IDs are considered in roleplay at present, hence the reason for allowing official wild factions the ability to use indie IDs other than their own official ID while still tagged.
Wild ID = Wild, your choice to "believe" them or not
Navy ID but Aoi tag = you will get sanctioned for calling them wild without roleplay reasons unrelated to the tag

So, LEOs still go after Pirates that have not committed a crime simply because they have a Pirate ID?
That's why, imo, it should just be like: ID for you (and OORP), IFF for everyone else (and InRP, respectively). Simple and clear. And it was like that before, iirc.
