my name is Abigail Ryan and I am authorized to respond to you in the Captain's absence. I am the acting counselor of the Apahanta and have been working on Ms. Sweetwater's case for months now in tight cooperation with Dr. Adrianna Carr, our chief medical officer, and Captain Vertiga.
The circumstances have changed drastically since your last conversation with the Captain, and at this point, despite our best efforts to prevent any further damage, Ms. Sweetwaters memory was lost once again, basically because of Ms. Silver's radical methods.
We are not sure how much of her memory is still left, but she does not remember you, nor did she remember anything of the approximately last ten years. Against Ms. Silver's plan to abandon Ms. Sweetwater on Nauru, Captain Vertiga, Dr. Carr and myself have decided to keep her on the Apahanta as we believe we have found a way to finally solve her physical damage. In order to do so, we need more time and it is likely that Dr. Carr is currently the most qualified person in Sirius to perform this treatment on her.
For the time being, we cannot allow you to have any contact with Ms. Sweetwater as confronting her with the heartbreaking dilemma she had to deal with - deciding between living with you and not being able to be with her friends anymore or being with her friends but not being able to see you again - is most likely to cause severe stress to her, and as we figured out, anything related to stress can cause another, possibly even worse damage to her brain. To have you understand this better: In the worst cases, this could lead to a total loss of particular brain functions. She could either turn into a mindless doll, not being able to save any memory, or no longer being able to perceive anything, effectively reducing her functions to existing-only, or in the worst case, instant death.
We cannot risk that to happen, and I hope you understand this. The Captain agreed on us being allowed to send you updates on her status, however you will not be able to send her any messages or to see her in person. Her neural net accounts are currently blocked.

This is getting a little drawn out now. I can only imagine what you're telling her, skipping me in a wide arc and avoiding. You have said yourself that if I survive Silver I can pick her up, and I hope you are a man of your word. I can't say I didn't struggle with making this decision, but I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Nancy is no longer on the Apahanta as we found a better place for her to stay while remaining in reliable hands. Since the most recent memory loss induced by Silver, which never came as close to a total memory loss so far, we haven't told her a single bit of you. I believe this is in your favor, given what you did in the past, and how negatively it impacted on her.
She is now living in a healthcare center in a secure place. Good, qualified people are taking care of her and she will receive a constant supply of the pharmacy she requires. This medicament is currently synthesized on my ship and will get delivered to the healthcare institute every time it is logistically convenient. At this point, the institute can't synthesize the medicament themselves as they lack the tools and materials for that. Other than the Apahanta, they aren't equipped with the best equipment of IRG and APM.
As I said, I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. I will give you the name and the location of the institute, if you agree to a set of conditions that aim for ensuring Nancy's wellbeing.
- Nancy is bound to the location as otherwise she won't be able to receive her medical treatment. Do not take her away from there.
- Whenever confronted with the past, her mental stability becomes worse and worse. Do not introduce yourself as a friend of the past. She will start asking questions and become more unstable very fast. Try to be "just a new person".
- Listen to the advice of the people treating her. They know what to do way better than you or me.
I believe it is self-evident, but should you cause harm to her in any way or fail to meet the conditions at all times, neither the lawfuls nor the unlawfuls of Sirius and Gallia will give you any rest.
I don't know what you might think I've done but know that the only reason her and I weren't able to have a stable relationship is because you had to keep messing with it. Even now you will limit my abilities to see her and spend my time with her, but you already know I have no choice but to accept if I wish to see her again.

The only reason why you didn't get to have a stable relationship with her was because she had a relationship with another man, which you destabilized. Not that that was the only relationship you put at risk.
You will find Nancy in the Winston Healthcare Home on Planet Erie, not far from the capital. Go there unarmed, they won't allow armed people in there. There is also no landing pad for ships, so you will need to take a hovercab from the spaceport to reach the institute. She goes by her new name, Rebecca Edwards. Don't call her Nancy, not a single time. Call her Rebecca or Becky. And don't ask her about her family or her background.
