Can you explain what stops you from doing the same thing?
The fact that I need people to log against my group and the fact that aggressively recruiting only ever leads to your faction in particular growing by 5 players or whatever. After a month, it crumbles apart like there's no tomorrow because they don't understand how to even play.
I am confused - [RM], DTR, AWES, GC- have a similar approach - all of them have retained players. It's not them, it's you.

I would like you to hear this and other vets to realize this. Your ways are OVER. The only people that really matter for building factions are people that actively enjoy logging inside the game and have a passion for playing it. If you think your edgy forum RP is a great contribution to the server - it isn't . We have 9 people online now. Who actually matters are the leaders that focus on logging into the game and who support and encourage others who log into the game. You cannot turn back time. What GC, AWES, and DTR do is here to stay. They made people realize how much fun the game can be. You can dream of your ancient dreams of quality, control over people, and elitism but you will forever be stuck in trying hard to merely grind out your three days.
It's just an old game people play to have some fun, nothing more. Enable their enjoyment and they will join you and stick around with you.
I strongly recommend you listen to this - it opened my own eyes to how stupidly rigid Disco factions have been.
GC- doesn't have this approach. I give every single new player I come across and who seems lost on what to do some guidelines and maybe some money to start up. I encourage them to do their own thing and join whatever faction they like. If I invite them to the faction channel it is to meet more people and find people they can fly with, not to join GC.
If people join GC, its because they told me they are interested. Not because I encouraged them to join us. (Except for Ext, ive been bothering him for months.)

I want to ignite this thread leave my word here and feedback your recent roleplay with Insurgency, a baby born of sin made by the Hellfire Legion and Liberty Separatists.
First things first: sudden turn of reputation. I understand that some of you lack the context, so here it is - although the Hellfire Legion had Corsairs listed as unfriendly and Outcasts as hostile, the situation was slightly different with the Separatists: they simply didn't care of Corsairs but were allied or at least friendly to the Outcasts, Liberty Rogues and Lane Hackers until some events happened, that made, now the Insurgency, hostile to Xenos, Libert Rogues, Auxo. Corsairs were still uninvolved and Outcasts only observed from distance, tasting their best Cardamon Wine... Anyway, what do we have here? A situation when a faction that for long been either unfriendly or isolated from another suddenly receives an offer to migrate their assets. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for RP, especially when it's encouraged by the ongoing story, but... don't you think it's a bit too artificial?
This is not the first time the similar situation happens, and you cannot change the past, done RP is done, but for future - try to make it look slightly more realistic, less forced and artificial. It will not only look better for outsiders, but also be more interesting and immersive for yourselves
To balance the salty taste of my message, I want to remind of a nice, although weird and short (only for like 10 minutes or so) RP I had with one of your, most likely shared, transports I encountered in Omega-41 on my Core| bomber and decided not to blow it up for sh*t & giggles but to RP a bit. I hope to see more of such interactions, and not only /1 /2 and zerging POB defenses, despite someone of the HC being informed that assault is only on paper and is not intended to bring asset down - no profit, too wasty by time and effort
While we are aware that sieges bring the worst out of people... we still think that giving at least snubs a fair fight should be a thing.
I guess 1 HF, 1 bomber can deal with a SCRA VHF without running away or hugging the base (weapon platforms). And telling the caps to stay out of a 3vs2, would also be nice.
It would be also cool, to not gank every ship we have, even if it's just there to have a fight instead of sieging your PoB. (Yes, we have some people who just want the fighting and no sieging) Being in a BC, and getting attacked by 1 bomber, 1 cruiser, 1 GB and 1 BS is a little bit overkill.
And for the last point, please make sure to always post two roleplay lines, we caught already + 5 people in DTR not doing that and going guns blasting after the first line dropped.
I've met two of your folks today in Penny, a train and a cruiser. I'm glad I decided to DM the cruiser guy before RPing any further to make him aware that 2.8 doesn't allow escorting in cruisers or bigger outside of ZoI (and that's something he should be made aware of beforehand by your people), because the guy in the train pretty much tried to convince him of engaging anyways just to save 4,000 units of helium which he wouldn't had lost should he complied with my actual demands. It's pretty lame, on top of putting this faction's officialdom and the cruiser guy in a bad spot.
Do better and don't get your own people in trouble, people barely encounters your ships outside of Xi and Gamma, and the encounters usually are kinda lame when the other end involves a DTR transport.
I've a few things I'd like bring up. Take this as constructive criticism.
First: The fact that you can do that doesn't mean you should always do that.
I do applaud his ability to /1 /2 in the same second.
Fact to the matter is, the messages below were completely unrelated to the conversation that was happening at the moment.
This alone makes me thing the player in question does not care about RP one bit and is just dropping those presets to avoid getting hit with 2.2.

Second thing is, the Core| has never went as far as to camp bases and attack ships as they undock. One of our battleships was attacked while it was still invulnerable by the dock protection plugin.
I find this, along with your never ending urge to pile a single fighter with three gunboats to be just completely, pardon my french, laughable. If you are aiming to earn people's respect and expect fair treatment from them, keep in mind, what comes around goes around.
Hello and thank you for using our feedback thread.
About Destruccion, he thought we'll engage right away, that should explain the first set of lines, but we didn't, as we gave you guys some time to log and group up. The 2nd set of lines was when we actually started firing. He does care about RP, but that wasn't the best place to do it, don't you think?
About the second thing, the battleship was indeed engaged before he manged to RV with your main fleet, but not when he was still invulnerable. From what I noticed he actually had time to drop his lines and already started moving towards your main fleet. Also, we did that because Core players started logging, and within minutes we were swarmed. I hope you find this understandable since it seems it wasn't obvious enough. This comment would've made sense if we would've won the battle, but only the battlecruiser died, which probably it was you.
Thank you for your non-laughable constructive criticism.

Quite interesting. None of us camped at the NPC base, we gave you guys plenty of time to get out and engage. When we saw that Core are amassing with OC's as reinforcements, WE then decided to engage. Three minutes later, we were outnumbered 3to1, so i don't know why you are crying ?
Sure i did not RP that much, I gave one line how you guys are ugly and that was it, IDK what more you expect from me
