My friend encountered this, I was helping him with setting up his character.

He did /restart corsair, that worked.
Though I noticed that he didn't have a corsair tag in front of his name, but maybe that's normal.

The problem is, that he bought a titan, and whenever he mounts the corsair ID, it unmounts itself right away.
(F7, mount, close window, F7, its not mounted)

So.. did he make a mistake, or what?

Go to the equipment dealer and have him mount it if you can't do it yourself. Let the experts handle it. Same with armor upgrades.

You can also do the following:

Go to your inventory. Unmount something that had a vanilla hardpoint- shields, weapons, etc. Anything but scanners, IDs, and armor. Then, do whatever swapping you need with your scanner, ID, and/or armor. When finished, remount the other thing.

What this does is inform FL that you changed your equipment. If you hear the noise, the engine is aware that you are changing stuff. As I understand it, the non-vanilla equipment doesn't have the trigger responsible for updating your equipment (and coincidentally causing the equipment noise).
