I'd rather be playing, but no I havent and won't be fast enough to do all of it myself, so anyone with the know-how please feel free to contribute all you like to the functioning of these ideas. I have laid the framework for a system, based on things I already saw done many times, so I know some folks here still have to be able to get it done. I don't think we are short on programmers, we're short on direction.
You mean there is no one here that can change JD4's to be able to jump transports again? No one here that can make an npc base a POB version of itself that can take damage and take supplies for repairs? No one that would do that a few times a month? No one here that can make a simple decision to allow players to fly at least two ships at the same time? No one that can let you dock freighters on docking modules? No one here that would process a siege request, log into a ship to take scidata from someone to earn such a siege?
If you have no time to waste flying, it is you that shouldn't make that my problem. The balance of RP server vs arcade shooter has blurred too easily. In the time you chase me, you could have gone back and got into another battle, maybe have got an easier kill. And I would have come back to try again sooner. Which I did, later on in a pirate transport, and got into a fight to the death on that one too.

Like how hard would it be to add a plugin on O-48 for lawfuls vs unlawfuls and vice versa for a couple months, starting from tomorrow's restart?
Inter house wars just aren't worth it for Devs, that much is clear. the activity doesn't reflect the work put in at all.
I'm content to see factions get a simple ability to challenge for certain locations. I see no reason why any of the factions with ZOI out there can't earn and file for a siege attempt, and try to capture the planet via a battle, or series of smaller battles, that could unfold over a week, instead of a single day event. So, big wars could develop naturally but likely take a back seat to smaller factions being able to do more on their end. If the Corsairs, or Coalition (OF's) etc, wanted to try to take Gran Canaria for their npc faction, I don't see the problem. If we let stuff like that happen, and the admins/devs operated the system, this place would definitely be much busier on average in just weeks. If OF's could do that, even if a base changed hands, another OF could challenge again and keep the battle going. No one needs to be stuck losing unless you really can't find any help, and that is basically fair if it happened. If sides balance naturally, based on the importance/popularity of an issue, even when you lose its still reasonable, and lets you have experiences more than enough to report inrp and write stories around.
Say we did that, Zoners are more than able to defend Zoner settlements, and if they did lose the planet again, which faction could hold it? So even if that is never done with GC, what we need is a bunch of places that can be fought over. But to me I see Zoners actually having some purpose if the odd time they face a real challenge (siege). Diplomacy to avoid such things would become real. To me, the new docking ring out there might make that planet a more valuable prize. The Zoner playerbase would have defended that place, way more than what was allowed.
If we had that ability, the few hotspots that would naturally arise would keep the place more than busy enough to not miss large interhouse wars. The only large wars I'd like to see are against the Nomads or AI. I'd be tempted to support an invasion of Gallia, but I actually still support Gallia sabotaging its jump gates, mining its jumpholes, and actually 'exclusivising' Gallia. But, and sorry I can't program this myself, but I'd make Gallia accessible from the outside by Jumpdrive only (allow group jumps again) and only let Orkney and Lorraine be the systems you could jump in and out of. All unauthorized jump trade would be illegal, but the goverment would know its going on. That way when you're in Gallia, you're kind of stuck out there unless you can find a ship to jump you back and forth. Believe it or not, I don't hate Gallia and that's not my reason for suggesting it, I just think it would make going to and from Gallia a bigger deal, and create a local zone out there. Gallia gets smaller, but the whole thing would feel bigger. Not to mention, inrp wise, to avoid future invasions, it makes sence they'd go back to how they started, and cut off the routes to Sirius.
Then if we could get limited multiboxing and jump trade back, I'd jump ships to and from Gallia myself, leave the ship at the edge of a system and fly a freighter out to explore, escort trade ships, offer jumps back for others. And avoiding the authorities the whole time! But imagine the supply convoys, running in aid to help the Maquis. Or goverment jump convoys jumping to and from Rheinland? If we could only jump in and out of two edge systems, lawfuls would have some gateway systems to patrol for the smugglers. One you're in, you still use the jumpholes and gates. Imagine if the Maquis could try to capture some bases or planets? Even if they had the right, maybe they have no way of getting the scidata except by buying it from outsiders? But GN could patrol for jump smugglers from Sirius, and Maquis could plan to try to attack official goverment convoys, or authorized factions like Rhienlanders, etc. Then Gallia would only need a few new empty systems on the back side to create a sort of 'wilderness' to hide in, explore, settle.
So basically what I’m hearing is you want all these changes that will turn this game into your wet dream of an RTS, but you’re too lazy to learn how to code the changes yourself. Get a life, bud. If this community was ever going to accept your rather idiotic ideas, we’d have done it by now. Please, just drop the topic and either go play the game or uninstall it. It’s all the same to me. Just get off the forums. Nobody really wants to watch you scoop up the same turd and keep throwing it over and over.

Have a nice day.
Very well, I give up, I think I will be uninstalling the game actually, as the last unsolveable issue here is being stuck here with the actual loser psychokids with no imagination, strength, education. You, and those who agree with you, are the cancer that lowered the standards here, willing to keep the game suppressed for you, and your lack of...ability?
For the record, this has nothing to do with the game going RTS, thats just to scare people, and you're just afraid you can't keep up. Well many of us here could, and would, enjoy the chance to put a bit more thought into what we do here. But its fine, I barely play because there is nothing to do, and I don't choose to be braindead for someone else's convenience. Enjoy the empty server and all the failing factions. I think its you that is too lazy and fearful of inadequacy to handle putting more thought into what you do here, and act like I'm the villian, as usual, to protect yourself. Thanks for keeping the bar low for us all, and thanks for all the attempts at solving the issues here yourself. Same goes to Groshyr. You're complete hypocrites. But I am also tired of the immovable wall here you guys keep up. Its your fault there's no change here, not mine.
Congratulations, you saved the server from me, no I won't be posting a leaving thread or giving away stuff.
