Esteemed members of the War Cabinet,

Recently, during a joint operation of the SIS and the Merchant Navy, uniformed Bretonian forces have come under attack by ships of a group known as the Liberty Separatists.
Upon entering the Texas system the convoy was met by a Battlecruiser class vessel bearing the markers of the separatist cell called Battlegroup Harmony.
Once the captains, as per issued order to protect civilian traffic, announced their presence and entrance into the lane network, the Battlecruisers captain demanded them to cease communication.
As the captains refused to do so and carried on with their work, said Battlecruiser first announced to open fire, shortly after demanding credits for safe passage, wich was obviously denied, whereafter it opened fire on the escort of the convoy, the HMS Golden Gate.
Gladly the captain of the Golden Gate was able to hold up the enemy, allowing the convoy to carry on and sucessfully end its run, while getting out unharmed afterwards.
He reported that another Battlecruiser class joined the chase for him later on, wich leads to the assumption the Battlecruisers captain was not just acting rogue.
I hope you see the need for a political reaction, considering the unprovoced attack on Bretonian citizens. The report of the incident is attacked below.

##1

yours sincerely
Sir Jacob McIntire
