The Guard finds these plans agreeable. However, there are a few matters we'd like to clear up before we proceed.
Firstly, the Guard would like to conduct the survey of your floating cities first, before we commit to joining your exploratory efforts. We do not have many teams to spare, and focusing our manpower on one task at a time will greatly increase our thoroughness.
Secondly, we are interested in the reasoning behind limiting our possible inspections to only six platforms. Our teams would not be intrusive in their research, and their visits should be quick and mere formalities.
Moreover, we are afraid a file on every member of our teams sent to Yuma is not something we can provide. I hope you can understand that personal situation of many of our members is quite precarious, given Bretonia and Liberty considering us a criminal organisation. We will pass along what information we can, but we have no choice but to keep some if it secret to preserve the safety of our people's families.
Lastly, we'd just like a small clarification of what an AIT is. Your message implies that we would be accompanied by it during the exploratory efforts.
[This is automated message, sent as you triggered a search bot.] [Opening Files...WARNING: SOME INFORMATION ARE CLASSIFIED! CLASSIFIED INFORMATION WILL BE OMITTED!]
There are several reasons why, one of them being the time. I do not know how long you are assigning to your teams. All interplanetary flights are controlled by ILL and most of the islands are self sufficient, which pretty much limit the need for people to travel to one island to another, however there are shuttles but if the Gaian team wants to visit all of our islands, we may need to re-book.
As for the continental teams, as you wish.
We have nothing to hide, in case you were wandering why only 6 islands. Even if the Gaians are finding any issues, we look to learn about it and see how it can be corrected.
In the matter of personal information, a brief file for each person would be needed, important personal data as name, rank, DNA sample and medical records in case something is happening. Again, do not worry about any threat about your people but we want to safeguard everyone and if there may be any medical reasons, we wish to know so we can tailor an appropriate response.
AIT are Crayterian Infantry. They are our own version of Sirian Marine Corp and they are present everywhere. When you will land on Yuma, you would see patrols from them and also Police. We are taking our security very serious. They are well trained and loyal to the Republic and it's Citizens. I think I mentioned that the Flora and Fauna on Yuma is very aggressive and a team of scientists may represent an easy meal for some predators, which is why AIT are accompanying scientist teams on the continents. They are armed with lethal and non lethal weapons, to be used appropriate. This is not-negotiable and the decision is taken in the interest of preserving human life.
The Guard has discussed your information request and we elected to reduce the amount of teams we will dispatch. They will be comprised exclusively of people that can afford granting you the information you require, and despite the unfortunate consequence of prolonging our research, we believe it to be the best compromise.
The AIT escort will be of no issue to our personel. It would be preferable if, in accordance with our own exploratory procedures, every member of our expedition was allowed to carry a sidearm. A few of our predecessors have learned this necessity the hard way. This would only apply to their stay in the wilderness, and no member of our organisation would remain armed on the islands themselves.
We have already assembled four teams we indent to deploy to Yuma, three for island inspections, one for the continental exploration. However, as there is membership overlap between them, we will have to nevertheless proceed with the inspections first.
I am happy that you find our terms acceptable and I am looking forward to speak with your representatives. I, personally, am looking to learn more about ecosystems and if Gaians can share any knowledge, I am more then happy to listen and if possible adapt it to our needs.
As having your teams armed during our continental exploration, I agree. However, if we trust you having sidearms during your stay mainland, you must trust us also and allow us to keep your side arms when you stay island side. They will be locked in a safe on your compound, under AIT guard. In case of a security breach, the AIT will give you access to them before he will group with his fellow soldiers. That is an addendum to how the procedure goes for all Citizens and Residents, as the right to own a weapon is in process but also helps us to keep a low crime rate.
We await your team profiles and I am eager to meet them on New Thessalonica.
Our teams have been dispatched to Yuma onboard a Serenity class transport, with appropriate fighter escort. Keeper Hitcher has been assigned as the expedition lead, he will provide you with the necessary information once they arrive.
Thank you for your swift response, I am looking forward to meet them.
I am hoping this will open a new door for a better Gaian-Crayterian relation and we may learn from each other.
