"Okay. Let me know when you pop in." Nicole set Lindsay down then headed in to change, putting on some casual pajama pants on a black tshirt, then going in to cook their meal for the night.
"Will do."
He led Lindsay back into the bedroom, helping her get get changed before putting on a pair of PJs himself. They both walked out, Lindsay running and jumping onto the couch and practically jumping in her seat.
He picked up the tablet, picking out the movie they'd chosen and starting it up. Once finished, he proceeded into the kitchen, where he slowly snuck up behind her, lightly wrapping his arms around her waist and pecking her cheek from behind. "So.. bar-b-que, huh?"
By contrast to the expected, he had a fairly humorous t-shirt with a Liberty dreadnought on it which read 'My guns bring all the boys to the yard..", and PJ pants with scattered images of eggs, bacon and coffee mugs.
"Mhm, delicious, juicy ribs." She leaned back into him, mixing up her home-made BBQ sauce. "They'll be nice and tender, falls right off the bone." She seemed to be adding a mix of ingredients to it, but it had a delicious smell while the rips cooked in the oven, she was preparing an entire rack of them.
"A little like you.. minus the.. 'falling off the bone' part.." He chuckled, reaching either of his hands across to each of her hips, lightly poking them. "I'm sure they'll be perfect, hon.."
He took a big whiff of the air, smiling and giving her another peck on the cheek.
"Oh I think I raise one than make it fall off..." She giggled as he pecked her, finishing her mixture of BBQ, pulling the ribs out and beginning to marinate them. "About half way through is the best time to coat them, perfect flavor."
He let go of her somewhat, letting her work while still maintaining a light hold on her. He kept a hand on her shoulder, watching her as she marinated the ribs. "Just looking at them.. even half finished is making me hungry, hon.."
He looked around a bit, reaching over to the fridge and pulling out a bottle of Liberty Ale. He gave her a glance. "Want one..?"
"Oh I suppose I could drink it this time." She put the ribs back, resuming their cooking, leaving just enough of the sauce to use to dip. "While ale isn't the best, it's not always what you drink, but who you drink with. Reminds me, I have a couple bottles of the 'good' Rheinland beer that a friend gave me."
"Don't suppose you have it on you.. Stuff's nice, but Ale always tasted funny.."
He pulled out a second bottle for her, setting it on the counter next to his. He popped the cap off, taking a small, but slightly reluctant sip. "Nllgg.. Never the taste that gets this stuff bought, can tell you that.."
"Got in my fighter's hold, in the fridge." She after raising the bottle to her mouth, she swallowed her pride and took a sip, giving a similar reaction as him. "Definitely not the taste.. I really don't know what makes it sell, first time I've actually tasted it.. always mixed it with something else.."
