The Cheetah kept rolling and soon they reach a side of the island which was teaming with workers. The people were around a Neo-Gothic house. Eagle crested soldiers and people are around the house. A long tall wall guard the grounds of the Estate.
A fully armed Soldier stops the vehicle and informs them that they enter private grounds. "Not to worry, I am one of you." he said showing a badge on his chest. The Cheetah had been cleared and they entered the grounds. Orchards are being replanted and on the sea side, from the small harbor, sounds of repairs can be heard.
"Seems they are repairing there" and they stopped in front of the house. Oreste took the hand of Sarah and he lead her towards the eastern side, in a wing which oversees the sea. Beneath the walls of the Estate, the Borneo sea are battering the cliffs and in a small fjord, golden sands are glistening.
Oreste looked at Sarah "Welcome Home" he said and could feel again his heart beating "Am I falling in love?"
“I’d like to think that I’m special but I’m guessing that you treat all of your dignitaries like this. Now about that massage....”
"No, I do not. My dignitaries were mostly male and pretty stiff. But must say, you are special. Special to me at least." continued with a blush. "As for the massage, well, we must first see how the beach is and if I recall correctly there should be some massage tables from before." he continued while he he showed her the flat. "This is your apartment now. Used to be mine but you deserve the best. I will use the barracks as I used to when I was in the CGF. " he continue showing her the bedroom and the rest of the flat. It looks modern and new. "Seems they done a good job repairing. But is yours now. Athena, this is Oreste. I am authorizing Commander Sarah as primary tenant for Flat 7. Code ATRORE-1. I will let you now to get ready, your luggage will be arriving soon from the Gemini. Meanwhile, you can use some clothing from the wardrobe."
He got ready to leave the flat and then he came back, laughing "And No, I am not wearing women clothes, just that the wardrobe that we call it, can create anything you ask him for.... clothing only. The process is complicated, but will explain it sometime"
She snickered when Oreste came out of the wardrobe. She nodded as she smiled, “that’s nice but there’s nothing like being able to go out, shop and try things on.” It was at this point that her tone changed as the commands were now hers.
“This isn’t right,” she began, “you giving up your home to me for a barracks room. I’m on assignment here even if it will be long term but for you to give this up and take a barrack is....well....noble but...you don’t have to. I’ll feel guilty. I mean, I wouldn’t do it.”
She turned and looked out the window. It truly was beautiful. The beaches, the oceans, they were awe inspiring. “It’s like Baden Baden back home,” she commented as she looked out the window. Oreste’s gesture of giving up his home only made her respect him more. “If ever you want this back, just say the word.”

Oreste smiled "Remember that I am first and foremost a Soldier, even if I chose to be a Doctor, I am still a Soldier. And don't worry you deserve the best, an army bunk will be good for me. Maybe this will be your home if you wishes to establish in this region of space."
Hearing the remark of a market "I am afraid that is not really possible in the Republic. Most of the personal goods are done on order and they are completed either by robots or humans. The Distribution Hub is usually the equivalent of the market as you know but prepare to meet more automation then you think of. Anyway, get ready and meet you down the beach in 1 hour? I will go and visit the Library for something. You will like it."
She nodded her agreement on the beach proposal and Oreste left for the library. It was her first time alone amongst the Crayterians. She again stared out the window at the water crashing on the beach. Then she went over and layed on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. For the moment, she was scared....alone in a strange, hostile land. She softly cried as she wondered what she had gotten into. Still, she kept in mind that she was being entrusted with a big job and she didn’t want to disappoint. Collecting herself, she got back up and started thinking of her beach meeting.
First she sent a message to her ship for her wardrobe. At least then she would have some things that she knew. Then she removed her dress and hung it up before taking a look at this replication system. Thinking conservative, she found herself in a one piece suit that was a perfect fit....red with yellow stripes that started narrow at the waist, curving and widening at the chest. She liked it and posed for a moment in it. It did her curves Justice. She then let her hair down, grabbed a towel and headed for the beach.

Down on a beach, the sea of Wambo was battering the shores, but with all the fury of Nature at full dusplay, they water was warm.
Oreste looked at the sea and he could feel a storm was brooming, a storm that was ussual to the Tropical regions of Borneo.
But was not his only storm. What started as a project for the Republic now found him torn between duty and his attraction towards Sarah. He could feel a storm inside him, wanting to have her and not to worry about war or anything else.
"If only was possible" he mutters and he grabs the datapads with numbers and protocols which him and Sarah had to go over.
"If only we could have used this time in a different way, not planning".
The semiprotocolar uniform he found at the Barracks reminded him of his duties while his heart was beating faster at the sight of Sarah "Gods, she is gorgeous" he whispered to himself and he waited for her to reach him
"Greetings Commander and welcome. I must say, you look amazing. The man who will win his heart will be the most luckiest person in the whole of Sirius. I envy him. But while we relax, I have here some datapads we should look over. Is mostly numbers regarding the field hospital but also tech to train the new surgeons. While you have a look over it, I will make us some drinks, and we should find a best way to fast forward the training, o said once in the University that holographic simulations are the best with a programmed AI to make it interactive. But have a rest and take your time." he said encouraging Sarah to sit on the chair "Have you ever had a Sol Martini? We have the receipe from the times out ships departed Sol. Want to try?" he continued ready to do anything to keep him occuppied and not to reveal his feelings.
When he held out the datapads for her to look at, she just smirked at him as she took them. It was if she had found some confidence.
"Let's see what you have for me here," she quipped, taking the chair that was offered. She just settled into it and got comfortable before looking at his uniform, then looking at what she was in and then his uniform again.
"Tell me, do you ever loosen up at all or do you always dress in duty uniform?" After her tease, she just smiled and got comfortable in her chair.
"Have you ever had a Sol Martini? We have the receipe from the times out ships departed Sol. Want to try?"
"It sounds delicious," she answered, "I'd love one." She then started reading the datapads.
She read through the data. Supply numbers, personnel requirements, base building materials, pharmaceuticals, it was all there and in large numbers.
"You weren't kidding," she said as she read, "I hope you have a good supply chain because about the only thing that Med Force Enterprises can supply with efficiency is personnel, hence why my ship got recalled." She then looked up at Oreste from where she was laying, "Not to be a pain but has anyone found a way to deal with the transponder issues? Sure, I can go to that cesspool called Barrier Gate Station and take some bribe but it would screw up everything else and Doc already said no to it. I only bug because it would help."
Then she thought a moment. Whatever she thought turned out to be, in her mind, not a good idea so she just shook her head and kept reading the datapads. "So far, I like your plan. I am curious though who the overall head of the project is. Is it the Colonial military? A chief medical officer somewhere? I mean, I can do a lot of things but a doctor I am not and it will be the physicians who will know how they need things built and set up."
She put the datapads down and stretched herself a bit. "It's rather nice out here."

Smilling and looking at his uniform, Oreste replied "Is been so long since I last been off duty, that my uniform became my second skin. Always on duty. War is around us. But I can try, just let me order the drinks"
Heading towards the small storage unit, he input his command "Two Sol-Martini, extra dry, one green olive" and with the command finished he took off his jacket, letting some scars been seen. Stretching his arms, Oreste enjoyed the sun "Exact what the doctor ordered" and the machine beeped, announcing that his drinks were ready. Grabbing them he returned to Sarah.
"Here it is Sarah. Doctor Umeda will be in charge and after that the local physician, but I think we need to rethink the chain of command. The Marshall is saying that he wants the medics to be combat ready and a valuable soldier. I think the only way to achieve that would be to actually combine the AIT training with the medical classes. But our training is harsh and makes our soldiers tough and almost inhumane. How can a medic be both?"
"Is been so long since I last been off duty, that my uniform became my second skin. Always on duty. War is around us. But I can try, just let me order the drinks"
She let out a soft giggle, "You should try it sometime." She motioned to herself in her swimwear. "I'm still working but I can relax a bit at the same time. All work and no relax is......unhealthy."
With that, she let him order the drinks.
She accepted the drink with a "thank you" when he returned. "I see you removed your jacket. Well, that's a start." Then she noticed the scars and her face dropped a bit. Setting her drink down on the edge of her chair, she stood up and looked at them.
"I'm no doctor but those looked to have been painful," she commented. "So are these why you keep them covered?" She gave a shake of her head, "There is no shame in them. They are you." She then sighed. "I, luckily, have none to worry about."
She took a sip of her drink and the smile returned. "This is very good. Perfect." She then stretched out back into her chair and began reviewing datapads and discussing crew training.
"The medical crews provided have basic marksmanship skills. They qualify twice a year on a targeting range and are put through a combat simulator as defenders on a base. Also, they received hand to hand combat training and trust me when I say that a hypo injector can be as equal a weapon as a sidearm with the right medicine in it. I've seen a few enemy soldiers end up in an interrogation room after being knocked out cold by a hypo for twelve hours."
She then took a sip of her martini and continued. "As for me, I received a bit more when I was with the Rheinland Navy. I can fight hand to hand but when you only stand 5'2", well, I don't always do well. I'm not a menacing presence nor am I loaded with muscle."
"I recommend that those crews and even myself get some more tactical training under some of your people. Enough to make them effective in a defensive role. As doctors? We will take care of that."
She took yet another sip of her martini. "My this is good."

"This scars are a reminding of my days of combat. I was a fresh Gunner Officer on Atlantis right after the commission and I was keen to join the war and do my part. Yes, sounds stupid, but you must realize that our nation had survived this years of wars as we all done out duty. I was so happy. Fool." he explained and he seems in a far away universe "We jumped to Tau 44 and we initiated operations along with Hades but Atlantis was caught before the Jump Drive cool down and we prepared for battle. Guns blazing we were waiting for the time to pass so we could jump. A second Valor closed by and they begun their bombardment. It took 25 seconds for my turret to get hit. Luckily, the ship jumped back to Coronado and I was treated on a Hospital Island by Rio. I needed nanite operation and right now I am the crude experiment of how it can be used. And yes, it is painful."
Oreste seems to come back "But then I swear I will save lives and not take them." and looking at Sarah, he just wished the story would not scare her. "Don't worry, the system is secure as it is. " laughing he continued "And I hope you never get a scar, or be in danger. If that so, would lay down my life before any harm can come to you."
Sipping his martini, Oreste listened to Sarah talking about the training "All is good, but Crayterian gear is strange and new to alot of people and we want our medics to be able to work under pressure on the battlefield, no matter how the fight is going but at the same time they should be ready to do their part. Part of the team."
Sitting on the chairs near Sarah, he once again admire her stature but he remembered that he must do his duty first. "Duncan wishes to make here on Borneo a small Ground Forces training school combined with the Medical facilities. Duncan would want the Medics to be trained as a CGF Soldier and afterwards as a Medic. Thus creating a new weapon in our army." he continued and gave another datapad with training sessions and requirements "As you can see, the training of becoming a CGF is pretty hard, but at the end the soldiers are perfectly trained to fight. Obedient and able to assert command if needed. Maybe we can find a way to create a Doctrine which will combined the both and make sure that they are reliable in combat situations ?"
With a smile "The Republic would want our own Medics asap. Don't get me wrong, I don't want you to go at all. I wish you could stay here even after the project is over. Or as much as possible."
"Rest assured that the people that I have provided are already top notch medical personnel," she answered. "They will fight if they have to but remember, they have taken the Zoner way of life so it's not their first choice. I know this, if they are under threat or the person they're caring for, they will take that person's life into their own responsibility. They also take the oath they have pledged seriously. They will take the person most in need first, even if it is that of the enemy. Some have an issue with that but from a military standpoint, those saved enemies often yield good intelligence."
She sipped her martini, "the equipment we have provided is new. Med Force Enterprises recently developed new equipment in collaboration with an old friend so the Republic has an opportunity to find out first hand how good it works. In time, perhaps it can be improved here."
She thought about the story he told of his combat where he received the wounds. She had known of many who wore their scars to serve as a reminder, a badge of honor if you will. Still, the very thought of it bothered her.
"If ever you want to have those scars removed, I can arrange it." She then continued, "I'm not a vain person but I prefer not to have them if at all possible. I suppose however that some find them to be attractive as say, a tattoo in a small way."
