towards Sunny from a trap door at the base of the side wall. Coming just a meter away in front of him, the polished silver sphere activated with red lights and projected above a holographic image. Materializing, the image of an animated woman became clear in front of Sunny and it waved, greeting him with a cheerful expression on her rendered face.

"Master Sunny! Welcome back! What would you like to do today?" The AI's voice generated from the sphere at a comfortable 60 decibels, clear to hear and matched her visual expression. "Your to-do list specifies several variables? Shall I help bring you some equipment or tools?" It suggested.

"Thank you Diata (DATA INTELLIGENT ANALYST and TECHNOLOGICAL ASSISTANT), I would like you to rather give me any information you have collected about the Nomad Lesser Veil that was found and that I left to be scanned. Has there been any progress?"

"Yes, Master Sunny, the item has been scanned, though it appears to be quite damaged. Results show it to be a sort of hive for a large cluster of non-activated micro-organisms. Properties of these things..."

"Hold on.... that shield thing I collected is actually alive? Has it been sealed?" Sunny, quickly asked, alarmed by the finding.

"Master Sunny, you have nothing to fear. On detecting this, proper measure was taken to secure the organisms so they will not contaminate anything further. They are not active at the moment, and appear to be rather in a sleep state. As I was mentioning too, their properties indicate to evidence that they have aggressive capabilities, but rather these organisms work to absorb damage. Additionally, they seem to be a weaker mutation."

"Hmmm...." Sunny thought to himself outloud. "I thought this item was some sort of mechanical equipment, though in fact it is biological?"

"That is correct, Master Sunny."

"Continue to examine it then. Perhaps they respond when an alien... thing... is around them?"

"Very well, Master Sunny. I shall create a task for the research department to carry out experiments with alien 'things' around the Veil. What would these 'things' be?"

"Just make a note of anything we have in our stock... including the highly contained samples." Sunny nodded and started walking forward towards his Bayonet.

"Yes, Master Sunny...." The hologram nodded back and started to follow him, rolling itself quickly forwards past Sunny while the hologram displayed the image of the woman to be walking as well. "... Would you like to look under the hood, Master?"

"Oh you know me too well...." Sunny smirked a little, getting closer now to the Bayonet as it as if magically turned itself on with it's lights powering up.

"It's a 90% chance you would..." The hologram replied back.
