Far to the North there is a land
of forests lush and hills green
where a young princess's hand,
has been given away by a jealous queen.
Lady Mariella the Fair,
last of an ancient royal line
to fallen kings she was the heir
but since dethroned by wicked design.
Prisoned in her very palace
and promised to a lord:
a man filled with hate and malice,
she to be his cruel reward.
She looked out of her tower sad,
and sung for a savior true,
A hero strong in iron clad,
that all her pains he would un-do.
Finally her call was heard,
and came a knight of high fame,
but her title and kingdom he preferred
Luke of Dunbar was his name.
Luke called out to the Lord,
Salasar the Flabby -
and he bargained with the sword,
sparing no-one, not even the abby.
He made Mariella the Fair his wife,
even if only in name,
to increase the size of his estate for life,
for greed and power was his aim.
Mariella was chained to the court,
unable to set herself free,
Although she gained the support
of Skald, though she know not he.
The Skald a traveler of far away,
took pity in the sad young queen,
and sung pretty songs to convey
his care for her yet unseen.
For a time they played this game,
slowly gaining affection,
Until she knew his heart she'd claim,
and planned for her defection.
In the twilight of the hearts glow,
she snuck to his guest-room,
where her love she did show;
they then did dress in costume.
Mariella - pushed aside,
at the mercy of others -
finally in herself took stride
and did her will - not another's.
In to the darkness they did flee,
and were heard from no more,
Mariella finally filled with glee,
happy to her very core.

This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren
And if it were a romance there (or something of a slightest chance to it) I don't see why would it be creepy. I actually don't see any reason of anybody coming out of the dark and saying "ooo, creeeepy!"
Keeps your kewls dawg nah flamming heres! Jus' tellin' ya it be no yar bussiness anyway!
Let's stay in the dark and see what happens. :P
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
