I'm a touch confused that people are arguing about which side can use what ships... BOTH sides are using trains; both sides require a freighter to support (Bretonnians need a freighter to load, Gallics need a freighter to unload - and since the supply depot is not yet working on Gallian end, there's no quick 5k run available). Both sides are entirely reliant on support ships to fill our 5kers. For Rheinland that has meant shipping whichever group had available freighters.
And yes the Bretonnians have easily evacuated over a million already.

The event is fair right now. No complaints there.
Udarus here wants the POB to be reopened, which would allow the Gallic side to use pure transports. We are trying to explain why that would give Gallia an advantage, and he is pointing to the fact we have more people doing the event, which is a moot point.
In really they have one disadvantage. You for some reasons forget about commodity counting. Without pob they should do screens, and 1 screen of 5k much more handy than 8-10 of freighter.

Which is one of the main reasons nobody does this. I usually see 2-5 gallic freighters doing the run themselves, but it is very rare I even see a single transport.
