Her eyes met the admiral's eyes. She kept this way even if her instinct told her to look away. As the admiral got closer to her, enough to be able to touch her, when she took a strand of her hair, the corsair held the gaze of the admiral. Usually, Nina would push away the person touching her but at this moment, it would be probably risky if she did so. She simply stay still.
When the admiral said that sentence: ''Nein, that won't be it... no matter. We two will continue later.'' Nina was fixed on how long she will be there and it will probably not be today she will go away. When the admiral moved away for Stahl, Nina looked at Traudel and then at the admiral again. She wanted to say something but what? What to say without being in danger? Nina opened a little bit her mouth but nothing came out.
Her thoughts were many. She asked to herself without saying anything: ''Why can't I talk? What is wrong with me?! Is that admiral that dangerous being able to shut me up? Why am I afraid?! This- this is nothing compared on Crete! And why does she want us to continue later??'' No answers to her questions but only time will tell.
Gunter managed to keep his neutral face on with Herzsprung looking at him for that short period. Though he had to admit this uneasy aura that she brought with her made it significantly harder to do that. Traudel's heavy breathing didn't help either... He wanted to reassure Traudel all would be fine, but that would be a blatant lie.
Stahl started sweating heavily... His face pale white. He knew Admiral Herzsprung's infamous reputation. He knew perfectly well what "a lesson in consequence".
It was too late for him to crawl back now... The die had been cast. It was all or nothing. "I...I will not go down for this! You will all pay!" He raised his gun towards the Admiral.
Meanwhile, Gunter looked at everyone's faces. The confusion.. but mostly fear reigning on them. Even Nina who was so tough this whole time got silenced by the Admiral's presence! What he noticed the most was Flotenkapitan Stahl sweating heavily. Then he heard him shouting and saw his gun arm raised! Without thinking he rushed towards the unexpecting Stahl and slammed him against the wall. "Nein!" Gunter shouted. Desperately trying to hold his gunarm to the ground. He wouldn't be able to hold long though. Stahl was way heavier and bulkier than him.
Traudel swallowed, forgot to breathe and then abruptly continued as Herzsprung had passed again. Quick glance over to Gunter, Stahl and lastly Nina. The look she received from the Corsair prompted an expression of genuine fear, concern and open confusion to what just transpired. Whatever was going on was not in her favour. But same as the Corsair, Traudel did not utter a single word. Non-verbal communication was the best both could rely on for the time being - and that timeframe was rather short.
Herzsprung narrowed her remaining eye the second Stahl made up his mind by taking aim at her, no attempts to move, duck or jump for cover. The physically no doubt several magnitudes weaker shell of a woman just remained at her spot and glared at Stahl. Scarred chin slightly raised.
"Monkey see, monkey do. So predictable..." The chiding tone from before gone, leaving nothing but an uncanny lack of expected anger. Or indifference to her own existence. "Do not attack what you cannot kill. My disappointment in your lack of education is growing."
While Herzsprung talked, her orderly removed a stun baton from his belt. Crackling to life with the unmistakable hum of electricity. He weighed it in his right hand, then simply turned around from the scuffle to keep an eye on Nina. Traudel meanwhile rushed after Gunter to assist him in the struggle that ensued, busy to keep Stahl against the wall and prevent him from firing at anyone. "Gunter, careful! Scheiße, is everyone crazy here?!"
The admiral herself began to open her holster, taking out her sidearm. Watching. Even now without much in terms of haste or urgency. "Many a lesson will follow."

While they were all busy, the crimson haired corsair simply looked at the show. She couldn't believe it. Among the corsairs, it was natural these scenarios but within the military, it surprised her how unorganized they were in this very situation. There was nothing much to do than observing. She simply decided to sit down near the wall and waits.
Stahl did not expect this hard push against the wall. Gunter held his arm, denying him from firing at Herzsprung. He recovered and was almost able to get Gunter of him until a second body pushed him against the wall. Traudel joined in as well. TRAITORS!! All of you!!! He kept barking.
Gunter held on as long as he could. When Traudel joined, he could hold Stahl and the gun until guards could hold Stahl as well.. *BANG BANG*
He didn't feel anything first, but soon a hard stabbing pain got into his left leg. He held on, biting the pain, helped by the adrenaline. He didn't know how much longer he could hold though.
It seemed that in the struggle, Stahl had fired 2 bullets into Gunter's leg.
Nina had, for the time being at least, the full attention of Herzsprung's orderly. Stun baton at the ready, but seeing as the Corsair opted to sit down he remained in medium distance. Just keeping watch. Even as shots were fired, his attention remained centered on the only one his superior had actually touched so far for some reason.
Traudel however had her hands full with keeping an enraged superior pinned against the wall, while guards from outside entered the cell. Equipped with similar batons as Herzsprung's orderly, they waited not particularly long to put their stunning abilities to good use. The shots had alarmed them, no doubt. They also alarmed Traudel herself, as she frantically pushed even harder against her current target.
For the first time since her arrival, the old hag portrayed another emotion - slight regret about something. Precisely in the moment her own gun lowered again, not firing a shot. "Take him away, he'll be dealth with later. We will rectify the anomaly that was his blatant transgressions accordingly." With that said, she turns around to Nina again. Stopping next to her orderly for a brief moment, issuing some silent commands. Once again the man nods, turns around and nears the commotion. Herzsprung addresses Nina afterwards. "You had a most interesting host, Corsair. I have to admit. Unfortunately he is out of comission now. Means you'll have to make do with me. Tell me... what are your thoughts on your current predicament up to now? I am eager to find out what is inside that head of yours. You may speak now... "
Sitting on the ground, Nina looked without saying a word. She was shocked to see a high rank officer shooting another military, Gunter. She closed her eyes not taking much attention to what was happening next.
She opened her eyes when the old woman talked to her. Their eyes meet each other again. Without looking away, Nina slowly got on her feet. She wanted to know what Nina was thinking of her situation. ''You can leave me alone, granny.'' She said in her head but if she would say this openly, she will probably end up worse than now. Nina let a moment of silence to gather words.
''At the beginning, I was pissed and now, I find it funny that you have cabrons like Stahl in your ranks. I am not going to lie but I wanted to laugh hard to this show. It was the same show I lived on Crete but I was the actor and not the spectator. Of course, there was no gun just fists. I also want to leave this place and continue to annoy your fleet of my presence.''
Gunter saw Stahl getting carried away.
Now that the adrenaline left his body, he tried to follow the conversation with Nina and Herzsprung. Unfortunately he could barely stand straight at this point. "S-so far we haven't m-managed to... to..." That was unfortunately too much for his body. He was losing too much blood. He gave one look at Nina, then the admiral and his final one to Traudel. Then he collapsed to the floor, blood flowing from under him.
"This can't be the end, it can't!" He said to himself in his mind. His last thoughts went to his fiancée he met at the Oktoberfest and his family on the farm at Holstein . Then he collapsed.
"An astute observation. 'Cabrons' like him indeed. Doesn't it put into question what reality and our perception of reality is? You believe one version to be the truth - then this truth is replaced by another once your surroundings change." Herzsprung seemed pleased with Nina's answer, there even was a light nod to it. Vanishing quickly, however. "Annoying my fleet is not going to happen anytime soon. Quite the contrary, young Corsair. Quite the contrary."
Traudel let go off Stahl as the guards took over, instead she exhales once and heads over to Gunter. Preventing him from accidentally hitting his head while collapsing, having noticed the blood on his pants and boots. "Nein nein nein, different priorities now. We'll get you fixed up Leutnant. Promised. You did good." As Gunter passed out, the Oberleutnant flagged down one of the remaining guards while applying pressure to the wound. "Get me a stretcher and then off to the infirmary with him, Bewegung!" Traudel's hands turn red and shake a little, but before she could assist in carrying the injured Leutnant away the admiral addressed her without even looking over.
"Leave him, Oberleutnant. You will join us instead. Be assured, he'll be treated accordingly. As will everyone involved in this. All four prisoners, be they dead or not, are to be relocated to the Schwarzach. This took up enough time. Get a copy of the entire surveillance footage and transmit it over, i expect it ready for review once we arrive." A single nod towards her orderly, who in turn orders remaining guards to handcuff Nina. "That wish of yours is coming true, you will leave this place." With that Herzsprung turns around, heading for the only door of the cell. Everybody else was, naturally, expected to follow.
Traudel stares at her own bloodied hands, blinks and... steps forward in a sudden movement. Intercepting one of the guards with the handcuffs. "I will do this, i brought her here in the first place." After a short moment of potential confusion on the guard's part, he hands them over and instead grabs one of the bodies. Now closer to Nina than ever before during this chaotic day, she lowers her voice and almost whispers while fiddling with the handcuffs. "Whatever happens. Play. By. Her. Rules."
Her hopes fell apart. She was about to ask where she will be but Herzsprung was already away. ''Where will I go now? My day sucks terribly. Being captured and not only that but will remain captive for a moment again!!!'' Her thoughts were cut when Traudel got closer and told her to play with the rules of Herzsprung. She did not know what she meant but did a discreet nod to Traudel meaning she understood her message even if she did not really understood it. Her thoughts soon began to make fuzz in her head.
While they were walking, Nina was looking at the ground. ''Si.. A pure joy.''
