Too bad Bretonian factions are not capable of doing something about the event themselves and just paying others to do it. It's a shame that events have to involve some random freelancers.

Bretonia can do something, otherwise they would not fly there. Otherwise, its ID would not be recorded in this event.
Another problem is online and time zones: you play all day, and merchants carry cargo all night. It is useful to make allies who can at night to make intercepts with this traders.
UPD: Well, yes, this is the motivation for the TSS to play.
Haven't seen any bretonian players so far despite trading at different times. Three council ships. Check. Couple Crayter officials. Check. Couple GRI/MRG ships. Check. Traders. Check. Bretonians, nill.
