I am Omryn of the Bering Bereft, a group of Zoners displaced from our home of Freeport 2 several years ago. As you know we have gone under a few names and earlier diplomatic attempts had stalled.
We would like to restart these discussions with the Battlegroup Harmony, whilst we realise that this isn't really your fight or your concern, you do hold a substantial influence on the system as a whole and we believe that there is scope for the both of us to co-operate within Bering.
As you yourself call it - Freeport 2 is now a "wild west like situation" and is detrimental to the security of the system as a whole. We would like to reclaim our home and assist you in defending the immediate area and Bristol Depot from lawlessness and hostility.
Battlegroup Harmony will retain docking rights on Freeport 2 (which will be renamed) and unrestricted access to the military salvage area.
The Bering Bereft will assist Battlegroup Harmony against Liberty forces in the Bering system wherever possible.
I trust that you will find these terms favourable and will support us in our simple aim.
I won't argue for the idea of a Zoner Freeport once more. I remember myself the last time you people came around, though arguably in a less civil manner, blaring 'Freedom' this and 'Salvation' that. I even remember that hilarious drop ship that.. 'allegedly' was supposed to invade the station, though it never did.
Though I suppose if you're starting this out in a civil manner then I can reciprocate the idea.
I won't lie. The idea is definitely not that appealing.
Personally, I don't see why you people would want it back to begin with. It's been caked in Pirate garb for over a year now, and that stuff doesn't come off easy. Add in that your people have proven to be.. 'rowdy' in the past, which is detrimental towards stability, and that the militant Zoners that were 'chased' off the station tend to have a bad rep with even the other Bering locals, and it just doesn't seem like it's healthy for what you claim your goals are.
Also tag in the fact that the station isn't even operated by the Battlegroup, but by local dissidents and other manner of scumbag, and the whole thing just seems like a fool's errand.
But, hey. If you want to go ahead and try, and keep out of our way, then feel free. Just make sure you don't end up like the last batch of 'dissident' Zoners who came around.
It's a shame that previous attempts have coloured us in a bad light. You don't seem too keen on the Freeport residents either. I'll admit that the Freeport will be quite a task to clean up, but as I am sure you are aware, nothing on the scale of constructing a new base.
If you wish to remain neutral in this matter then so be it - but note that as Bristol Depot has been constructed so close to the Freeport, we cannot take any responsibility for damage caused by conflict in this area - if you were to assist then I am sure that gaining control over this base would be a much more straightforward affair and reduce the risk to your own installation.
If you change your mind I'm sure you know where to find me.
I would like to personally note that the Battlegroup is more than sufficient to deal with any hostile acts within proximity of our installations. And do entrust that any actions that would conflict with the security of civilians onboard Bristol Depot would be swiftly ended by Harmony forces, be it resistance to your actions in regards to Freeport 2 or be caused by your actions. We are neutral in this matter, but be assured we will aggressively ensure Bristol remains unharmed by these attempts from any party.
