I am sure Story will be receptive of RP surrounding getting GC back in its feet, and I think this is a good opportunity to provide some RP from players. Getting the planet back, bells and all, would not be very intriguing. There is also a need to wade through the complicated situation in the system with all the factions vying for influence.

Speaking of flood thread, I didn't know Bretonians were undead from WC3 to summon and unsummon buildings. You seem to be cheated too because more gold is required and you don't quite commit to control Dublin for a long time now.
