Kaliste, High Command!
Earlier today I've spent a while on a patrol between Crete and Cadiz, spent some quality time shooting down Hessian ships in the Hammen hole. During my shootout, my sensors started pinging about a supposed cloak signature, but after firing up my disruptors and not getting any new contacts, I blamed my sensors being damaged during the voyage through Omega-41. While on my way back, I flew by Leon to get my sensors checked, but as I approached the base, my sensors started going crazy once more. Out of habit I punched the disruptors once more, and it has in fact unraveled a Nomad vessel!
In it's surprise, the alien was too shocked to avoid automated fire from Leon's defenses which quickly drained it's shields, but then it drew it's ire upon our ships, and despite my best efforts, one of the transports, "Tito Fuentes" went down to the attacker, but not before sustaining heavy damage from my guns. Sadly, once it turned it's eyes on me, I had little choice but keeping it engaged until reinforcements arrived. Thankfully, a Custodi vessel "Achilles" came in to assist after a short while, and together we made short work of the invader.
Afterwards, captain of the the Brotherhood transport "Imperator" assured me that they'll relay this incident and that they'll reinforce our patrols in the area. We have our hands full keeping our supply shipments to Reincarnation Outpost, and now the bastards are attacking us in Omegas? I have a bad feeling about this, but seeing Deterrence, Brotherhood and Custodi working together fills me with hope despite those dark times.

Fellow commanders, executor Nagash,
As you already know, earlier today we've sent a research expedition to Omicron Lost to gather more scientific data for our projects. A freelancer flying the research vessel "Mycronius" offered his service to us.
By the time our batteries were running dry and we were about to leave, a small fleet of Auxesians flying Core capital ships appeared out of nowhere, accompanied by a Vagrant ship.
Quote from my ship's audio log:
Quote:[03.12.2021 12:58:08] A/)-ACV-Achlys: V: Fascinating.
[03.12.2021 12:58:20] DTR-CNS>Tavros: Eros: What's your interest with us, Auxo?
[03.12.2021 12:59:11] A/)-ACV-Achlys: V: Leaving, are we?
[03.12.2021 12:59:22] DTR-Nox: We have no business with you
[03.12.2021 12:59:33] A/)-ACV-Achlys: V: A shame, because we have business with you.
[03.12.2021 13:00:09] DTR-Nox: I'm sure you'd love to chat
[03.12.2021 13:00:10] DTR-Nox: and all that
[03.12.2021 13:00:11] A/)-ACV-Achlys: V: Prep the cannons. Decimate them all.
[03.12.2021 13:00:11] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: Target subdued.
[03.12.2021 13:00:14] DTR-Nox: oh well
[03.12.2021 13:00:16] A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith: Weaponry online.

[03.12.2021 13:00:35] A/)-ACV-Achlys: V: You will go down like the vile degenerates you are.
[03.12.2021 13:00:37] Vagrant.Melia: "Much twilight, lingering in the wrong void."
[03.12.2021 13:00:46] Vagrant.Melia: "It will be taught."
[03.12.2021 13:00:55] DTR-CNS>Tavros: Eros: My weapons are too weak for this task
[03.12.2021 13:01:01] DTR-CNS>Aterrador: ?: All units make a run for it
[03.12.2021 13:01:28] Death: DTR-CNS>Aterrador was put out of action by A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith (Gun).
Most of us managed to escape, but above all we managed to secure the data we have gathered. We have suffered a heavy loss in this battle, a battleship and a gunboat, but the cost was worth it.
My gunboat ended up being blown up by those arrogant Auxesians.
Quote:[03.12.2021 13:11:17] A/)-ACV-Achlys: V: Did you forget we were killing you?
[03.12.2021 13:11:21] A/)-ACV-Achlys: V: Yes, we are still doing that.
[03.12.2021 13:11:31] Death: DTR-CNS>Tavros was put out of action by A/)-ACV-Achlys (Gun).
Luckily, they spared my escape pod, and Mycronius carried me to safety. The pilot of Mycronius later decided to join forces, and from now on will serve us aboard the DTR-CRV>Posidonius.
It was a strange, unexpected encounter, but the outcome ended up in our favor. With a research vessel in our fleet, we can now strive to develop our own brand of offensive and defensive weaponry, and construct bigger, better bases.

Kaliste, High Command!
I'd like to report on our efforts assisting the Zoner surver efforts of Gran Canaria: Over the past 2 days most of our forces were sent out into the Omegas to patrol the area. At first I joined up with a large Zoner fleet utilizing a Bustard carrier equipped with a jump drive to move the cargo directly from Omicron Theta to the vicinity of the Gran Canaria. Most of that group eventually disbanded, including the Bustard, and we were back to usual routing via cruise. I escorted the two Zoners by names of Sophron and Resolute on about a dozen worth of trips.
It didn't go without incidents however, we were attacked on two occasions by unknown assailants. In one case we've managed to fend them off, in the other, both sides sustained losses. I got a few ideas as to whom those attackers could be, namely Wild or Bretonia Intelligence Service, but I couldn't find any hints as to their actual origin. We may end up never learning the truth.
Overall, it would seem that the survey efforts continued with little issue once we secured the area, and I'm eagerly awaiting news from Gran Canaria.

Our efforts in Rheinland are not proceeding as smooth as expected, we're experiencing a surprisingly high number of Rheinwehr patrols during our incursions. As for myself, I've led a single rather large incursion into Frankfurt system, where we ended up fending off a Military patrol. While we caused notable damage to the enemy forces, a Heavy Fighter and a Cruiser, while also losing a Cruiser and a bomber wing. Note for future raids: Bring more fighters and/or anti-snub gunboats.
On a more positive note, here's footage of an intercepted transport carrying the parts for the gate. As the pilot was cooperative and I felt no need to attack a former ally in the war against Bretonians, I have instead received a donation of funds we can use to strengthen our fleet against the ongoing Core onslaught.
The operation will continue for as long as the construction effort continues. If the transports refuse supporting us financially, don't let past friendships stay your guns. it's up to the haulers to decide their fate.

Kaliste, High Command!
Another update of our progress on the Rho Gate disruptions, a LOT has happened since my last report:
During my yesterday's final patrol, I've witnessed a Military ship question a Zoner Cruiser-class vessel "Wavefront" about about trespassing without permits, Just as I sat back and started getting comfortable looking at the proceedings, Rheinlander decided that getting rid of me was a higher priority, despite all of us being in a Zoner No-Fire zone.
It didn't end well for them, but my ship sustained critical damage in the process, and a Rheinwehr cruiser started rolling into the area. As such, I had to withdraw. While at Petra, I was told that due to increased traffic, the base has a hard time procuring sufficient supplies, so I called up my good frient, Marco Pedrez, pilot of Correo freighter 'Topo', who usually stations on Reincarnation Outpost and provides haulers with ore. Assuming the base is not on lockdown due to Maltese scum.
In any case, he said he'll grab a bit of surplus from the Knossos and will drop it off at Petra, and promptly delivered a bunch of Food, Water, Oxygen, Consumer Goods and a little bit extra.
While Marco was doing his run, I caught another shipment of Blue Packs headed for the construction site, and had most interesting exchange with the Gaul, which resulted in a tribute of 12 million credits, while having struck a bargain.

[11.12.2021 02:00:25] DTR-Nox.: Also, I'm afraid I don't speak Gaul
[11.12.2021 02:00:27] Multifonctionnel: Oui
[11.12.2021 02:00:41] Multifonctionnel: Ah... My apologies.
[11.12.2021 02:00:47] Multifonctionnel: Let me try again.
[11.12.2021 02:00:48] DTR-Nox.: But I'm gonna assume that first sentence was a greeting
[11.12.2021 02:01:05] Multifonctionnel: Good day, Corsair, my friendly enemy.
[11.12.2021 02:01:17] DTR-Nox.: An astute observation!
[11.12.2021 02:01:23] DTR-Nox.: See, there is this dillema
[11.12.2021 02:01:32] DTR-Nox.: On one hand, I don't really mind your folk
[11.12.2021 02:01:42] DTR-Nox.: Had a good fight against Bretonia

[11.12.2021 02:02:24] Multifonctionnel: Ah... I... err... understand your dilema.
[11.12.2021 02:02:27] DTR-Nox.: As such, I am sadly forced to present you with three choices
[11.12.2021 02:02:48] DTR-Nox.: Number one, you abandon your post, drop the cargo and head back
[11.12.2021 02:03:21] DTR-Nox.: Number two, you compensate Crete for your support to the Core
[11.12.2021 02:03:30] DTR-Nox.: Or three, the most morbid one
[11.12.2021 02:03:38] DTR-Nox.: I imagine you can guess what that would be
[11.12.2021 02:03:48] Multifonctionnel: Oh non. I do not wish to be a memory.
[11.12.2021 02:04:14] Multifonctionnel: Perhaps we can talk more around the second?
[11.12.2021 02:04:27] DTR-Nox.: I am all ears
[11.12.2021 02:04:34] DTR-Nox.: What do you think would be fair compensation?
[11.12.2021 02:05:00] Multifonctionnel: I can offer two compensations that you may like, I shall let you choose, my friend.
[11.12.2021 02:05:39] DTR-Nox.: Let's hear them out
[11.12.2021 02:05:47] Multifonctionnel: First, I can cart to your doorstep, without my bosses knowledge... A load of military salvage.
[11.12.2021 02:06:26] Multifonctionnel: Or I can provide you with 12 million err... Yes, I have sirius credits.
[11.12.2021 02:06:29] DTR-Nox.: That is a most interesting option
[11.12.2021 02:06:34] DTR-Nox.: Hmmm
[11.12.2021 02:06:45] DTR-Nox.: I'd be more interested in the first one
[11.12.2021 02:06:54] DTR-Nox.: But how can I trust you'll deliver if I leave you be right now
[11.12.2021 02:07:28] Multifonctionnel: This I can definitely do, mon ami. Delivery is simple. I must return here to appear to be on route.
[11.12.2021 02:07:31] DTR-Nox.: I suggest a hybrid approach
[11.12.2021 02:07:55] Multifonctionnel: You can escort me to the dock of your choice and witness the transaction.
[11.12.2021 02:08:00] DTR-Nox.: You pay those 12 million credits right now, as per option 2
[11.12.2021 02:08:20] DTR-Nox.: Deliver the cargo, and I'll pay you back 20, on top of whatever money you'll receive for the salvage
[11.12.2021 02:08:25] Multifonctionnel: Ah, yes... Shall we say... A bond?
[11.12.2021 02:08:55] [2021-12-11] 02:08:54 You have received 12.000.000 credits from Multifonctionnel
[11.12.2021 02:09:19] DTR-Nox.: Funds received, it would appear the bargain is struck
[11.12.2021 02:09:28] Multifonctionnel: My friend, I believe, that should my bosses never find out. This will be to both our benefit.
[11.12.2021 02:09:39] DTR-Nox.: It does indeed
[11.12.2021 02:10:08] Multifonctionnel: Take care, mon ami. Till the next time, with the salvage.
[11.12.2021 02:10:09] DTR-Nox.: It sounds as if you know the directions?
[11.12.2021 02:10:50] DTR-Nox.: Either way, Crete benefits
[11.12.2021 02:10:53] Multifonctionnel: Oh oui. I was here to witness your battle against the Rheinlanders. That is how I know not to become a memory.
[11.12.2021 02:11:05] DTR-Nox.: Excellent
[11.12.2021 02:11:23] DTR-Nox.: I'm looking forward to hearing from our shipwrights about a generous shipment of materials
[11.12.2021 02:11:34] DTR-Nox.: Until next time, Senor
[11.12.2021 02:12:10] DTR-Nox.: May this mark a start of a long, mutually beneficial bond
[11.12.2021 02:12:20] DTR-Nox.: maybe cooperation would be a better word
[11.12.2021 02:12:30] Multifonctionnel: Indeed. Merci.
Full transcript above, but the short version is: They're willing to bring a haul of Military Salvage in return of his 'tribute', which I took as a safety precaution. As such, please allow the ship safe passage while hauling the promised cargo into Omicron Gamma.
As for today events, I've ran into the exact same trader hauling the blue packs, this time accompanied by an escort. Thankfully I've had support of Catastor and Ares, and so the escort didn't dare to attack, lest we'd dispatch them both. That said, I didn't want to go public with the yesterday's agreemend, and simply demanded another tribute without further discussion.
And the events conclude on yet another duel with a member or Rheinwehr, which this time ended in a draw, and I had to have my ship hauled back to Petra by the rest of our fighter wing. My ship is undergoing repairs as I'm writing this report, but I hope I'll manage to continue operations later today.
Corsair Capital ships Crushed by the Core!
by Petroula Carvos (Unofficial Corsair News Network)
It started out as a day of pride and glory for the Corsairs as the infamous Deterrence Fleet assembled at Freeport 11 to defend our stake in Omicron Delta against the Core and Outcasts. Due to the recent cold war with the Outcasts over Knossos, tensions were high and the occasional flash of gunfire could be seen as crew of the vessels wrestled with their impatience.
The battle got off to a rough start, our fleet seemed to think that the Core would be approaching from Nauru and were surprised when the core flanked them to the side. Seeing our fleet spread out and in disarray, the Outcasts and Core sat still, no doubt jeering rudely in their ships, as they actually waited for our fleet to reassemble before launching their attack.
Warcrys were exchanged and the initial shots were fired. Your dedicated correspondent staked everything to get as close as possible to the action, without losing life, limb or news report.
Mortar fire rocks a Legate, pride of the Corsairs.
Sadly, our fleet was not prepared, our ships were spread out, leaving our strongest vessels vulnerable to cumulative enemy gunfire. First they took down a Legate, the same ship that you see on the recruitment posters on Crete. They then moved on to cut our finest ships down one by one.
The chaos of the battlefield makes it hard to tell friend from foe.
As our ships were being crushed by the superior co-operation between the Core and Outcasts, one lonely bomber by the name of "Nox" attempted to engage the enemy alone, purportedly critically damaging one of the enemy capitals before his bomber was eventually disabled. Due to the military secrets act, I was not able to legally obtain, or steal, in-flight shots from the wreck of the bomber. My attempts to close in mid-combat resulted in me being fired upon by an Outcast vessel for wandering too close to the battlezone. Rest assured, I escaped shaken, but unharmed.
The Core and Outcasts then left for Nauru leaving their fighter squadrons to finish off their work.
Much to everyone's surprise, there were corsair snubs that survived the fight, demonstrating the tenacity that Deterrence has become famous for. Unable, to take on the surviving capital ships in their smaller craft, the call came out from a Deterrence Executive waiting on Freeport 11 for the craft to retreat. The battle was lost.
A lonely DTR snubcraft (bottom right) watches as the our enemies depart the field victorious.
Thankfully, due to the sheer amount of activity prompted by this battle, all surviving escape pods from both sides of the conflict were recovered by the Zoners and returned to their respective sides. This correspondent thanks the Zoners of Freeport 11 for their support in that endeavor.
After the battle I attempted to contact Executor Ravenna Nagash regarding the results of the battle. I was unsuccessful, but I did manage to get a statement from Eros Galanis, who is rumoured to be the second in command of Deterrence. He was injured in the battle and was being held in the Freeport Hospital.
"This is definitely going to happen again. There will be another battle with the Outcasts and the Core sometime in the future. As such, we will look at holding more training for our pilots and captains. Furthermore, there have been rumours of possible Nomad activity and we intend to be ready for it."
I don't know those of you in my readership, but I for one am certainly looking forward to it.

Kaliste, High Command!
First of all, not to keep you on the edge of your seats, our force has successfully reached the Kepler System without incidents. Now onto the main report.
Before the proper trip I've had a few men load up my freshly refurbished Legate, Olympus with necessary provisions and personnel: Manifest
After that was done, I was joined by two of our escort craft, codename Ares and Sauro, and once we've confirmed Executor is comfortable in Her chambers, we set off on our journey.
We'd have to cross House space regardless of our routing, and so we just picked the shortest route: through the heart of Kusari. By navigating local network of jump holes provided by Hogosha and utilizing our escorts for scouting ahead, we finally made it to the Kepler Jump Gate undetected, although it took a toll on our fuel reserves.
Once we reached the station, we began a rather lengthy docking procedure, during which we've been finally spotted by a lone Golden Chrysanthemum, callsign 'Aki', but she knew better than to engage outnumbered and outgunned.
The Executor has disembarked along with the security detail, and from what I heard the Outcasts have already arrived before us, and are stationed on the opposite side of the station. That said, no sign of their fleet was detected by our scanners. I'm suspecting they're laying low, powered down and hidden in the dark matter storm. I'm doing to do the same within an hour. We'll see how the summit goes, but all hands will remain battle-ready until it's over.

Ave High Command,
A Zoner has rocked up on our doorstep in Xi. Calls themselves "JJ". Seems they want a tour of the nomad ruins. Normally, I wouldn't care, except this is no trade ship. They are heavily armed, but I can't see any signs of threat. Still, I don't think they're here to buy fancy relics.
They alluded to meeting some of our men in Omega 11, so I went back through the pile of reports. Apparently, around 2 weeks ago, that science vessel we recruited ran into him while doing whatever it is that they do out there. Half the stuff in this report is meaningless gibberish to me. I just know we get good money from selling the nut-job's research.
As always, the report is in an esoteric format. I'll to get my staff to convert it to something more normal, cut out all the science-talk and send it to you. See if you guys can spot anything that I have missed.
In the meantime, I'm going to look at greeting this Zoner. I'll show them some relics and talk a bit before I see about escorting them to the interior. If they are as serious as they say about killing nomads? It might help us with the reoccurring nomad bomber incursions our work teams have been complaining about.
Lasty, I appreciate the promotion you gave me, even if my military rank didn't technically change, but can you do something about all this damn desk work? I haven't flown an action in days.

Location: Omega-11
Report by: Professor Milo Chronus
Here we are, out in Omega-11 again. The anomalies out here are absolutely fascinating. They seem to be completely different to the ones we located in Omicron-Lost. The wavelengths of the readings ...<ommitted>... I feel we're getting closer every time to a new breakthrough.
Some other ship is out here, today.
I don't care, that's what the escorts are for, I sent them some sort of cursory greeting and went back to my research. No-one seems too bothered to see them.
What? Yet another unexpected ship? Wait, why are you kicking me off the bridge? This is MY ship...
<sounds of sirens, running footsteps and shuffling about, followed by sound of person sitting down>
Ensign Cryus here, we have spotted Coalition Corvo approaching us. Visual contact attached. As per High Command's orders, we have escorted Professor Milo to the safe-room, ready to be ejected if required.
Initial contact with the Coalition is hostile. They have demanded that we hand over our research data. The enemy vessel is alone, while we have two escorts. The combat commander has ordered a scan of the enemy, he wants to determine their loadout.
Scans have indicated that the enemy Corvo is carrying Corsair pilots. The combat commander has demanded their return but things are not looking good. ...The enemy ship has opened fire! Suspending this report and proceeding to combat stations.
<report suspended>
<report resumed>
Ensign Cryus again, the battle has concluded, with our overwhelming victory. Unfortunately the 3 corsair prisoners were lost in the destruction of the enemy vessel. But at least they are now free and they died with the honour expected of any Corsair. The professor has been released and will return to this station shortly.
Ensign Cryus, out.
Milo Chronus here,
The damn monkeys who crew this ship finally let me out of that prison they call a safe room. Thankfully, there is no lost data and my instruments are undamaged. I understand that the Corsairs are only trying to protect me, but do they have to take my ship into battle? What if everything became uncalibrated?
Apparently, the remaining ship is from the Zoners. For political reasons, they didn't get involved in the fight. I apologised to them that they had to see such a thing, and they were understanding. Said they're out here for scanner adjustments on some sort of solar scanner.
They refuse to say too much, but an educated guess leads me to believe their new scanners work on the princip... <ommited> ...I told them about the base in Knossos. The Corsairs seem to want people to know, so they can drum up more business, as such they have standing orders that any "prospective" clients should be told.
When this whatever-his-name-is mentioned their interest in nomad tech, I cunningly dropped it into the conversation and did not just randomly blurt out the information while discussing science, no, no.
They seemed interested and mentioned finding their way to the ruins one way or another. Because of the political situation there, I thought it would be best to warn them, how much of a bad idea it is to upset a bunch of Corsairs with warships.
They seem to be leaving now and anyway, the data from these instruments is most fascinating. I mean, imagine if I could link the waves fro... <rest of report ommited>
<Logged excerpt from conversation between Milo Chronus and "JJ" of
the Zoner vessel Stormhawk>
JJ: Have you had any encounters with the Nomads?
Milo: ...but then we found this desolate place, it seemed perfect...
Why yes, we've seen a few.
Their larger ships can be seen in Zeta, which I believe you would
probably be aware of. With all the Core and Order Activity.
JJ: We have seen them alot in Zeta also, destroyed many in there.
Milo: The cosairs also have [nomad] ruins in Knossos. They were
very disappointed when they heard I don't know archaeology.
JJ: Knossos? What is that?
Milo: I'm not too certain myself, sensors are ineffective around the
vicinity, with the radiation and nebula dust.
It's either a very non-dense gas giant, or... something else.
Again, my speciality lies in quantum manipulation, I am not an
astronomer.
JJ: This is news to us, anything to do with Nomad tech of any sort is
very much intriguing to us.
Where is this Knossos place located, if you don't mind me asking?
Milo: The location is no secret, the Corsairs are operating business out
of there. Though they are... twitchy about it.
It's located in Omicron Xi.
JJ: Over in Xi huh? We have only been there a few times and noticed low
Nomad activity, but also it being a stonghold for the corsairs, we
don't want to step on their territory without some authorization.
Milo: You'll known when you're close. There are some barely functional
nomad weapons platforms surrounding the... Planet, I suppose.
If you approach with a trader, they would welcome you.
With a warship? I don't know.
JJ: You know in what part of the system it is? We seem to have limited
data on it. We stayed out due to limited interest, but if something
is in there worth our time, we have ways of getting to it no matter
who is in our way.
Milo: <obviously flustered> It's within the North Agean Nebula. My sensors
go funny in there, so the exact coordinates are unknown.
I just follow the landmarks I'm told by the corsairs... Which is
why they left those platforms there. I wouldn't go forcing your way
in if I were you.
I respect the corsiars for saving me. I suggest if you want to
know the way? You send a trading vessel and ask for it.
They'll escort you themselves.
Other: ...it's there sir, just, the coords may be off, I see it there.
JJ: Very well, this has been quite useful intel for us I must say.
<conversation devolves into Milo ranting about science>
