Mi chuckled and splashed water back at Meg. She was right, no need to think about business now. Time to relax more! "Let's just enjoy this evening for now, hai. Everything else can wait." She winked at Megaera and wrapped one arm around her. "Hey.. thanks. It's nice to be here, glad we met."
"I wonder about one thing. The Takatea is more disturbed by the high pitched scheeching of the dino shrimps, than the dino shrimps themselves. Remember that it only started running after I made a loud noise? They don't seem to be interested in it."
Mi looked thoughtful for a bit! "Guess it just has sensitive hearing." She smiled then though, briefly looking over the lake. "Well.. maybe I am, who knows? I am honest though."
"Alright here is my plan. We drop the beacon somewhere remotely and use it as a decoy to lure the shrimps towards it. Afterwards we head back to the teaspot. We fill 6 more cannisters with those plants. We drop those off at the ship and investigate the mudhill in the north.
I also need to look for my blue phainolis flowers. They are supposed to be luminescant at nighttime according to the texts."
A scheech could be heard coming from the cargo bay. Meg looked at her ship and back at Mi
"Sounds like a good plan. Maybe we should search for that flower later already? I am.. quite tired but I wouldn't mind it. Maybe that Shrimps sleep by then too, would be nice." She followed Meg's view back to the ship, she almost forgot about the one they caught earlier. "To be honest, I am really not sure who would want to study this.. thing. Maybe bring it to Golanski afterall?"
Megaera stood up from the water walked back to the ship while checking her messages.
"It seems like another conflict is brewing. It is funny you mentioned being close friends with Bretonia since I am pretty much put on the other side of the playing board right now. There will be summit that could be interesting. I transfered the info to Golanski to see what he thinks of this."
She grabbed a towel from the wing of the sichel and started drying her hair.
"I kinda dislike all these issues while I am on my vacation. IRG shooting allies, Bretonia invading Omega-49. None of these are things I can appreciate."
Megaera stood still and just stared at a tree for a moment. Afterwards she started unloading some of the vital supplies such as food off her ship.
"I decided to go to the Zoner summit, even though Golly did not reply to me yet. I take it you will be fine on your own for a few days right?"
She handed her automatic rifle to Mi and gave her a light kiss on her forehead.
"Do not worry. I will be back soon enough. When the dino shrimps attack, just use armor piercing bullets."
With this she entered the sichel and seconds later the door closed shut. She put her katana in its holder and and booted up her engines. The sichel took off and the sand scattered below it, leaving Mi behind on the planet as Megaera activated the cloaking device.
"If you really have to. Just make sure you return within a few days, got it?" Mi felt uncomfortable with this decision. Now she was alone on a wild Planet, the next humans possibly several hundred kilometers if not more away from her. She also noticed that her handheld comm device was still on the Sichel!
Mi had no choice but to accept her situation, she settled on building her new camp inside the wreck of her Bayonet.
The next two hours were spent uncovering the wreck, moving the supplies Meg left her behind to the wreck and having herself a somewhat comfy place there.
A comfy place lacking a bed. Mi sighed and tried her best to built herself one from seat parts and leaves. Satisfied with it she wanted to take a nap but she didn't even close her eyes as she heard a sound from outside. She went to check it, the rifle in her hands. It was the Takatea, it followed her here! "Oh.. hey.. want to keep company with me?" She gently patted it and sighed. "Guess you want a place to sleep at too?" The Takatea didn't react at all. No wonder, Mi shook her head. Why was she already talking to an animal?
Mi decided it was best to go sleep for now, the Takatea would surely wake her up in case of a Dino Shrimp appearing...
"Alone on Gaia. Tomorrow it will have been a week."
Mi sighed and shook her head, looking up to the sky, enjoying the sight. The last days have been exciting but also tiring. She took out the notepad she found in her shipwreck, wondering if she should write down everything she did ever since Megaera left. She settled to do it the next day...
Mi was sitting in front of the Bayonet wreck which served as her home for 7 days now. She was tired and just relaxed, enjoying the sky of Gaia while reading her diary entries:
Day 1
"Today wasn't all too exciting. The Takatea was moving around the wreck for a bit and found a nearby source of tea plants, filled some of the containers with them, I guess this were the same ones Megaera and me collected before. Went for another swimming session in the lake later, not more to say."
Day 2
"Hm, yeah, today was a bit more exciting. Atleast a bit. A Dino Shrimp woke me up, stupid things, had to shoot it. Almost scared the Takatea away, good thing I managed to calm it down. Went for a little expedition later on. Will sleep this night away from the camp, found something interesting not all to far away."
Day 3
"I just thought this were strange rock formations, wrong guess. Seems like this are ruins but I have no clue from whom. Looks a bit odd, maybe from settlers long ago? Anyway, time to head in there!"
Day 4 --- Error: File corrupted
Day 5
"Finally found my way out of this mess. Seems this was a complex once, probably researching lifeforms here? Could not enter half of the sections, doors would not open. Not even the rifle helped lots, might tell Megaera once she is back. Oh, got lost in there too. Good thing I got out there, I am hungry. Where was my camp now again?"
Day 6
"Arrived at nighttime at the camp, ate something. Takatea was at the lake, taking a bath, should go to sleep. -- Went to sleep, good thing Megaera left so much food here though I don't think it will last for more than 3 additional days, maybe I should try to hunt. Who knows when she comes back."
Day 7
"Okay, evening of day 7 now. Where is Megaera? Slowly I start to worry, maybe she forgot about me and I am stuck here. Stuck on this damn lonely Planet.. I miss Ainu. Good thing I do not need Cardamine. Will go hunt, hopefully Dino Shrimps are edible, or maybe I find something else. Will try out the tea plants later too, I guess."
