Chaotic Moments in Tau-29 and surroundings - Naval Forces react with utmost professionalism
Tau-29. 17.12.829.
The Tau Sector was always witness to many incidents and the decades of warfare left its marks.
The Emperor's quest to slam Gallic influence out of the Tau sector had been a success, the following stabilization of relations to the Kingdom of Bretonia and the micro-state of the Crayter Republic are only going to boost the stability of the Tau highway.
This newly founded partnership faces its first major challenge, as our sources within the Government and Naval Forces confirm, multiple ships have disappeared on the 17th December under mysterious circumstances. Neither side possesses sufficient data to reconstruct what exactly led to the simultaneous disappearance of a Bretonian Destroyer, a Crayterian Gunboat force and one of our Battlecruisers. The only known fact to this date is that all sides reacted to a sudden and inexplainable intrusion of Gallic warships within a timeframe of roughly one hour.
Several news outlets already report on the case, with fake news and clear propaganda stunts such as the "Sirian News Network" attempting to destabilize a situation fully under control by the Naval Forces. Such blatant fakes reek of Gallic propaganda hoping to undermine the renewed stability efforts in the Tau sector. We urge our readers to stay vigilant of unknown Gaijin news sources, as they are almost guaranteed to be mere propaganda tools utilized by untrustworthy entities.
The Naval Forces reported a state of heightened alertness and trade vessels are subject to routine questioning. Trade is likely to slow down or completely stop due to the most unfortunate hysteria initiated by the Bretonian Government. Trade vessels within Kusari en route to the Tau-29 system are advised to remain within Kyushu for the time being. Spokesman of the IKN-Akatsuki, the backbone of peacekeeping units in Tau-29, Shido Kijima, also confirmed that the Naval Forces condemn Bretonias decision to enact a "Do not travel" zone over the system, citing that this requires a drastic increase of military presence within Tau-31 by the Bretonians. A move which can be seen as provocative due to a lack of coordination with our forces.
In contrary, Admiral Okamoto confirmed us that the coordinated search and rescue operation under command of the IKN-Akatsuki and the IKN-Nagato will permit the presence of Crayter and Bretonian vessels within Tau-29 until the lost ships are either found or can be confirmed as lost in action. He repeatedly urged all sides to remain calm and disciplined, as regardless if the Gallics, criminal elements or even an usurper caused this incident, they would most certainly aim to create the chaos the Bretonians willingly supports..
It appears clear that the chaos Bretonia was left in after the Gallic invasion became a systematic issue. We managed to interview a handful of people about their opinion on how the situation will develop and who the responsible party is:
Itto Kaii Umakai Miwa: "I have arrived in Tau-29 a few hours ago. There are lots of wings being organized and dispatched. Honestly though, I do not think we will find anything but wrecks. Victims of a Gallic revenge act, an opportunity strike which should never be possible again. I have faith in the Admiralty to ensure such a chaos will not repeat itself."
Ichiro Date, retired KSP detective: "I am honestly worried. It does not really matter who or what caused the vessels to disappear. They disappeared within our territory. We are responsible to do our best in order to retrieve them. I just hope our foreign friends can behave themselves, if anything this situation does not need another incident."
Yuki Mikudo, a Samura branch spokeswoman: "The timing is awfully convenient, both of the incident and the travel advisory of Bretonia. All of this happening that shortly after the Treaty of Lewes was signed. Samura Heavy Industries will carefully observe all new developments, Shinkaku confirmed that their security wings will work overtime and temporarily hire additional guns to keep unlawful entities as back so that the Naval Forces may quickly find the lost vessels."
Bretonia obviously never intended to keep faith with the Treaty. They are lashing out in all directions. I imagine it will ultimately lead to their House's dismantlement.
