Hi everyone

Irma's eye wall missed us entirely; the only thing we lost back home was one of our plantain trees, which succumbed to an early wind gust.

Other islands weren't spared like us; storm season is just starting, and right now there are 3 hurricanes in the Atlantic Basin, though it's unlikely that the next ones will surpass Category 5 as Irma did. It is still heading towards Florida; may they be safe and well too.

Mate stay safe, that is to everyone who lives on those island and in Florida, I watched the news last night from the UK. They are saying there are two other Hurricanes. I may be wrong. It appears the one following Hurrican Irma is called Jose and looks smaller from what I can tell, but i'm no weather specialist.

Glad to hear you are all good. I hope the next two pass you by ass well. As for Irma, I went down to Miami in 90s to do construction work (Roofing) after hurricane Andrew passed through. I got there two months after the storm had hit, and I was completely in shock as to the amount of damage it did to just about everything. If this thing hits Florida as a Cat 5 hurricane, it is going to be a really really bad one I fear.

In times like this, having the Med Force One in real life would be amazing - perhaps in the future we'll see things like these =.)

Power was out for a few days, but it returned yesterday. For now, we rest easy expecting Hurricane Jose not to make landfall on our nearby islands: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_at2.shtml?cone

However, Irma is still on track towards Florida; it may still have significant destructive potential several days after landfall too; all prayers should now be redirected to the people over there
