not working for me still have the same problem of update
That's strange, everyone I've directed here says it works. What in the exact order are you doing for it to happen? If you still got the zip file provided a few pages back, I suggest uninstalling current disco launcher and the unzipping that one as everything is supplied in the folder. It's very unusual for it to not work
Hello diamond1.
I describe the order of installation:
-Installation of freelancer ( From my original CdRom)
-installation of discovery mod 4.88.1 in regural way, i precise i add not other mod or custom pack.
-updating of the launcher and start to DL the updates.
-the first update of 17.63MO pass, the second of 47Mo stuck at, 17Mo or 23Mo sometime more.
-Open folder/ appdata/user/local/discovery freelancer and erase the previous .zip of updates.
-launch again the updates without success at this moment.
I precise few months ago i start to have troubles connection and almost each times i have crash at the server connect (the game stop working blablabla...).
The informations i get from StDenis are sometime my char or my ship create this bug, and sometime the anticheat detect cheating exploit, sometime it from my ping (around 500ms).
I try to create a second char on the same account and create a second account (with different ID) but that don't fix the problems.
Strange because i can play many days without troubles, everything works good and after...problems coming.
I DL too the complete pack of update provide on this thread with a fresh install of FL....same problem of update, i try to do a manual install without the .exe, not working too.
I precise i run FL on 2 different computer with different OS, one with Win seven and one with Win 10.
I going to search in the registry or in the log.ini if i find something.
You can use http://discoverygc.com/patch/ provided the list is kept up to date.
I do not deal with discovery development much anymore, server management is now in the hands of @Alex. , but perhaps I can find time to make the list automatically generated so nobody has to manually update the html.

Hello Alley.
this link sound good but is it necessary to DL all the patches or only specific ones? (ex: only from 2017?)
It's possible to download only the patches you need. For instance you could predownload all the patches above 10MB and drop them in your Discovery folder. It will skip the download when it gets to this patch and attempt to install it right away.

Hello Alley, just a feedback from my problems:
-Everything work good again.
-I notice some problems, in the http://discoverygc.com/patch/ some patches are missing, 5 in totally, and not recent ones.
-The 2 firsts updates not working because the launcher don't take them in consideration, only from the "MergedUpdates_07072015_27102015.zip".
-Other trouble about the DL speed, my speed connection is around 700-800Ko/s but when i DL one patch the speed is no more than 25-40Ko/s, i don't know why, maybe the discovery Ftp have problem or restriction.
finally i can connect without troubles than few days before, i don't have crash or server kick, i launch the game 20 times, all work perfect.
To finish, i would like to suggest to the staff to compile the old and recent update in the .exe of 4.88.1, maybe it help a lot in the future for new install and new users and cross some problems (if it's possible), also to update the patch main page with the missing patches and remove those don't have utilities.
Thank a lot for the help, see ya in space.
Regards, Wardoo
