Both the Montante and the Tridente suffer from resembling oversized fighters and always look worse for it- part of it is the "cockpit" design of the command-center rather than a far better looking bridge design. These are gunships; light capital vessels built for the purposes of patrolling and escort- not fighters that ate too much cake. To that end, the far more gunship-style designed Bident gets my vote, though the giant axe-blade on the front that serves no purpose should probably be scaled down a bit.
Also: the opening at the prow of the Bident seems to make it resemble it's namesake, kudos points for that. Possible space for a forward gun maybe? Half the gunboats in the game have them so why the hell not?
Edit: changed some words for clarity.

I can not vote. None of those look even quarter as good as the Tridente that is already in the game. Why not just give Tridente (after small facelift) as Border World gunship while making OC's trully quality gunboat in line of Rapier and Storta in terms of style and design?
I'm not a great fan of either. The Sabre-derivative is too much like an upscaled fighter, what with being a Sabre derivative and all that, and I dislike hollow bits on ships to begin with, while the Bident-type's axe head feels wildly out of place.
Of course, I also think the Tridente is a bad design and I'm not a big fan of the Montante either.
I think the front of the Bidente would actually look more balanced with three fins instead of two. The current single fin on the underside looks cool but there something not quite right about it.
Anyway, 'amazing' artistry in the attachment, more or less inspired by the front of the Ranseur, to illustrate what I mean:
