That's exactly how oppressive governments get power. They keep adding little by little till you have nothing left.
If people want to RP using fuel then that's good. Some people want to use that cargo hold space (You wouldn't store your fuel in your cargo hold if it's constantly in use) for actual goods.
Also some people don't have the time to do that extra run just to pay for the fuel.

I'm still of the opinion that this is a bad idea.

Anyone care to explain to me how exactly this would create a dynamic economy? I would like to see someone write it fully out so instead of just taking the idea of it and saying, "Oh a dynamic economy would be great!" we can actually go through and look at exactly how it would work ingame and see if there are ways lazy people/people who don't like it could circumvent it (which I'm guess there are quite a few). I might have said this earlier, but I think this sounds kind of cool as an idea but putting it into effect would not work.

Also, I don't see how this would make the entire economy dynamic. It might make fuel, but I don't see how the other goods will be affected.

As for the votes. It was discussed that most people don't want it cause no can come up with a way to do it. Too give up on the topic easily.

And the component takes care of the cargo space Issue. For it will not subtract from the cargo hold.

Darkwolf It would create tons of jobs and setup for new RP events. Too...it gives GMG a huge Business boost.

If this becomes a rule ill quit Discovery(Its not a threat, just stating how i feel). I am here to have fun not to be forced to carry a "fuel" item and make sure i have it above 0 at all times. I get that people like RP to be as good as possible, but it goes too far to force people to carry fuel and make sure that they have "enough" for a trip. When RP destroys fun is when its a bad idea, and this would sap the fun out of Discovery and make it a chore.

If I see one more OORP gunboat attack traders then I quit freelancer forever. I shouldn't have to see something I don't want. I don't want to see OORP. But it's there and I have a choice let it ruin my day or work around it.

People are thinking that it requires you to fill up every ten minutes. Trust me it's not going to be so extreme. Unless theres a special fuel for racers...hmm now thats fun.

90% of your post just seems to be making fun of the fact i feel strongly that its a bad idea. Anyway, it doesn't matter how long fuel would last, the point is that you would have to remember to check it every so oftern so that you arn't breaking the rules and then get sanctioned because u forgot to get some fuel and have used cruise/main engines. Even if it was proberly implemented so your cruise/main engines was disabled that would just bring me back to the point about fun. It wouldn't be any fun to have your engines cut out because u run out of fuel. RP isn't ment to bring hassles of Real Life to discovery, its ment to be an "Escape" from real life where u can have fun as a different person.

I am sorry to make it sound that way. In this topic it's black and white. I am here for the topic and not me. I will alter my methods.


With the coded integrated there would be no need for sanctions. Only be cause the object in which to determine whether or not to refuel will be based on your willingness to survive in combat. IE IF you don't refuel your a sitting duck in battle. Impulse won't dodge missiles. So far most of the opposed are fighters.

Trader need more RP jobs and pirates/terrorist need different events. Military needs Actual Limitations to determine who's winning a war.

Edit: Thats the risk you have to take. It would be a real bummer and a blessing for a pirate to run out of fuel while chasing a Trader. Pirate will curse and the Trader would be counting his/her blessings.

edit: If Igiss wants to talk about it YAY! I would love that.

EDIT: What would you do to contribute to RP? (trying to provoke reaction)

If really All that traders can do is buy/sell create companies that handle those sort of thing. But more times then not it's not going anywhere....
