As was negotiated with Commodore Redmond and commander of all BAF forces in New Holland system, Universal Shipping has initiated the classified PROJECT ILLUSTRIOUS.
For those who are not familiar with it, here is the analysis of Major Rodey, a subordinate of the Commodore and author of the project.
Gran Canaria Tactical Analysis No 4031/826 Wrote:Under PROJECT ILLUSTRIOUS, the Armed Forces are going to receive large numbers of planetary military hardware for the purposes of fortifying Gran Canaria in the event of a major Corsair or Coalition invasion of the planet. Considering the recent occupation of the planet any would-be invader is expected to rely on the assistance of disaffected citizens of Gran Canaria who will provide intelligence or compromise the defense efforts from within. Subsequently this project will remain secret for the purposes of building up BAF's defense capabilities of Gran Canaria without knowledge of Bretonia's enemies.
In order to avoid suspicion, the transports should deliver the unmarked containers through civilian terminals and customs, which will then be picked up by BAF or SIS personnel. To avoid further suspicion and possible spying activities, no Merchant Navy or Bretonian transports are to be involved with the shipping. Universal Shipping, well acquainted after centuries of transporting the restricted Ageira White Boxes, is thus considered as the best choice overall especially considering that the military hardware will come directly from Liberty's factories. They also have for years an active Military Materials License.
The following are some of the major equipment that were selected by the New Holland BAF Command for the defense of the planet. Needless to say, Liberty has historically been the best mass-producer of planetary military hardware in Sirius and this equipment is by far more superior and advanced than anything the Corsairs or Coalition can deploy.

I confirm the contents of the agreement, with the power vested in me as commander of the Gran Canaria garrison and Stirling fleet.
I would also like to express gratitude on behalf of the admiralty and the Kingdom for your highly generous terms, and willingness to venture into what is a high-security risk system to deliver war materials to fortify us against potential threats to the Omega 49 system. Especially considering the occasional (but not official) complaint by some members of the Liberty government in regards to Bretonia actions within Gran Canaria against the Zoner populace.
I would like to express that the armaments supplied are of a purely defensive nature, and will not be used offensively unless our security is threatened explicitly.
Regards,
Commodore John Redmond

I must say, with the exception of an incident involving Bretonian Bureaucracy, the contract was completed with the utmost speed. I pity any one who is willing to attempt to wrestle the planet from our grips in the near future.
I must apologies for an incident involving one of my staff and a tank they were testing, they were a little disoriented by the steering controls being on the wrong side of the tank, and were severely dehydrated and not as sharp as usual without the tea dispenser. We are hard at work resolving the tea situation and getting our men used to the controls. Should be a minor issue.
I can confirm the contract has been completed successfully, and I again relay my gratitude for the work performed.
As for payment, I am of the understanding that, in addition to payment provided by dock-masters on Sydney,
an extra bonus of 500 per unit, multiplied by the 103,580 units delivered, makes for a total payment of £51,790,000.-, in addition, the Admiralty will reimburse USI for the Military Material Licencing, which I believe cost you around £20,000,000.- for a period of 6 months.
Total payment; £71,790,000.-
Please let me know where the payment should be wired to, and of course if I am mistaken and need to be corrected on the amount.

Commodore John Redmond
