Esteemed officers and admirals,

I am Harold Sommerville, Admiral of Her Majesty's Royal Navy, sending this transmission in light of recent developments within the Tau sector. While both our nations are indeed busy with other matters, it is also my belief that, to guarantee peace and stability in the sector, our militaries must work together.

More importantly, the Republic of Liberty has launched a full-scale invasion of the Insurgency's space, and as a consequence we were forced to take measures to guard the safety of the Realm, thus authorizing an invasion of the Vespucci system, a task completed successfully by our experienced crews. To keep the discussion on the topic at hand, the increased militarism displayed by the Republic is of utmost concern to our nation and we would like to organize future military drills with both allies and other Houses to discourage any possible attacks upon the sovereignty of our states.

As the first such measure, our pilots have succesfully blockaded Tau-31 and Tau-53, preventing the barbaric Gallic government from expanding its influence further. However, we must continue work towards the establishment of the Tau sector as a zone designed to deter any attempts by the Union to initiate yet another invasion of the Sirius Sector. To that end, I propose that our navies enter and lay siege to one of the few remaining stations within the Orkney system, Fort de Bregancon, and ensure that it is damaged beyond repair. It is currently located in orbit of Planet Eday.

The Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Bretonia have already laid siege to this installation months prior, however it is in our interests, with the destruction of the Issoudun Shipyard and lane infrastructure in the system, to guarantee that the Gallic Navy is unable to regain its strength. Furthermore, the attacks by the recently-seen Nomad warforms within Orkney will aid us greatly due to the lack of units available to defend an installation such as the one we have mentioned.

Please let us know what your thoughts are on this urgent matter. Our fleets are ready to embark upon this quest of securing peace in the Tau sector.

We are observing Liberty's renewed efforts on suppressing their internal acts of rebellion with great interest. Liberty's campaign in deterring the Insurgency cause once and for all may both be a relief and a concern to the security of the entire sector.

Regardless, we acknowledge and full-heartedly support Bretonia's desire to keep the Gallic Union under tight observation. This matter remains of utmost importance to the Empire of Kusari - despite the slow return to normalized relations between our and the Gallic nation.
Fort de Bregancon's continued existence despite the destruction across the system, can be considered a sign of Gallia's continued interest to project its military power beyond the point required to secure their mining facility. Potentially, the Fort becomes a fortified forward and supply base alike to the infamous Fort Albi, a key checkpoint of Gallia's supply lines during the end phase of their failed invasion. We should remind the Gallic Union that any sort of military build-up in the Tau Sector is destabilizing the fragile balance and has to be countered with extreme prejudice.

I hereby authorize the deployment of several heavy units belonging to the 1st Major Fleet under the Matsumoto, as well as key support units of the Kyushu Naval Garrison District to be freed from regular duty and redeployed into the Tau sector. The combined strike force of Kusari and Bretonia shall put a swift end to this installation.

On a more personal note, I look forward to working alongside the honorful Bretonian Forces after so many years. I hope they did not lose the remarkable spirit of the Gallic Invasion period.

I sincerely apologize for the lack of response over this channel, however recent events have forced me to oversee more significant matters. The support you have provided is greatly appreciated and we hope that such cooperation will continue into the upcoming years.

While both the Kingdom of Bretonia and the Empire of Kusari have different interests in the Tau sector, it is my belief that the militaries of both states must work together to guarantee stability and peace, as the other interests can be negotiate by the competent goverment representatives to fall in line with the concerns of both parties.

I believe that this is sufficient for the time being. The channel will remain open for further communication between our militaries to prevent any possible incidents. I wish you a pleasant evening, Admiral, and once again, thank you for the support provided against the barbaric Gallic state.
