The war which started with the NEMP strike on Pacifica is at a crossroads now.
One route leads to total war, with more factions joining in and seemingly no viable end to it.
The other route leads to peace and de-escalation.
Yesterday the Lane Hackers attended a meeting with the Unioners' Direktorship and Gaian Guard's Atacama Cohort. Many war plans were discussed and many solutions were proposed. In the end the Lane Hacker offer for peace prevailed and was agreed upon by all parties.
Make no mistake, this is the Final Peace Offer. If it fails then this war will spiral out of control, involving more and more factions and incurring unimaginable bloodshed. After their recent diplomatic victories, according to our best estimations, we expect the Unioner Coalition to emerge as the pyrrhic victors from a total war scenario.
Withour further ado, here is the offer:
Peace Terms
The Unioners & Gaian Guard - Battlegroup Harmony
1. The Unioners and Gaians will not demand war reparations from Battlegroup Harmony.
1. Battlegroup Harmony will not demand war reparations from the Unioners or Gaians.
2. The Unioners will immediately fulfill their agreement and hand over the newly-constructed Hel cruiser to Battlegroup Harmony.
2. Battlegroup Harmony will cease all current and future cooperation with the Hellfire Legion. This includes both civilian and military cooperation. Harmony will also cease all communications with the Legion.
3. The Unioners will cede the eastern portion of Bering system to Battlegroup Harmony. The two territories will be separated between the D and E axis.[see attachment]
3. Battlegroup Harmony will restore all the permissions and law exceptions to the Gaians.
4. The Unioners will immediately provide the monthly material assistance for August to Battlegroup Harmony. Exact quantities and type of materials will be determined by the Battlegroup.
These terms were obtained from the Unioners and Gaians after tough and lengthy negotiations. The main problem was the lack of trust that Harmony would honor any treaty and not return to hostilities once the cruiser is in their possession. If Battlegroup Harmony has been truthful of their motives which lead them to this NEMP strike, then there are no reasons why they will refuse this generous peace offer.
Admiral Knight, I trust you will make the correct decision.
