yes, it is.
You fly around the system with your scanners set to detect 'solars'. Whenever you see something, you fly directly to it/on top of it, open up your nav map, and look at where you're at on the grid. You write down the coordinates on a peice of paper and you now know where it is =P
well there isnt much else to do as an order pilot, other than blast the endless waves of bounty hunter and nomad npcs that get thrown at minor.
Keepers arent on often, liberty always turns tail and runs when we find them poking their heads into our space, and there's very few bounty hunter players out in minor/100.
Ever try FL companion? It it very useful, and less cluttered than Datastorm. Granted, it only gives Locations of bases/planets/Hole and gates/ who owns what system. It doesn't tell you where wrecks/ships/equipment are, unfortunately..
