Being serious, I'm way against such concepts. We already have Armor Upgrades, no need to have Shield Boosters, or else Disco Combat will turn in some sort of RPG, where more skilled and grinded players have an advantage against poor and untrained ones.

Not gonna be expensive like Armor Upgrades actually. Also why you fight if your ship not ready?
Grind to win is in every game, whats the point of trading or money making if you get a ship with fully upgraded equipments

Any of todays non-rpg games, especially competitive games are coming along with a wide variety of upgrades to your characters/accounts, etc. Next to this it gives the player the ability to adjust their ships to their playstyle and personal liking, making them feel more comfortable with them. Btw interesting you say it could turn disco into a rpg, which the community actually tries to make it. And why is some grinding bad? It makes people log at least, and you can go and rp with them then (piracy likely). Also if you can afford to buy a 500m SC ship, you probably will have the time to make a few additional credits for upgrades aswell.

I think there is no need to elaborate how complicated it is for a sole person to grind at least 1 bil in our game. No need to make them grinding even more.

Dude, grinding in this game is very welcome as it provides server with much needed activity in form of traders. Pirates would disappear if there were no traders around to grind. With pirates gone, people would not log their capital ships to gank the crap out of them, thus decreasing activity even further. Grind is necessary evil. Darn it man, I am grinding for items in For Honor, multiplayer fighting game that I paid 60 euros at launch.
