My only thing is that I've always thought the Nomads would work with the Phantoms over the other humans... Afterall, their goals are the same and the Phantoms are a smaller force, in general. Phantoms use stealth, fear, and subversion to continue to exist, while humans can simply use brute force. For example, if every house were put together against the Phantom Empire, we would have no chance. There's only two or three battleships in our fleet, while there are a hundred in the Houses. That's the reason the Revenant is placed where no large fleet could actually enter (after having to survive Outcast or Corsair fleets only to be bottle-necked on their way in). As a matter of fact, there are actually Nomad ships protecting the jumps to Omicron-82.
Phantoms have also helped Nomads in the past, remember the NCU incident where the HMCS Magnificent crashed into Manhattan? Phantoms allowed Nomads to gain control of that ship by sabotaging the Nomad Containment Units (NCU). For the longest time, Phantoms were the only ones to ever have contact with the Nomads, without hostilities. When the Keepers came around, that disappeared because someone thought that the past doesn't matter (or just forgot or didn't know).
Addendum:
Also Phantoms aren't inheritantly evil, either. They fight for galactic peace under the rule of the C'Tan. The Enlightenment process makes you completely under the power of the C'Tan while maintaining whatever other freewill you may have. For the Phantom Empire, it was necessary for the enlightenment to make them excessively violent. Like I said before, the Phantoms only exist because of fear and stealth.
Define evil. It is different depending on who you ask. All you can do is get a general concensus on it. The Corsairs may be called evil but yet they wouldn't call themselves that (generally)

More like it was forgotten somewhere along the road and nobody was to resurrect it with the actual players. There is still plenty of work right now, Nomad lore is going through large modifications and I'm deep down working on that for now along with the other members of the faction. Once released we'll return back to the topic and see what opportunities may be there. Perhaps if that is to happen it's best started with in-game roleplay I think. Much like it was with Outcasts, slowly event by event and conversation by conversation there came to be what we have today, entirely improvised between factions and players.
Apologies for the potential mischaracterisation of the Phantoms, then. It was my understanding that the intent of the faction in general was evil cyborg supervillains. Though, the "Darkstar as Harkonnen"-ish (Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from Dune is a 'deviant') post I quoted was from an earlier period in Disco history.
As for SK-Phantoms.. their goals are different. SK desire to drive all non SK/DK/possible other member species of the DK Empire out of the Sirius Sector, Phantoms desire to (correct me if I'm wrong) conquer the Sirius Sector, which includes subjugating humans and SK.
Also, it's not exactly being woken up.. it's being woken up, finding your family heirlooms sold off by pawn shops and smugglers and odd people occupying your house.
But, seriously, the Phantoms seem to have similar capabilities to humans, but advanced to some degree. And there is no way you can argue that the Phantoms ' torturing for fun isn't evil. If they've been removed of their free will and replaced with 'something else', that 'something else' is evil, if the original wasn't.
The ends don't justify those means, no way, no how.

I'm interested in seeing where this reorganization is taking place, as it isn't on the Keepers forums... is there anything I can do to help with it?
I'm also of Praetyre's persuasion for Nomad-Phantom relations, they are at the very least long-term enemies, even if perhaps they will side with each other to fight a common foe. Perhaps.
I find it more likely, under that logic, for SK to ally with humans on a short-term basis, since Phantoms and the C'Tan Empire are a larger threat to them, more advanced in technology, bigger in size and much, much, much more powerful.
Since SK don't do that.. I doubt they'd ally with Phantoms.

That remains to be seen.
Plus, do we know real extent of Nomads throughout the galaxy? Said to be there aren't the only ones in Sirius, but elsewhere too. What about them? What about something in Omega-58. And something in new Iota. Something past behind it as well... Mmm. But no more spoilers! :-)
@sovereign: mostly goes as I keep writing it, sometimes talking on Skype. Ideas and stuff, of possibilities and so on. Certainly you can help, tons of work ahead still.

Except for the fact that the C'Tan aren't in the Sirius sector.
