"Maximum Brick, you are cleared for Mooring Point Alpha, welcome back."
The League Brick's porters waste no time in moving the canisters of gas, Optronics, and other assorted goods onto it in preparation for... something. Carpenter has ordered "Kess's Things" to be moved off the station for "safety", and as Domuda views the odd apparatus with a certain reserved caution, he can't help but feel... entranced by the strangeness of it. Idly, he scans the manifest to find... A Nomad Fuel Cell listed in the things being moved. "Carpenter, where the hell did you get that?"
"Where do you THINK I got it? I asked nicely for it."
"Really?"
"Complete with puppy dog eyes. 'May I pwease have some fuel?~' But I did say it with Torpedoes."
"There we go."
"But seriously, get this stuff as far away from here as possible. I will not have Miss Kessereya's things damaged by those less enlightened. Get this stuff to the Concordia. They are better-equipped to make this device than us."
The Senior Staff member sighs. "This should be sufficient to make the experimental device work. If anyone finds Kess, we need to bring her in to test the thing in person. Inform me immediately if you find her. Actually, going to make that a League-wide thing. After you leave, I'll write up the broadcast."
As the Brick makes its way to safety, Elroy grins. Let the Nomads take the bait of this heavily armored gun platform. The true prize has already been taken home.

"The Strand-Layer, Andy's final gift to the world, lay aboard Concordia, ready for the sixty-ninth test of the crystal tissue. By fusing Azurite Gas, the microbiological Nomad subspecies, and Cardamine in its liquid form, thanks to generous donations of the stuff from the Fexx Cardamine plantation on Malta, as well as exposing it to psionic signals emulating a hive mind thanks to a copy of the LINGUA Device, the crew had found that they could make the alien organisms "bond" to form an entity that resembled a Nomad..."
"Oh get to the point."
"Oh fine. We were able to make something that was almost like a Nomad. Its psionic emissions and functions were identical to ones in the field. That's not all. The more powerful the signal, the more, for lack of a better term, evolved, it would become. I'm glad we're here, because the last time, we had to space the vat, it kept growing, and the Exitus escort had to scramble and blow it out of the sky. But check this out."
The man motions Elroy to look upon this. Staring back at him is a HazMat canister, labeled "Nomad Remains". "We ran some tests. Did you know that what is left behind is functionally identical to the remains of the Nomad warforms? We could make a quick buck if we wanted."
"I'll start throwing money at you immediately."
And so money animated the Concordia Biotics sails.
