The Apostatas is a progressive faction that wants to modernize the Corsairs. This includes but is not limited to gaining knowledge, development and social growth. They believe this can only be done by breaking away from a criminal life and gaining support from Lawful and Quasilawful Organizations. Apostatas believe themselves to be more Civilized and better composed then their Corsairs counterparts. Pilot carrying this ID is a member of the Corsairs, who:
-Can attack any ship in self-defense or to protect an allied or friendly ship anywhere
-Can attack any ship which belong to a house or organisation considered hostile by Apostatas within their Zone of Influence.
-Can treat ships carrying Blood Diamonds, Slaves and Cardamine as combat targets.
-Cannot take any ship larger then a Gunboat into non-hostile house core space.
-Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.
-Zone of Influence: Kusari, Omegas, Sigmas, Omicrons, Munich, Frankfurt
But as we can see here someone of you using Freelancer ID. Does your Faction info said that you are Corsairs? As I remember well, there you have ships with Corsair ID, now you have ships with Freelancer ID, how one faction can use 2 ID's? It's only a question, so I interesting how you explain it.

Although I am not the member of the faction, but am in tight contact with them. The change of ID was basically forced by the community, most especially by other Corsairs. probably, the guys haven't yet updated the info of the faction. Search the forum - you for sure will find the topic on the issue.

This information about the ID change was announced on the last post of the faction information page.
We received unanimous feedback from a large portion of the corsair community to swap to a Freelancer ID from the Generic Corsair ID. This was suggested so as to better represent our exiled status.
No doubt, we of the Apostatas are still very much corsairs and this ID switch does not change that.
To address your last point,
As of 07-26-2018, all Apostatas ships have been recalled and refitted with the Freelancer ID. Hence we retain the usage of only one ID.
Although, I do sincerely apologize for not posting on this feedback thread about the ID change.
If you have any more questions, I will only be too glad to answer them and as always, thank you for your feedback.
As an ex-member having seen this faction working from the inside and out, I can provide the following feedback:
Overall Impression: Positive
Short summary:
If you want to role play an Hispanic character but don't like the drug addicted Outcasts or the criminal Corsairs, this faction may be for you.
If you want to role play as a civilized, educated and progressive Corsair, this faction is definitely for you.
Is this faction newbie friendly? Yes. -The members are welcoming and eager to help out new people.
Is this faction good for vets?Yes. -It has a very intricate diplomacy and story line.
Overal aheavy RP faction with a moderate chance for PVP encounters.
Long summary:
Positive feedback: This faction offers an unique take on the Corsairs, focusing more on the population as it is behind the scenes; aka the Corsairs who have no interest in going to war with the rest of the Colonies and think that there are better ways to make money and improve the overall standards of living than through piracy.
The faction offers some original ideas and interesting diplomacy chart.
Resilient faction with dedicated members who managed to pull through ooRP grievances, saltiness and sabotage that every start up faction has to deal with and turned this into a success.
Negative feedback: Organization for group activities within the faction felt lacking for me personally, It happened often for me that I took time off other activities so I can be available to log and partake in faction activities ingame that were planned on discord only for these activities to be delayed or canceled all together.
Other times players logged and coordinated something ingame and I only found out about it an hour after it ended because this was not mentioned in the Discord channels.
And when something was planned and I participated, sometimes it happened that players went off to do their own things instead of sticking to what was planned and this resulted in chaos.
