I ask because for Example Cortez (Orbitals Main System) is a Joint Protectorate of both Liberty and Bretonia. Does that mean we are Part of both LibGov and BretGov?
To be fair your faction is part of the "Independent Worlds", not explicitly House Space.
There's no similar advantage for officialdom for Unlawfuls (obviously), but maybe something beneficial for them will be coming in the future.

I am in the same boat with Starfliers. Based out of the indie worlds and not explicitly a House.

In addition to that, if either the 1ic or 2ic of a faction isn't able to take up that spot (reduced activity for example) they should have the ability to be replaced with a faction representative instead after their written agreement.
This system also fails to consider the factions that aren't official, something which some Govs (cough cough, Libgov, cough cough) already realized and took measures towards that.
Good idea, pretty lackluster implementation in my honest opinion. I understand that some people just can't be assed to play by the rules and end up screwing over the entire playerbase, but your now mandatory Government build is just a worse version of what we (Libgov) already had. We had achieved a very good level of representation of our house by involving OFs, non-OFs and even people in there who didn't represent any faction but where there because they're respected and logical.
You're ruining this.
I disagree about Lib Gov, it did feel arbitrary often, they are why the OF has to have representation was introduced in the first place when they excluded LIA
Jokes on you, LIA was and still is in Libgov, get your facts straight.

no, it was excluded initially, they are why the rule was introduced after I pointed it out
I do agree that staff isn't the fastest at the best of times. That's fine, people have lives, they're busy, but this feels like it has potential to slow things down to a crawl if staff intervention is needed even for a simple government post to approve a license, which could otherwise be done sometimes even in hours by, for example, libgov. This system didn't go through enough drafts and does not benefit the wider playerbase, imho, at least if I'm perceiving it correctly.

LibGov had included unofficial faction reps for a long time. Unspoken rules was, faction or faction rep should not be stupid. It was very low standard that even LIA couldn't uphold. So you can't put that on LibGov. If faction is straight out stupid, created out of spite for something, it shouldn't be "the right" to represent it in LibGov. It's a privilege. Which unofficial factions just lost due to staff's decision.

Well by this logic we can simply declare Cortez as Orbital Property and create our own Goverment. Plus there is also the Case of Baden Baden. This would make us Part of the Official Factions of Rheinland at least.
You see the situation isn't that simple and thats why I ask for CLARIFICATION From the STAFF.

Might as well include them under the guise of their respective political lobbyists. Though I suppose this only applies to politically active ones.

It's very simple. OSC was Liberty faction. If you created official faction and refused to acknowledge Liberty's heritage and/or to be put within Liberty official factions, you don't get the benefits of being Liberty official faction. Understandable, when people want to have hands in both cookie jars, but have some decency in not being so greedy with having all the advantages
