How many of you read stories and enjoy reading them?

I usually speed read other people's stories and judge their bbcode skills or lack of...

RP stories are usually boring, cringy, edgy and whatnot. I don't even read my own after I've finished them. I sometimes actually take them as a chore.

Comms, on the other hand, that's the stuff that gets me excited and I love writing them. In comms I actually get to RP my character, while in RP stories players often describe their characters' actions to the point of recording their every single step and I don't feel right when I only write what my character says, nor can I bother myself to keep reading them. Never mind the cringe and edginess.

I generally read most of the Tal Ravis lore, because I consider it essential. Sometimes I read other people's work too if they have an interesting character or if the story is regarding something I want to learn more about.

People writing for the sake of writing is perfectly fine.
However, the worst thing about admin duties were reading through the provided material for people's ''SRP'' requests. My condolences to whoever is stuck with that task right now and who has to then compare that deviant art levels of nonsense to gaugue what the, and I quote, current baseline of effort, was at the time. Opt out was allowed during those days, but yeah the levels of Special were high, let me tell you.

I read Garrett Jax' admin stories back when those were a thing because they were actually enjoyable to read.

Comms are cool.

I probably won't read a stories&biographies thread unless I am forced to.

Actually I've scrolled through some well-formatted and to-the-point character biographies once in a while because those actually contain information that can be used while interacting.
