How about more drones (1 per drone bay?), but only 1 can be active at the time?
Allowing you to choose proper drone type for the situation, or deploy reinforcements after 1st drone was destroyed?
You'll be able to choose a loadout of the drone depending on your need.
For instance "/deploy Light Bomber Type-1" deploys an anti-shield bomber with incaps and ASURAS. Type-2 would be SNAC and marauder, Type-3 would be Novas and a stronger SNAC. This isn't how it's exactly gonna be, but it gives you an overview.
Well, that is cool as ****. But my question remains: will more than 1 drone per carrier be possible, how big will the hangers be?

A: Just one, currently. While Titan and I have tested the plugin in various cases, we are unsure about the server load this plugin may have when there are multiple drones in space. We have had very good luck with low loads with one or two, but we don't know how it'll fare with more. If the developers want me to support more later, sure. But for now, it's limited to one.
Guys , one drone per ship will be enough for now , for testing purposes , dont ask for any more of them until we see how they will behave on real server with lots of carriers .
Number of drones for one carrier can be modified later , if needed .
As , for fear that to many drones may become NPC ganking problem , we could have some safety measure , for example , program that prevents more that , lets say , 5 drones active in same system .

There is FAQ in the first post
Thanks, I have read that. I probably did not express myself right:
I know you currently want just 1 ACTIVE drone per carrier. Im talking about how many drones you can have on board the carrier, ready to be launched, something like ammo for missiles. What if my ACTIVE drone is destroyed, can I launch another one? Or does it use cooldown?

I was told that ammo shouldn't matter. That once a drone is destroyed, it should simply be queued up to be launched again. So theoretically, a carrier can launch unlimited drones. Just one can be out at a time. It was mentioned that perhaps every launch should consume ammo, or withdraw some credits, although ultimately those ideas were scrapped. This being something I could add in later if people deem it necissary. But right now, they're free.
Yes, there are different types of drones that a single carrier can launch.

Sadly, I have not been having much luck dealing with the drones not appearing on the scanners. FLHook really doesn't like fake reputations.
If worst comes to worse, I've created a small workaround which should be at least slightly informative, which tells the user who owns the drone you've just selected. It's easy to tell if you're being targeted by a drone, since it turns red to you (and an alert will be given to you)
(The text may be hard to read, but it says "Target is a drone owned by User" - User is the shipname for the one who deployed the drone)
I'm not giving up on a proper fix. I'm simply making sure that options exist for if worst comes to worst.
