heh, don't we all, and for the ban.... maybe you should of read the rules in the mod readme before playing. it seems people don't read much anymore unless something happens to them. Maybe we should make a video for the people who refuse to read the rules. or i guess they can just keep getting banned. i don't know.

On that note, I wish I had a .beam command so I could buy my Plutonium and send myself straight off to Mull. Hell, why not just .addcash it, since I have FLHook now? You know what? Screw it. I'll just FLHook myself a 4.82-Era Corsair Dreadnought with all Admin equipment and go pirate everybody in New York? On that note, why don't I use my magical powers of conscience-free action to go on a massive bank-robbing spree with a BMG and mow down hundreds of innocent citizens whilst taking millions upon millions of dollars? Why not start a nuclear war and watch everybody burn? Why not borrow some generic superweapon and commit some heinous uber-crime? Think up something outrageous, the analogy still works.

If you weren't familiar with the rules, when they are placed in your hold when you begin, AND broadcasted on the server, the only person you can blame for your ban is yourself.
Stop complaining and be glad it wasn't a permanent ban.

He's in the wrong, but that's a bit far.
@ Anthrax:
Come back on the server after thirty days. Be active on the forums in the meantime.
It also says in the rules that "Not knowing the rules does not relieve any player from responsibility."
Quote:A lot of the reason they are so hard is because they have to be.
Quite a few people like yourself have been caught like this.
I would hazard a guess that it's much more frustrating to the Admin that people keep popping up with this issue.
So in order to make sure that this issue doesnt crop up they pretty much lose interest and give all incidents a 30 day ban.
In all fairness the mod clearly states to check the rules, and if I remember right it has a basic outline of them on the actual mod description. I totally understand your position. You just want to come on and have fun as we all do. But the whole act of playing on this server is much more serious than most. Pretty much obey the rules or die no exceptions, mainly because as said before the admin pretty much have had the sympathy beat out of them by hordes of other cheat banners.
In my opinion it was good that you got pinged early. Since if you would have built up a uber wealthy character and unknowingly breached the rules you would proabably lose everything. This has happened to me once. crazy.gif
Yea mate, quit ya bitchin and take it like a man. Modding is a very serious offense, as we have every nutjob and pwnz0r wannabe trying it on. We have also heard every excuse under the sun.... (and no I'm not an admin)
Saying "I didn't know it was illegal" is just silly.
In every mod server everywhere that I've ever seen in my now many years of playing Freelancer, I've never seen a place where running a mod other that the official server mod isn't a criminal offense.
You were banned according to the conspicuously posted rules that are your responsibility to know before flying the mod.
You were given the openly posted and well established penalty for the offense after being asked about it and admitting your guilt. It even comes up in the server messages about every hour or so. If you've flown this server more than an hour, you knew the speed mod was illegal and chose to fly it anyway. Puh-leeze!!
Exactly what does the word "unjust" mean in your world? It apparently is different than in everyone else's.
Mommy doesn't run this server friend. [color=#66FFFF]I mean really now!?!
Totally just ban, I think it even gives a warning in FLMM not to use those mods in multplayer. I think everyone knows how I feel about cheats, 30-day ban's getting off lightly.
