it was fun, and the hostily this time went more than two lines and shoot all in 10 seconds or less, so tey did well.
the best part was there was no lag, at least for me, but i had a huge frame rate drop, that sometimes i could not see other players, mainly when big npcs explode or when many players were shooting the same target that i was shooting.
about what lucas wrote, well corsairs and coalition are enemies, but both have a "soft spot" for Gran Canaria so it is normal that they join forces to a greater good, the auxesia i have no idea why they were there. also he complain about their respawn base , well it was a undercover ops, you would not use zoner friendly bases or even zoner bases to do the attack, mainly so close to the fleet.

First, and probably the worst part of this, the Repair Ship. The Repair ship was always on the Barge, making it impossible to do more than a scratch. We tried (and did) to kill it a few times, but when it has the ability to respawn what is at most 50k away from the Barge, and at best like 5k, then there is not much point in doing so. By the time it's back, it'll have healed the Barge to full in a few seconds while the Unidentified side has to chew through over 6 million HP.
Second, the bases. It was very unfun for everyone involved to have to always fly from Omega-7 to whereever the Barge was. Dying as an Unidentified felt incredibly punishing while dying as a defender literally did not matter because of the number of people, but also because of the amount of bases they had available for them to dock at. There was at least one in every system, sometimes multiple.
And last, the people who defended the Barge. Yeah, this was an event, but that shouldn't mean that Auxesia + Zoners + Corsairs + Coalition + Bounty Hunters + MND + Freelancers should be in the same group, not doing a single thing about each other. What this did was that people who would normally shoot each other, and possibly the Barge, just rallied together and played the Defender role when the Event was set up in a way where they were allowed to attack despite not running the Unidentified ID.
And while the NPC's were present to "balance" out the event, they really didn't do anything at all in the end. They've scratched the Barge in 41 before the Unidentified people joined together to shoot it, but that's pretty much it. During the important parts of the event, they've just been killed while chasing a lone bomber or cruiser, and not focusing on the Barge like I imagine they should've. Also the fact that the Battleships were hostile to us as well, meaning they really weren't on our side either.
+1 on everything.
Some fun was had, there's something thrilling going up against a powerful enemy while massively outnumbered and doing as much damage as you can. It's just that the fact that all the damage done is immediatly negated that put a bit of a stop to that.

Zoners aren't one large entity, they are various groups of differing ideologies and interests. Since some individuals are complaining, it's certainly within interests to support independence to allow more collaborative links for the research industry, such as the case with Ames. Although, with differences with Zoners, it does mean that there are some that are more disliked, such as the Order/Corsair aligned ones in Theta or Zeta.
It isn't far fetched that groups would rather push for an independent outcome within Omega-48. Just because you have the option to attack, doesn't mean you have to take it.
If the attackers really were forced to come from Omega-7, that's a bit harsh considering the distance. Either way, the NPCs were fun, even if they lagged out the server. Very weird how they were focusing the fighters though.
I think the hostile restart being quite far away is a legit concern, and it probably should be closer the next time we do something like this.
The repairship was almost certainly a necessity though, given that it took over two hours for the Barge to reach the destination.
Ultimately there's a limit to how well the sides in something like this can be balanced by the setup, I mean it's not like we can force people to play the attackers, or prevent them from playing defenders, we can only encourage it by making it easier for them.
Also it was surprisingly entertaining flying the Heavy Lifter. Kudos.
Yes that is true Kaulet, many players use Zoner capital ships only to farm nomads, so not that many showed, even with the promise of good loot drop.
i didn't wrote and nobody also did, but big kudos to the barge pilot, for the patience mainly on O 41, rocks, mines, going around the star ... for me it was the worse job on the mission.
Anyway, nice event...
More of this in the future, and i like the choice of factions to attack or defend.
It depended on the personal alignment to the Zoners.
I have received my part of friendly fire, as others had.
