With the war between Kusari and Rheinland settled down, the risk of exposure of the Order Operation in the system increased greatly. In order to prevent this from happening the time has come to move the newly christened Armageddon, finished thanks to the aid of the allies of the Order, into Order territory proper.
Due to the timely response Armageddon was able to traverse Sigma 21 and Sigma 59 undetected, meeting up with other Order and allied vessels along the way for protection. Nomad scouts however picked up on the fleets movements as it entered the Omicron Sigma system. With the jump hole to Omicron Mu nearby and a significant force on their doorstep, the hidden Nomad Lair in the system became a buzz with activity as the Nomad war forms move to intercept the human fleet.
A lone AI scout has noticed both fleets and investigates, should it be allowed to escape it will surely call in reinforcements and assault whichever fleet remains.
Objectives.
Allied Forces:
Defeat the most enemies. 3 points (as counted by how many waves won, not individual kills).
Defend the transporters carrying non-combatants. 4 points (2 points per transport that makes it through, two transports total).
Destroy the A.I. scout vessel before it flees and raises alarm. 3 points (0 points for either side if it successfully flees).
Nomad Forces:
Defeat the most enemies. 3 points (as counted by how many waves won, not individual kills).
Destroy the transports carrying non-combatants. 4 points (2 points per transport eliminated, two transports total).
Destroy the A.I. scout vessel before it flees and raises alarm. 3 points (0 points for either side if it successfully flees).
Event rules.
The event will consist of three waves, respawning is allowed as is repairing and restocking in-between waves. Note that server rules are still in effect; docking with a hostile around is still a nono, event or not.
As you may have noticed this event includes objectives as well as points for both sides, you may also have noticed the first post after this is reserved.
The point amount will decide who wins the event and to what degree.
A point majority indicates a victory and both sides having equal points a draw.
After the event the reserved post will be edited to reflect the outcome of the event and hint towards what may come next.
This means which (player made) follow up event occurs depends on the outcome of this event.
General rules.
Standard PvP rules apply. Registration is mandatory. Stay in the fight, no restocking (during waves), no running to hug solars, no running into the clouds or asteroid fields.
Equipment rules - no Dual novas bombers, no Cloaks, no NEMP (glorified flashbangs).
Location: Between Cairo station and the Nomad Lair in Omicron Sigma as indicated on the map above.
All Order, BD, IMG, Bundschuh, Coalition, Vagrant, K’hara IDs are eligible for registration, as well as their respective indies.
Other registrations are allowed as long as the ID's make sense but will be considered reserves to fill out the slots as needed.
(feel free to motivate your registration if it isn't conventional, as well as for which side you wish to fly)
Additional slots could be added if both sides would have enough numbers. Feedback is welcome.

I'd like to thank all the people involved in helping organizing this event and setting it up, as well as the build up for it.
Especially:
Golanski for advice and participation of Order.
Wasser for K'hara's participation
Foxglove for Vagrants participation
Everyone that participated in Phase 2 of Armageddon (which is what enabled them to participate in this event should they so choose).
Black Smoke for providing advice on the cap slot balancing.
Ramke for providing advice on staff related matters such as conditions for respawning during an event.
The Nomad assault in Omicron Sigma came swift and ruthlessly, descending upon the Allied Forces as they escorted staff and critical materials through the system.
While caught offguard, the Allied Forces fought valiantly, succesfully cleaving a path through the Nomad onslaught for the Armageddon as well as the transport vessels Last_Hope and Last_Hope II to escape with their valuable cargo.
While hardfought, the initial wave of Nomads was fought off, cleaving the path clear for the fleet vanguard to proceed. Unfortunately this moment of peace was shortlived.
The rear guard of the Allied Forces met the same level of opposition in the system and was swiftly overwhelmed as the Nomads decimated those who they saw as intruders in their space.
The battle of Omicron Sigma joins the archives as another grim reminder of the constant Nomad threat still lurking in the far reaches of the Sirius system, where the price of success is measured in lives rather then credits.
Meanwhile, a single AI drone had managed to escape the battlefield with data it had gathered. Who knew what this will lead to.

I think it would be an good idea to add snubs to the event, since some of the human factions barely have acess to any caps. Also I think it would be better for balance, since ships such as bombers can make quite a big difference in the cap fight aswell.
Slots have been updated, thanks to everyone who has registered so far!

This is something I was considering while drafting the event due to some of the eligible factions having less access to capital vessels.
If there are more interested in including bombers I am willing to change 1 or 2 gunboat slots to bomber, or perhaps make them bomber/gunboat slots
so sides can fill them in as they want.
