So how do the new changes impact the thruster capacity for gunboats? I sincerely hope you have not turned them into thruster management heavy classes like the Cruisers and LFs.

It doesn't. They have single or twin thrusters for visuals now but the drain is like running a cheetah on a gunboat now.

The sheet is read-only but you can check the "calculators" below the ship stat spreads to see what they mean.
Capacity scales down with score where recharge goes up. This is to prevent powercores from being an overly dominant stat, as was the case during testing before we made this change.
Interesting. I guess the "sums" having some variation is to account for things like turret arcs and profile which are not as... quantifiable as pure stats. I think I will be looking most to test gunboats in practice most of all.
Any chance we can get simmilar formula for weapons? I am curious about the process here.

Weapons for capital ships have mostly been eyeballed, with efficiency versus velocity being the main way to keep things balanced and grounded. There's only a handful so it's both more difficult to 'calibrate' a formula and a little bit of a waste of effort considering it can be done manually to similar effect.
Efficiency (power usage) for fighter (and bomber, as of the patch) guns is calculated based off of alpha damage, DPS, velocity and dispersion, and I can at some point try to type out the formula behind it.
I would be most really interested in fighters (and now bombers) gun formula. Some look into snub stats would also be appreciated. I heard from some testers that everything was recalculated for this patch, in most particular armor values all across the board.
