Haven’t seen a thread game about what you learned playing Disco that has been translated to your own real life tasks. (If there is one, oops, my bad)
I learned from sanctionlancing to take photos/screenshots of everything. As a result I now get desired results when filing grievances against large national companies. And I’m good at it.
Disco also taught me how to RL [*USI*], now manage a trucking business.
Disco taught me what a lovely thing therapy can be. It was a direct result of my first few years on Discovery that I said "I need to get help" and sought therapy. I'm half as angry as I used to be on average and nowhere near as bad at peak disgruntlement.
I'd like to say Discovery helped me with my career, but for the most part going from playing a pirate lord to working at a network/systems VAR doesn't really translate. Unless you're in sales.
