I managed to discover Rheinland Military possibly scouting out Bering, although that one got chased out by the local pirates. For some reason, this particular Unioner was angry enough to spill an interesting piece of information. I retreated without them noticing, as their 'friends' were coming. I failed to see any gun fire exchanging between them when I returned to take a glance at them. I noted the Gunboat and Military fighters lingering around the Hamburg hole without hostilities, but regardless, their angry gloating could be a possibility when it comes to 'friends in high places'.
It may be worth investigating, honorable Hessians. Is there any way we can assist you? We have had previous information that Unioners were interested in the Kansas system - a sector where we have colonies. We would like to continue to remind them of their faults for declaring war against the Technocracy and keep them away. Preferably permanently.
This evidence has been forwarded to me following it's status and sensitivity. This has been forwarded directly to the Generalmajor and Oberkommando heads. Rest assured you have outdone yourselves, and this will cost the Unioners and the Bundestag a great deal. This evidence goes in sync with a report from another agent operating in Hamburg. He was attacked by the combined fighter wings of the Unioners and Rheinland Military.
The Spezialoperationsabteilung and the Volksrevolution would like to request that you keep an eye on their movements as well. Hamburg was just the beginning, plans are being set in motion to ensure the traitors burn with their Imperial lovers. Tactical holdings, diplomatic relations, anything you have on this group towards this group would prove vital in our efforts to make them suffer even more. We have plans to destroy another one of their suspected holdings closer to our home systems.

Agent "Vikingur",
I'm interested in procuring whatever tactical information you can provide on their movement. Compositions, tactics, commanders, vessels of note - all necessary details to conduct an evaluation for further involvement. I've reached out to multiple sources to gather what we can through our contacts, as well as operatives and locals stationed in the region.
At the same time should we uncover anything that might not be included in your intelligence, we'd be happy to provide it. Having this flow of information will greatly benefit the efforts of both the Hessians and Covenant, especially when dealing with a mutual problem like the Unioners. We can best coordinate our efforts with a full view of their capabilities across the board.
In terms of installations from a Logistics perspective, we know for certain they have a shipyard in the Colonge system located in the Norddrauwolke nebula at sector 3E. The station was previously boarded by SOA ground personnel before we proceeded to kill every Corsair inhabitant on the station. At the time it was to send a message - one that they clearly didn't learn from.
Another suspected asset is located in the system you may know as Omega-54 - one of our core systems. In the Schutznebel cloud just a few K north (from a map perspective) of Wolfsburg. Defensive positions in Omega-54 are being maintained to a high degree but we are unable to commit more assets with the situation brewing in Omega-47. Plans are being set in motion to deal with this asset once heavier fleet assets arrive on scene.
In terms of space and ground combatant capabilities the Union is an embarrassment to the standard they claim to hold themselves to. With the attack on Wedel being the most notable, every engagement between Unioner and Hessian personnel (even now with the indirect support of the Military) has amounted to nothing but Unioner casualties. SLF vessels are painted out to be something above the average Union pilot but aren't really even worth noting.
A special vessel thus far that we have taken serious note of was this vessel uncovered in Munich coming to the aid of Rheinland Military vessels.
This is what we can provide at the moment. The Union is a great concern and a serious issue the Hessen people intend to give revenge. Your cooperation and loyalty has been noted by several in the Oberkommando including the Generalmajor. If you can spare vessels, the effort, and hold true to your words against the Union, you may very well find yourselves open to cooperative military operations. Our pilots have earned a reputation in recent years of making masses of enemies flee at the mere sight of us on their scanners. You will find cooperation with us to be rewarding if you opt to do so.
Your intelligence has been added to our database. For now, I have some news.
We've recently authorized an operation with the use of hand-picked contractors and associates to create a diversion in the Southern Independent Worlds, focused on our mutual friends in the Union. Unfortunately the situation in our neck of the woods still has us occupied, and thus we cannot divert more than a Special Operations team to monitor and hinder the after-effects of the surgical strike by that which we've dubbed Red Squad. The operation details will be included in this transmission.
OPERATION BABYLON
Time and Date: 1530 Standard Sirian Time, 5.12.826
Location: Bering System for Phase 1 and 2, Hudson for Phase 3
SITUATION
Unioner activity in Rheinland and beyond has elevated to a level that cannot be ignored. Recently, they have attacked Covenant assets passing through the sector with assistance from Rheinland Military forces. Due to pressing circumstances closer to the homefront, our hand has been forced. The threat must be contained and preoccupied while we deal with enemies elsewhere. The Inner Phalanx, requiring absolute discretion and speed in this matter, has elected to enlist our top Affiliates to form Red Squad and conduct a surgical strike against one of their largest strongholds. Resistance in the Bering system is likely to be heavy, and may consist of Unioner forces supported by Rheinland Military units.
MISSION
BLUFOR, consisting of Red Squad and support elements, will launch a tactical nuclear strike against Pacifica Base and engage any Unioner elements that sortie out to defend. Upon dealing or receiving sufficient damage, BLUFOR is to withdraw and avoid capture that may lead to evidence of Auxesia involvement.
EXECUTION
Phase 1: At 1530 SST, Red Squad will meet at RV Sundown. Following RV, Red Squad is to initiate radio silence and perform a gravity assist/slingshot maneuver around Bering's sun to get as close as possible to Pacifica without drawing attention. Upon reaching a distance of 15 kilometers from Pacifica, Big Red will halt and remain idle while fighter assets continue moving in. At the discretion of Red Leader, the Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse (NEMP) warhead-mounted missile aboard his Roc will be launched at Pacifica Base. Following the launch, fighters are to retreat to a minimum safe distance of 10 kilometers from the blast.
Phase 2: Upon confirmed detonation of NEMP warhead, Red Squad is to move in to survey damage. Big Red will engage in close to medium range bombardment of surviving Unioner assets. After sufficient damage has been done, Red Squad will engage in a fighting retreat towards the Hudson jump hole, inflicting as much damage as possible to any responding Unioner forces.
Phase 3: Upon entering Hudson and dispelling all pursuing OPFOR units through means of destruction or evasion, Red Squad will RV with the ACV Temple of Auge for exfiltration via jump drive back to Inverness.

It's advised the Hessians take advantage of this distraction and monitor the other corridors of Rheinland in the event the enemy attempts to flee in your general direction. Our hunting parties will do what damage is possible in the meantime.

Keeper,
This has caught my attention. This has left a very positive impression with the people of the Volksrevolution. I advise you make this public sooner than later. The Volksrevolution will take what opportunities it can to undermine these traitors.
Please do make use of the vessels we sent you, I'd imagine it's a bit of an embarrassment to see your "claimed" hardware shooting you.
Signed, Generalmajor

On the topic of publicity, the situation has already attracted the attention of both Liberty and Rheinland with the Buro agents seen above participating in engagements against the Unioners, and in some instances the Liberty Security Force and Navy throw their vessels in with ours. The unexpected support is owed to the Union's poor diplomatic ability. However even degenerates have friends, and the Liberty Rogues have decided to throw their lot in with them.
This operation is intended to accomplish a variety of things, ranging from sending a message to collecting resources and basic field testing. Insofar the Union has made very little attempts to bring support from Rheinland and is apparently reliant on third party suppliers to deliver the necessary repair components to their station. We've sent out the Wolf Pack and deployed both Cruisers on blockade and interdiction duties, as well as collection efforts for components and other parts deemed salvageable.
A detailed after-action report will be available once the operation has concluded. It'll be sent to you should you wish to read it.

Keeper,
Send me the report when it's ready. We'll make use of it to coordinate our next attack on the Unioners. It is imperative we keep up the pressure now. If the Unioners continue to break under repeated attacks they will be forced to relocate completely to Bering. Assuming they do this, other entities in Liberty and Rheinland will solve the issue for us. If the Rheinland Military's intentions with the Union are true, this may solve two issues at once.
Signed, Generalmajor

I do apologise, but our squadron must pull back to the Inverness sector due to other growing concerns, such as the Bretonians hostilities against us.
Our people have successfully completed a tour in the Bering system against Unioner assets in, accomplishing the task of drawing our their assets and destroying some of their vessels. Fortunately, our cruiser assets were not required /all/ the time due to the natural environment of Bering. Although the Unioners did favour the tactic of overwhelming force, a rather wasteful use of their resources. They are scared, they are panicked, they are desperate. Their comforting lies to make their people feel better - display that. Small depictions of what they call victory is but a facade of their errors. It is to be noted that several organisations such as the Gaians, Rogues, Independent Lane Hackers, Junkers, Hogosha, came in to assist them. They cannot thrive alone. We can forward the names of those who have assisted them in their endeavours. We can get a full list of those, but these are some of the immediate names that appear at the top of our data banks.
I must note, there were several occassions of Rheinland Military assets scouting the area and even outright observing a fight on the Hudson border, Unioners against Libertonian Forces, sitting there with war vessels. They did not engage the Unioner assets, they even attempted to order the BDM assets to not engage against the Unioners. Regardless, here are some of the assets our people have reported encountering.
