When I installed Freelancer and Discovery mod on my new laptop, DS Launcher created my "New Account" (that I've since renamed as "Main Account" using the Edit command), that it "Extracted from the registry." I've been trying everything
I can think of to create additional accounts, but I can't figure out how. What's the secret to create additional accounts?
Edit: How many characters are allowed per account? I remember it used to be five, but three years ago, y'all experimented with changing the max to ten, but I think accounts with more than five or six were unstable. I think I read a more recent post that mentioned seven.

No more than 7.

Thanks, SnakThree and St,Denis. Are accounts with seven characters stable? As an experiment, I created a sixth character on my main account and I haven't had any problems so far...
I found that having more than 5 on an account can corrupt chars when logging between accounts,
so keep the your chars clear from harm by sticking to the 5 per account or you may find it expensive
and time consuming to remake them.
And or waste GM's time & efforts to fix, only to be reverted back to corruption.

I have quite a few Accounts with 7 Ships on them. Never had a problem.
